ACER ASPIRE 5532 take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE 5532 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-staptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!
    regazzz
    P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
    each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
    Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

    Using this video as a guide I was able to tear up my laptop and clean the fan. It randomly shut down twice and the fan was on full blast all the time. Now it isn't even blowing all the time :) Keyboard wasn't working after first try, but I just screwed up with the connector. Fiddling with the thing again did the trick. Thanks!

    When my PC was new, I returned it for a prob with the card slot, so I think they probably changed the main board. After that, the camera was intermittent, but it would usually come on if I tapped above the keyboard, so I suspected a wire off or connector not in. It started to fail more and more often, till it eventually went solid, and I decided to open it. Thanks so much for this video. I would never have got it apart otherwise.
    You're my saviour!

    it may be the time to clean up... you know, it is all completely up to you! If your laptop is getting very hot (you can check temperature) and you sure you are able to do that and you will fix everything and will survive if something will go wrong, and you may order some parts (and now where, how etc) then why not...

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  Před 12 lety

    did you got a picture I send you via messenger? :) Keyboard cable connecting to a motherboard with some clip, yes, sometimes this kind of clips are holding cables very strong, sometimes you don't even have to open, just pulling out the cable parallel to a motherboard, not up. You may find some clips (if you crack it) in internet, but I guess you can also fix it with some piece of tape or something, clip will be better, depends whats broken off course...

    I swear for the life of me the clamp for the keyboard will not allow me to remove it. And I don't want to break it because if it breaks, that's it for this laptop, man. Do you have any idea how to remove it? I tried tweezers and all that. Still nothing.

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  Před 8 lety

      Morning! Removing a keyboard is an easiest process. There are no screws holding it. Only about 4 hooks. The only problem can be if there either something was spilled and now it is sticky or maybe someone glued for some reason.
      What I can suggest to try is to heat up a keyboard a little bit with let's say fan. Not too hot, just a little bit. :)
      The process is pretty much the same as for example in Acer 5534 and here I have a video only for keyboard czcams.com/video/WsAS5cHdx0o/video.html

      Thanks man I'll look into it. I finally disassembled some parts just to get to the LCD hinges(screws loose). I never accessed the motherboard itself. I just completely removed the LCD itself. Now it won't turn on. Fans won't spin either and just the lights come on. I am assuming my mother board is now dead. Or CMOS battery is loose(doesn't sound like it) or I may or may not have crimped the LCD wire. But since the fans aren't spinning the motherboard is the most likely issue isn't it?
