I think it's like that with celebs in general. Have you ever seen how ppl talk about guys from korean boy bands like BTS, EXO etc.? Same thing. Hyper analysing every move and a whole ass drama can start among the fans just because in a 4 second clip one of the band members glanced at another one in a way that ppl interpreted as "hostile". Or god forbid one of the guys was "too nice" to a girl from a girl group publicly and ppl cropped it, and are now creating a whole story about how they're dating which in the world of K idols is a big NO NO, and ppl get pissed and send death threats. ☠️
Idols/celebrity culture should not be a thing and ppl also need hobbies.
That dark lip on Kevin is GORGEOUS! Also, love these best and worst makeup look videos! It shows that celebrities are still human at the end of the day, and have bad makeup days like the rest of us!

I swear even though there is this 90s throwback/Y2K fashion thing going on, people are STILL locked into the Kardashian look. I was a teen in the 90s, and we had a variety of bold choices (that may not have been good choices but were better than bland & beige). Like frosted shimmer lipstick, dark gothy makeup, colored eyeliners, body glitter, or shiny eyeshadow. It was a LOT, but it was more than sad shades of beige makeup everywhere and baaaaad ombre lips with nonexistent lipliner blending (look up beef lips lipstick images, and you'll see it and not stop seeing it).

Johnny - your makeup re-dos are amazing! My husband could care less about makeup and I’ve shown him the three you’ve done now and he’s been shocked each time. You really do have a way of bringing out the best in someone’s features.
It would be really cool if you took these re-dos into a more permanent part of either the podcast or on your channel. It’s such a good way to break down what works and what doesn’t. It so beautifully illustrates a change that can be made to make a big difference. You could even have viewers submit photos of their makeup and use that for teaching how to to update a look to take it to the next level.

Yeah.. You can learn so much with these makeovers! I try to absorb all this information (especially regarding forty years old) to make sure to get a nice makeup look... If they would write a book about makeup, I would jump on it! 😅

Tbf when I met Trixie I acted like a complete moron. I didn't know what to do so I just kept staring at her entire face and I literally said "your makeup is so fun." She was sweet as anything, complimented my shirt, gave me a hug, took a pic with me and talked quite a bit to me whilst I just had a brain fart. There's something about Trixie, it's easy to get star struck by her.
She really is spectacular, both inside and out. ❤

The plastic surgery procedure is called buccal fat removal to make your face narrow and sculpted. It's very popular, or so I'm told by a friend who is a nurse in a plastic surgeon's office. Why? No idea, but then again that's how I feel about most "popular" trends. Love your critiques. E definitely needs you both! ♥♥💜

@pinkbubblesnake I agree. It really ages people imo. Of course we lose fat and muscle volume as we age so it's good to have it in your face as opposed to not. Once the buccal fat pads are removed, they're gone. They may regret when they're older because buccal fat helps to have a smoother more youthful appearance and it won't be there anymore. To each their own, but I definitely won't do it. lol
You're so right about poor Kelly--whoever did those eyes needs a written warning. I'm of the age of heavy black liner and even I'm slowly giving it up because it just doesn't work anymore.
She also has the WORST stylist! I swear they hate her. The outfits they give her on her show are so bad! That woman is too pretty and too talented for them to do her that dirty 😂 Also, I checked and she’s only 41.

Since the show kicked off with this topic, I did a quick search, for songs and albums to qualify for the 2024 Grammys the release date was Oct. 1, 2022 - Sept. 15, 2023. TS Midnights was released on Oct 21, 2022.

Okay not tied to the video but I tried the About-Face foundation because of you two trying it out. I was using Dior because of you two, but the About-Face is more in my price range and omg I have never looked so good in foundation! Like I have mature oily skin, and I really can't get over how flawless I look in it, and it doesn't settle into my wrinkles. Just wanted to share because I love seeing you two try and give your opinions on makeup. So thanks because I might have passed this over otherwise! Thank you both for the hard work and being honest about the stuff you use.

Hello guys, Johnny kept commenting on the sunkin in look of some of the women. I think that is the Bucal fat (i think that's what it's called) removal. I had watched a video of a plastic surgeon who was talking about it and he said it's removal of cheek fat and it makes the mouth not close normally. Maybe it's just me but a plastic surgery "trend" is a fool's errand as trends come and go and now you've surgically altered your body.

Demi did not "go back" to she/her (exclusive,) they decided to go to she/they because so many people aren't respecting the exclusive they/them and she's not bothered enough by she/they to fight it. As a she/they user, I get it.
Advice: literally use both. Switch it up. Use both options in the same paragraph.
I feel the pain ☹ I go by they/them in english but since in french, the gender neutral pronoun "iel" is a neopronoun, its a struggle to get people to use it. I decided to go by "iel/elle/il" in french (altho people exclusively use "Il" despite it being the least gender afirming but oh well).

I’m a swiftie and I totally agree with you on the fact that she needs to change up her makeup and look a bit to reflect her music. Especially having seen her past photoshoot for a magazine which was just stunning. Also, I think the watch necklace and everything was a Clara bow reference.

the red lip and cat eye with shimmer is 100% a Taylor thing. I wouldn’t doubt she tells her makeup artist that that’s exactly what she wants, no modifications. she literally references it in her songs; it’s a part of her brand. the big blonde curly hair used to be a part of it too, but she changed it for Red and I think since then she’s struggled to find a style that suits her and her ‘era’ branding, so we end up with looks that don’t do anything for her
