Listening again, I was just amazed at How Many Different Sounds Bára can extract from her double bass...and without the use of artificial effects or pedals.
At times she bows the strings to resonate to produce the ancient sound of a didgeridoo. Then sometimes I hear the calls of the great humpback or blue whales. Other times, she makes it spike and flutter as if it's a flute! Just jaw-dropping talent...by both. Bravo!
Thank you once again KEXP for capturing and sharing this with the world.

This was a bit reminiscent to me of Sigur Rós' Ágætis Byrjun album, which for the most part, is a very good thing.
The following comment may come off as more morbid or depressing than rejoiceful, but...
While listening, I imagined these pieces to be the complete soundtrack to the entire creation, evolution, and destruction of all life as we know it, and of our (amazing) universe. I was taken on a (roller-coaster) journey through time, from deep sorrow, to utter joy...and everything in between...like watching (or listening) to time itself, unfold.
I haven't been touched by a piece of music like this for a very long time, maybe since Henryk Górecki's Symphony No. 3 (London Sinfonietta, soprano Dawn Upshaw, conductor David Zinman).
Thank you to the musicians, modern technology, and to KEXP for capturing it expertly.

Wow. Is he using software to produce those sounds from the bass?

Judging from what I saw I'd say no, it appears that he's using effect pedals and a looper to do it.
