    As Bradley noted, a front transaxle drain plug with a square stud is preferred over the recessed allen version and here's a reason why. In the process of changing my fluid I found that the plug (original socket allen) had grazed a rock at some point and was damaged leaving a burr on the inside and I could not get an allen wrench or socket into it. It didn't look like much of a burr but it took well over an hour with a needle file to clean it up enough to get an allen socket into it. It's just a 3/8" pipe thread so I replaced it with a standard 3/8" pipe plug with square stud so I never have to go through this again.

    I love the sound of a 3-cylinder Kubota, they sound so smooth, make a real nice hum. I have one in my 725 Grasshopper mower, it is a gas, but sounds sooo nice.

    So useful and encouraging to anyone on the fence! Cutting the procedure down to size: what some would consider a daunting thought of changing the hydraulic oil/filters themselves. 😎 It's really great that Ventrac chose external hydraulic filters (and even mounted them vertically). They made it as easy as they could to take care of these machines!
    Way to drift on the corners, out back. 😄

    Another awesome video Bradley. I love the humor- Thank you. I assume you order of operations could be filters first then drain front? I recall another video (not yours) showing that order.

      Because of their upright orientation, removing the filters first won't do anything different than if you removed them after the drain. I always remove the filters after draining to ensure the system is empty and no residual oil can leak out during the filter change. Even then, a little bit of oil will still leak out as seen in the video

    Thanks for all the great videos! Have you ever run into your main hydraulic resorvoir oil slowly getting into your rear transaxle and filling it up?

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
      @bluecordprecisiongrading2504  Před 5 měsíci

      That's not possible as the rear transaxle is completely separate from the front. They are not connected in any form. The only way to fill or drain the rear transaxle are the access plugs on the case itself.

      Do you have an email k can send you a video to? If my rear plug is out and I fill the main hydraulic reservoir on top, it will slowly seep out. When I originally opened my rear plug 2 + litre came gushing out.

      My closest dealer has a couple things to check. Return line from rear pump plugged or seal in the pump. I’ll keep you posted!

    • @hollyfehr3182
      @hollyfehr3182 Před 5 měsíci

      It was the lower seal on the rear motor under the seat. I replaced the upper seal on the rear motor previously and should have done lower as well. My tractor was used for a lot of ripping and breaking ground. Probably worked a little harder than what it’s designed to do.
      Thanks for responding to my question!

    Nice video. Btw, my personal preference in re branches is if it hits me or the rops, it gets trimmed. 😁

    What’s the name of the injector pump you are using to fill the hydraulics?

    You have owned a Ventrac for quite a few years. Have you ever heard of anyone rolling one over, or have you ever come close yourself? It has a ROPS, so I guess it is possible.

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
      @bluecordprecisiongrading2504  Před 2 lety

      No. I've only seen one example of a Ventrac rolling over with a dual wheel kit installed and it was being dragged up a VERY steep hill with a winch and no operator in the seat
