The most effective way to change spray distance is to change the nozzle. going to a smaller nozzle will also reduce the amount of water being put out. you can also do a little fine tuning using the nozzle retaining screw. If you need to change the distance a lot you may want to consider using a rainbird 3500 in that spot.
