Are re-twist painful? I’m starting my loc journey and this is one of my fears😳
I was told after a while you can't twist to tighten.u use a tool to continue the locs..or does that only apply to micro or mini locs?
I've never heard this before. Sisterlocs do require interlocking with the crochet tool
I may use this method. My hair is long enough now. Do you let it air dry in the ponytail or do you sit under a dryer?
I let it air dry. It only takes about an hr to dry completely

Genetics 🧬 May play a big part, also what your taking in internally (food, water 💦 etc)..
She started with longer hair. It all depends on how long your hair is when you start.
MEE TOO. I started not too long after her with a little shorter length and mine is only now barely touching my shoulders! She de got some great genes!

Great video, so for someone who is just starting their loc journey how often should you retwist the roots? I started my 2 strand twist on June 12 and I want to know when I should refresh my roots.
I'm a year in but I retwisted every 6 weeks in the beginning. You don't want to do it too often as it causes tension and can weaken the roots. Fb has several loc groups that discuss tips on how to grow and maintain healthy locs. It has been very informative thus far.
