  • A viewer recently asked if it was acceptable to rejoin a motorcycle club. I said "sure!" As long as you're not "out bad." He asked what that was, so, here you go. What is "OUT BAD," and what is the process and what can get you thrown out? Comment below with questions and video topic ideas, and make sure you are a subscriber if you want to come along for our rally vacation up at the ‪@SturgisBuffaloChip‬!!!

the idea of riding a motorcycle is freedom when you're told you cannot go here or there, & what to wear and ride, when to be here or there at this or that time with this or that person and don't talk to whoever, is anything but freedom. imagine a grown man being told who to talk to and how. great point you made, tks.

After my 3 brother was abandoned in trouble I knew it was time to leave the mc, it started when I dared to question the p about integrity! Respect the groups that don't leave a brother when he is down, whether incarcerated, broke down outta state or family matters! I admit I wasn't blameless! Ride safe!

Some clubs have a limit to the number of times you can walk away and come back, each club will have its own bylaws and as a member you should know them and have access to a copy said bylaws. The rejoin policy will be listed in the bylaws and when you leave generally your status will be made very clear to you when you turn in your cut.

I’m a SA of a riding club that is part of a large civic club. We are organized in the same manner as most MC’s and as our larger civic organization…P, VP, sec, treasurer, SA…We have had 2 members that we have put out bad, one was an ex treasurer who we caught stealing from the RC. He was put out of the RC, out of the civic org and is now a member of another organization we will call the department of corrections!! The other was put out of just the RC after MANY warnings about improper and unsafe riding in the pack. We tried everything to keep this from happening from training sessions with several very experienced and respected members(road captain, tail gunner, road guards) to one on one sit downs to find out why he refused to follow our rules of the road, to temporary suspensions. It finally got to the point where the members refused to ride with him so we had no choice but to put him out bad. He was able to remain in the civic organization but will never be allowed to ride with us. Some people just can’t or won’t be saved!!

Best statement I ever heard was "It's tough to get the Patch, it's even harder to KEEP the Patch.".
Had a member snitch on a Brother at his job for "misappropriation". Basically scrap that was headed for the trash was put in the back of the Brother's truck. The Brother lost his job and the Snitch lost his Patch. This was years ago but even today the Snitch is not just OB, we also have no interaction with him if we see him at a motorcycle event. To us he doesn't exists.
Oh, and the Brother got a better job and now holds an National tape.

    • @ProfessionalMonkey
      @ProfessionalMonkey  Před 3 lety +2

Damn... For us it's complicated. I think it's hard to earn your patch, but too hard to get rid of a member that isn't good. Not out bad, just not good. Once they have that rag, man, it takes an act of congress to get rid of them unless they do something "Out Bad" worthy.

That's a topic I never thought would need explaining, but alas... Maybe I've become naive. Most clubs here in Norway are decently close and such information is shared. Though there are other "alliances" that doesn't talk with them, so you end up with a lot of people with bad standing that ends up in more "outsider" clubs.

He started prospecting for a club that was in his state while still being a full patch member of our club and then posted a picture of himself in his other clubs cut with the prospect patch, but he hadn't left our club yet. I have tried to be a member of org. and clubs, but have always been amazed at how many people do not know how to ride in a group, they lag behind to far and do not know how to ride a line, they are all over the lane for no reason. I guess I have not met up with the right people and at my age it is to damn late to be a baby sitter. Learn how to ride and take corrective talks in the proper way. (Not Tijuana) Not at all a 1% club. my question is how do i know if its ok to ride in California with my cut? I usually ride alone. I am new to the American mc world, do not know anyone so I don´t know what the proper channels are or who the dominant club is, so I don´t know who to ask. Just do not want to get my ass whooped! I've seen it happen several times...there's 'out bad' & 'out bad no contact'...'out bad' is getting the boot because you screwed up pretty bad...If you're out bad, you can't come around the club or show up at club functions...individual members may still be able to do business with you privately, but you can't be around the club...I've only seen one guy come back from 'out bad', he had to put in a lot of work to prove himself before they finally allowed him to come back around...'out bad no contact', means you screwed up so bad, nobody in the club can have anything to do with you at all ever & they must be deleted from all social media, phone number deleted off your phone & nobody can even say a friendly hello or they'll be the next one out...there are also situations where you screwed up, but not extensively, but still deserving of club discipline & you'll have to get your eye dotted & that's done at a club meeting by the SA...you take your dotted eye & everything's good...you move on, it's squashed & nobody can mention it again & there's no hard feelings...don't take your medicine & you'll be out bad cause you ain't got enough grit to admit you f'ed up & take a dotted eye in order to keep your cut & your standing in the club...seen that a few times too...black eyes matter...

I know people that went out bad, and I don’t talk to them anymore. I actually turned in my patch and left a club one time, because the president could not be trusted. I talked with people above him when I was turning in my patches, and they asked me what was going on. The only thing I said was I can’t ride with someone I don’t trust, and for any more information you need to hear it from them because no matter what I say it will be turned around by them. I gave them chances and nothing was resolved so I left. I liked the organization, but if you can ride with someone you can’t trust and call them brother then you need to check your own moral standards.

snitching, bitching, talking behind someone's back is not a bad thing. Mature caring adults do it to protect each other, their club/organization and themselves. Now, when this is done with those thoughts in mind, it is productive to the whole biker community and our reputation.
How the outside world sees us? I don't care what they think of me and how I live my life on two wheels. I have the utmost respect for the world of bikers and our free living choices, to not be detrimental through my actions to the community as a whole.
If you see me in my Tan leathers and drinking my tea or soda while raising the roof to a good band or laughing loud at jokes. I'll be enjoying my life with those that share my desires. When I'm riding a bit fast through a curve, I'm testing myself and enjoying the open road. This is not off topic, I don't judge which side of the line a brother or sister chooses to live on because I push the limits of laws and codes. My choices won't offer me prison again, but a possible ticket or night in jail, maybe.
I make the conscious choices how free I want to be acting and perceived!
When I was a club member and offered prison or military, my brotherhood had my back where others would have denounced me. They and I made conscious decisions about what I brought on myself. mark my words; decisions I brought on myself! Personal responsibility?
    Hoka Hey

and i have just finished the Video and i Agree with All the Legit Reasons you Said, but Again Seeing Far to many put out bad for political reasons, i know some of the people and they are stand up people, one close friend was in a local club, and he had a bit of a drug problem, and he got federally busted, but went into rehab and got a light sentence, and with NO PROOF, he was put out bad, based on the light sentence, and accused of being a rat.......i would stake my life on the fact he ratted to NO ONE, he just was a 1st time offender and was offered drug rehab and he's now been clean and sober for a few years now. A long time ago i knew a guy was a patch holder for a local and he too was put out bad, no idea why, but a few years later i ran into him and he was an officer for a rival big time club, and when i was president of the support club for this guys 1st club the president of one of the chapters of our parent club knew that i knew this guy and automatically gave me shit because of the association, but over time this same chapter president asked me to step up and prospect, which i had to decline because in my youth (20's) i was in Law Enforcement and Protocol only allowed me to support club status.

@@ProfessionalMonkey yep, i know this guy personally, there is a group of us hang out at a local coffee shop and he's been with us for several years now, and i would totally trust him, he's a seriously good hearted person caught up in some BS because of a meth issue trying to keep up with the club lifestyle.

So I have a question. And this may been addressed before. If you are part of a club, and you ride with say another organization. What's the edict for riding with them. Your patched in with abc and you ride with xyz on a poker run. How does that work. I'm trying not to name drop sorry it's vague.

So many things... It could be the tune, yes, but it could be a leaky intake manifold gasket, it could be a spark problem, it could be... I would pay to have it diagnosed with a "not to exceed" number figured in...

Usually at the end of the slip-on or muffler there's an end cap with two or three little screws that hold it on take that end cap off and you slide the baffle right out.
