You should always separate or pop locs every time you wash regardless if you retwist or not, otherwise they will marry and separation will be painful. I do it under running water at the end of my weekly washes. I retwist every 4 months. #locnation

Oh my goodness my scalp hurts at times around the crown and the front part of the head I sometimes take pain meds to alleviate the pain, I could never understand why it would hurt, wow and it could be because of protein thanks for the information next time I will try a protein treatment...

Palm roll regularly and keep out the lint!! All of my chunky parts were related to lint buildup
What protien product do you use because I've been loc'd 13 months now and my scalp Is in pain I can't do any styles because of it and my scalp i every itchy constantly

I had to cut my locs, kept getting scalp sores from all the retwisting. My loc journey was very uncomfortable and painful at times. I still deal with scalp issues now even tho my hair is cut short but its nowhere near as bad.
