    As a resident of East TN surrounded by great riding & living right in the middle of
    many rider's destinations I'd rather ride the backroads of FL than anywhere else
    I've ever been . I find it peaceful to find that long straight FL backroad & turn on
    some good music , hit the cruise control & enjoy the ride . Keep the great videos
    coming . Really enjoy each one .

    Recently found your channel. Live up in north GA but am a transplant native from FL. When you went riding I thought, "well, that looks familiar." Then you said you turned onto Seminole Pratt and I thought yep, that would be the road I lived off of 2 years ago. You're right that it's nice being able to put all your belongings on your property or a building. But, we lived right at the end of a road next to the Corbett and man the bugs and heat were unbelievable. I wouldn't recommend it. Much prefer the ocean breeze going further east. Now happily riding in the Georgia foothills. Great channel and content.

    That is a beeeau-ti-ful Road Glide. Not only will you cook your brakes by not engine braking but you will cancel out much of the centrifugal force that makes your bike want to stand up and it will be much more unstable. You know the old saying, "Never ride faster then your Guardian Angel can fly"... You know when you missed second gear, that was him getting back in front of you.

    Hey Monkey. Love the channel. Just thought I would let know what we done. We got a R&R trailer I converted. 19'3" inside. I haul the wife's trike and two Electra Glide. Mine and a buddy. Comes in right at 6000 lb (2,700 lb empty) because it's aluminum. I pull it with a twin turbo 3.5L F150 10 speed. Closest thing to a diesel without being a diesel. It's rated for much more but I don't think I would want too. Went over the top of Jellico Mountain 72 mph with the cruise and only 2,700 rpm. Anyway I appreciate your cautioning guys to be conservative on the tow vehicle. So many haven't a clue. Saw a tore up enclosed trailer that had rolled and threw out four full dress Harlies all scattered in the median one time coming back from Daytona. Don't know what happened but it was not pretty. Be safe!

    Not sure (lots of comments to wade thru, that's a good thing on your channel!) this year at Sturgis I used the GoPro for all my riding and got great video, encountered the same issue with battery time you alluded to - it requires that you keep the battery window open for the ride but you can use the USB adapter from the camera to your cigarette lighter/12v port to run off the bike while filming as long as your 12v adapter is close to your GP mount. It solved the battery problem but then you need to pay attention to your memory and that you're aware of when it's nearing exhaust so you can put another SD card in! I got GREAT video of all the typical rides out there, great for memories and to share with those who've never been!

    Firstly, condolences to one of our fallen. Secondly, ride along enough and we will all miss a shift here and there and the one that really hurts is when we drop our rides. Two types of riders...the rider who’s has dropped their bike and the other rider who will...just give it some time. Kick stands not engaging or hit an oil slick backing up...poop happens.

    Just recieved my fueling vented dip stick. Gotta wait another 3 months to ride up north. Ordered it in hopes of being proactive in preventing any issues. As far as seats go I tried a mustang extended reach but was still too cramped once I put the back rest on. Changed to a LePera daddy long legs. By far the most room I've ever had on a bike. I'm 6'4 and stretched out with that seat. The best imo.

    • @ProfessionalMonkey
      @ProfessionalMonkey  Před 3 lety

      How is the seat though? The LePera's have any padding???

    • @ironsteed5766
      @ironsteed5766 Před 3 lety +1

      @@ProfessionalMonkey the seat I got is called the daddy long legs "tall" model. It has a thicker cushion than the regular daddy long legs. I find it no better or worse than the mustang as far as cushion. Just sits me back much further. It's my 3rd seat I've tried and after a few hours of riding my tail bone hurts regardless. It probably is just me but I never can sit to long on anything.
