- Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE 5532 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-staptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
Have fun and good luck!!

P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

Using this video as a guide I was able to tear up my laptop and clean the fan. It randomly shut down twice and the fan was on full blast all the time. Now it isn't even blowing all the time :) Keyboard wasn't working after first try, but I just screwed up with the connector. Fiddling with the thing again did the trick. Thanks!
When my PC was new, I returned it for a prob with the card slot, so I think they probably changed the main board. After that, the camera was intermittent, but it would usually come on if I tapped above the keyboard, so I suspected a wire off or connector not in. It started to fail more and more often, till it eventually went solid, and I decided to open it. Thanks so much for this video. I would never have got it apart otherwise.
You're my saviour!
Yes, this to cords are there ... on the video I am unplug them and then take the lcd out. What exactly do you wanna see? Sorry!
I just used your video to take my aspire 5532 apart so I could replace the usb connectors. All back together now and working. Thanks a bunch..
Awesome video. No BS. This guys is efficient as hell.
Cory Raugutt Totally agree!
full disassemble videos are pretty much good for every type of work :)
Very helpful. needed to replace the body, so not a full reassembly, but near enough. great help!
it may be the time to clean up... you know, it is all completely up to you! If your laptop is getting very hot (you can check temperature) and you sure you are able to do that and you will fix everything and will survive if something will go wrong, and you may order some parts (and now where, how etc) then why not...
Thank you for the video - I take laptops apart on a regular basis but each one is different - this was very helpful
You are very welcome!
Thanks. opening this laptop was a pain in my ass
gracias hermano, me va a servir mucho tu video
You are welcome! Have a good luck!
Oh, if you took this panel off than taking a keyboard will be a breeze. There are no screws holding it. Just unplug it from motherboard.
Hope it will help you!
Hello! Very good. Thanks
otimo tutorial!!! parabéns!!!!
Now that's a very thorough diassembly job there! Did you manage to put it back together after this video?
+Ken Gevon that's the way I did it before. But at some point I started to put them back together as well.

all this cords, all 3 are visible at about 4.40.
Have a good luck with your project!!!
Yep, it is probably a time to clean it :) 53 is pretty high for idle.
10/10 got my spare parts from my 8year old laptop :D
You are very welcome!
I meant like the 2 cords you fished out. There's one coming from the right side of the monitor and another from the left.
Thanks for posting this video. It helped a ton :-)
You are welcome!
In order to get to a CMOS you have to flip motherboard, first visible at 7.45 on this video
Nice video
I did this for fun and now I have to put it all together it's very old so why not
Thans man
try to watch how it was before, maybe it will help, because I am not putting laptops back together ... sorry
Usually very dim is bad LCD. But in situation that everything was working before it can be some connector problem, but anyway more likely LCD. Can I ask why you was taking screen 2 times apart?
Great video! What size bit do you use to take the screws out it seems all the ones I have are too big and just strip the screw. Also is that a magnet on the end of the drill? Thanks for the great video nice work.
Paul Rhodes it is some thin bits. Hard to find. Don't have original packing anymore. Sorry.

+PrairieRockz thank you
buen trabajo!!
Ok, thank you very much!
Fácil não é. Mas o tutorial é bem completo.
No es fácil. Pero el tutorial es bastante completo.
It's not easy. But the tutorial is quite complete.
There is no assembling video, but you always can scroll video back and look how it was before...
Have a good luck!
Laptops are pretty tight, not like regular computers, so, yes it is hard to access all that stuff :)
Thaks a lot! Really appreciate it!
Thanks for your video, what power screwdriver are you using in this video ?
make video of it :)
You maybe don't need to take LCD off, and definitely don't have to take LCD apart :)
Oh no! Don't be sorry for anything! Haha, I just wanna know like where they plug into cause I'm trying to reassemble my laptop and that's kinda the one thing I can't figure out
video cable is visible ... after I taking part of a palmrest you can see it on the left side
(palmrest is still there)
Goooooood!!!
very good!
Gpu is not removable, it located on motherboard but it is soldered/glued to a motherboard. Sorry.
I keep my laptop on a desk and sometimes i move it in parks, beach or other desks =). My desk is not very dusty, but the environment is dusty a lot! what do you recommend?
Thank you!!!
To replace a fan you will need to remove motherboard. Of course you will no need to take apart a screen. :)
did you got a picture I send you via messenger? :) Keyboard cable connecting to a motherboard with some clip, yes, sometimes this kind of clips are holding cables very strong, sometimes you don't even have to open, just pulling out the cable parallel to a motherboard, not up. You may find some clips (if you crack it) in internet, but I guess you can also fix it with some piece of tape or something, clip will be better, depends whats broken off course...
cool!
Do you have a certain anti static wristband and computer tool repair store online you would recommend thanks again.
Paul Rhodes Nope, I don't. I just purchased some cheap antistatic mat on newegg.
Gracias!!!
Great!
THANKS!!!
You skipped over the one part I needed. I need to know how the screen connects to the motherboard.
How many years have this laptop? I ask this because i see the dust into the heatsink and is a lot! My Aspire 5332 have 3 years and 9000 hours work... Is the time to clean up?
Help! I did this and resemble it and now my acer won't turn on..
I hope you purchased an anti static mat before you took this thing apart, buddy.
Where do those wires go that you pulled out when I go to assemble it again?
Unfortunately it is soldered.
at very begging I am removing a hard drive, and at about 3.56 I unplug video cable. There is no video card that can be disconnected.
It has integrated gpu, you can not take it ot like cpu.
Does it flickers on external monitor?
which part of those is the hard-drive and which is graphics card? my aspire 5532 currently has a black screen after a mate dropped and first thing iv been told to do to fix it is reseat the hard drive and graphics card
Where is the CMOS battery? I need to reset the CMOS of this laptop.
My laptop is about 53° in idle and when i surf the internet 61-62°... When i play... 88-90°
hey. would you be able to tell me if the dc power jack is soldered onto the motherboard or is there a cable that connects it to the motherboard.?
If you are afraid, then better consult a technician :)
put it back together bcz i dont know how to plug my laptop screenn in
what's the name of the apps or software to get my acer to sync files to my pc ? I got two of the exact same pc and the model is exactly the same but the other 1 don't sync it will charge the phone or tablet but it won't sync ?
it is possible to remove the Video card and put it on other computer like desktop?
PLS ANSWER!!!
I have this exact model.. When I go to turn it on the power light comes on and disc drive makes noise but then nothing else will boot up (no fan, hard drive, or anything on the screen) any suggestions as to what the problem might be? And/Or cost to getting it fixed at a computer shop? Any help would be much appreciated!!
It is a problem with POST
Or 6our bios
hi do you find the problem
could anyone help me. When i turn my laptop on it starts flicking and now it seems like i have half a screen, How would i fix this problem ?
do i have to seriously do all this to clean my fan? If so ill rather watch my laptop burn
aque cable te refieres??
my laptop's screen doesn't turn on, i tested an external monitor, it didn't work either, only the fans are spinning, but nothing else happens, any suggestions?
me too, did you find the problem ?
Your cpu might not be seated and locked in properly, make sure the black pin is turned where it will lock in the cpu
I swear for the life of me the clamp for the keyboard will not allow me to remove it. And I don't want to break it because if it breaks, that's it for this laptop, man. Do you have any idea how to remove it? I tried tweezers and all that. Still nothing.
Morning! Removing a keyboard is an easiest process. There are no screws holding it. Only about 4 hooks. The only problem can be if there either something was spilled and now it is sticky or maybe someone glued for some reason.
What I can suggest to try is to heat up a keyboard a little bit with let's say fan. Not too hot, just a little bit. :)
The process is pretty much the same as for example in Acer 5534 and here I have a video only for keyboard czcams.com/video/WsAS5cHdx0o/video.html

Thanks man I'll look into it. I finally disassembled some parts just to get to the LCD hinges(screws loose). I never accessed the motherboard itself. I just completely removed the LCD itself. Now it won't turn on. Fans won't spin either and just the lights come on. I am assuming my mother board is now dead. Or CMOS battery is loose(doesn't sound like it) or I may or may not have crimped the LCD wire. But since the fans aren't spinning the motherboard is the most likely issue isn't it?

my fans broken and I'm really afraid of taking it completely apart D:
The Screen is black. The laptop comes on but no image on the screen. Someone told me too flash the Bios. Can i just reset the Bios by taking the CMOS battery out and putting it back in?
Yes. Reseat the BIOS.
how do i do that?
+Jermaine Serrano
I'm sorry I meant the CMOS battery.
Este modelo no lleva piña interna??
Google translate saying you are searching for a pineapple?
Preguntaba si este modelo de lap top, lleva en su interior pila de botón
You know, some laptops are like from laboratory... very old and very clean :) Some are barely half year and there is so much cat hair or God knows what other hairs :)))) Some kind of biohazard pos.
does anyone know wether taking this apart will break the laptop and render it useless, i need to replace the USB ports on mine but dont want to break it, (i.e: taking the wires off the slots) anyone know?
do yourself a favor, and get rid of this laptop. It is horribly slow, even back when I got mine in 2009 it was slow as hell.
+Orbiify I completely agree. Its useless no matter what you do for it. I installed windows ten on it a couple days ago and it still runs like I got it 50 years ago while my Dell Inspiron 1545 is 7 years old and runs like I got it yesterday running windows 7.
Yeah, gotta spend at-least 500$ to get a 'good' laptop. I bought the lenovo y700, super good.

You are welcome!
