I just purchased a Yamaha AES1500 guitar from Rich and I could not be any happier with it. It will serve me fine as a versatile Jazz guitar and it really looks great in the sunburst finish. "A Jazz player plays a 1,000 chords in front of three people!" reminds me of when I went to see George Benson back in the early 70's. He had Earl Klugh on guitar, a bass player and a drummer. I sat in the room with two couples; 5 of us watching 4 musicians. But, they played! Boy, did they play!

I do like the John Pisano 880 you reviewed recently. I've yet to hear a bad sounding Eastman you've reviewed and played. Def got my interest up and eyes peeled on them
Love your playing, Rich! I'm jonesing for an Eastman myself. But I have to sell my Godin LGX-SA to get one. Fifteen inches sounds so comfortable as well.
I have been begging Eastman to offer this guitar with dot inlays and 1 or 2 Lollar suspended pickups to compete with the Ibanez GB10. And I wish they would offsr it in natural, wine, reddish sunburst and ice tea burst.

I love that Mahogany-Spruce combination. I find Mahogany to be a fairly underrated tone wood. Sounds great. And the guitar is very pretty as well.

Just save for one you can't have too many guitars
I prefe r the mini floating pickup with hidden controls in the pickguard but love the small body size :)

My 1994 emperor regent , gold plated turned greenish color, I prefer less adorment inlays clean fingeboard , tailpiece ebony less
