Where's the oscilloscope?
In the modular, because it's all MIDI ; - )
The fact this can record MPE data makes this a must have for me.
I can't wait to get my hands on one. This looks like everything I've been wanting in a sequencer. 😍
Wow, this looks amazing. Can't wait to see demos and reviews, looks perfect.
This looks incredible! So many interesting possibilities and some really unique and compelling tools. It's incredible to see this kind of innovation in musical devices, so kudos to your team on building something both unique and RAD!
I was about to get a Pyramid and pair it with my Force for more standalone MIDI magic, but this looks like it could fit my workflow even better. Looking forward to Loopop’s review.
So were we. The pyramid looks great but this is 'the shit' so to speak.
RIP to those of us who watched the 24 hour teaser livestream 😂
Looks amazing to start! Just ordered one.
"What do you mean less is more? MORE is more" - Yngwie Malmsteen
Ordered mine today--- I'm geeked!
Squarp Pyramid is my favourite sequencer, can't wait to try Hapax, MPE is a very welcome feature!
Looks awesome!
It looks to be a new reference in top range sequencers ..amazing !
I'm immediately in love 🖤
Squarp just keeps on cranking out the cool ideas
Alright, 20 seconds in and I am sold. This looks dope. Oh, also 20 seconds in and I realize: that's the whole video..
Still cool
Wow, 2 projects in one unit and being able to load one while the other is playing....omg, it's like having 2 turntables. Am i right Squarp? 🤑
So, does that mean: Load any two projects out of a maximum of X stored on the memory card?
@@VJFranzK U can load one project from SD card while the other one is playing. No need to stop. The manual is online.
Ooo interesting! I love the music that played it the video!
This looks awesome! But please please don't abandon the Pyramid ❤️
Well, I hope too but they said that there's no more place onboard to add new features. I guess all you'll get is bug fixes. But sincerely the Pyramid is already extremely mature. I don't think it needs more.
And also I don't think this is an upgrade of the Pyramid. It has quite a different set of features in term of workflow.
this...
The pyramid rocks, just the SEQ mode could use some workflow improvements
Love my Pyramid, altough I would really really love step input on it. But that kinda goes against the philosophy, I gues..
The ONLY thing I wished the pyramid did was to keep playing when you load a pre saved project. My old Novation Circuit and Elektron Model:Cycles both were able to do this, and it just massively lends itself to a 'single set' style live performance as opposed to performing individual tunes.
Wow, seems bonkers. Overkill for me, but in the right hands we will see some really cool work. Being able to mix between projects is huge.
beautiful
excited to see how it implements MPE!
Now that's dope!
Bravo!
very exciting! Hopefully I don't get tempted too soon as my pyramid is perfect for what I need at the moment for Live work and "something else" will mean me having to rebuild my dream flightcase. For now I'm going to pretend I didn't see this, but ohhhhhh that looks like a beauty!!! PS, you still going to be supporting/updating pyramid?
Very good format. Will have to RTFM before any judgement.
This looks amazing. Please do a Collab with Noise Engineering for a full on groovebox like this!
I like the way you think
This really does look great. Very tempted.
interesting, but although it's different - the Deluge has some similar features , a similar price, and also includes a synth engine, sampler, live looper.......
Why must all the cool stuff be out of my reach. So sick looking!
Must have!
Welcome, Hapax ☀
Wow!
This looks freaking cool ! I love deluge and this might be a fun side seq
Bought. Yes. This will be so fun hahah
I’m Interested to see how it measures up to the Deluge
@@bigdaddycrab9004 I'm not an either or kind of guy but I'll try to make some good videos comparing, maybe
@@RonCavagnaro the one piece I can see myself saying, "Wish my Deluge had that feature" is the screen. Deluge screen doesn't really bother me, but it would be nice to have this style on it. It might also be the first time I felt like Deluge needed something that another synth offers.
@@RyanReznor I don't need the screen I'm not sure why people want it so bad. That being said the CPU is for the important parts I'm sure a screen would require more CPU to keep up. Unsure. But I would buy it if they make a deluge with a screen. Just currently don't care, I use external gear .
Wow! :D
Okay…very interesting, yes? Very intrigued…
It looks interesting. Are there going to be some videos of musicians creating with and using it?
Wow
I like the design ... would be nice to hear something about the handling (workflow)
looks like just about everything i need in a sequencer, but WHY only 8 patterns per track??! I mean, yeah 8 patterns can be enough sometimes, but sometimes you want way more (particularly with drum patterns). It has external storage via SD, so why the limitation? I really hope this is increased with future updates
Just need to see it being used then im in.
Essential...
This is how you make a teaser right here
Miam Miam ;-)
That looks amazing, If it's not a secret, can you say what the grayscale OLED displays are (just the driver IC is fine)
🙌 bigger brother of Squarp pyramid ?
Ill be getting this instead of a deluge now
Wow fantastic. What is the difference with synthstrom deluge? Is it only midi sequencer? Could be connected to an iPad to control iOS synths via AUM?
The dual project concept is fantastic. How can the two projects interact with each other? Can you only transition between the two instantly or is it possible to “fade“ between the two projects almost like a DJ.
you can transition by having both projects playing at the same time (they designed the machine to do this), then muting and unmuting each layer at a time for interesting "in between" songs.
Wonderful! Would love to know more. I have a deluge so the upgrade needs to be reasoned somehow ;)
I don't see the need to exchange this with Deluge.
Deluge has sound and this is an unbreakable deal.
I would be more interested to use them together ;)
I just bought one they should work together quite well don't you think:)
@@RonCavagnaro Thank you for all the deluge videos ;)
@@IsraelFerrerCamacho more coming ;)
@@RonCavagnaro I would have questioned reality if you weren't one of the first to own one of these. As soon as you et it, do a video please..... So then I can buy one and know how to use it.
Add a sampler, a synth engine, and a battery, and this is what the Deluge should have been
Really two rather different concepts. One is a specialized tool, the other an all-in-one box.
I think the USB A and B port labels are reversed in the diagram on your site, btw.
Two projects ❤
When is it shipping? Ordered but no idea if it is even in production as no YT reviews yet.
Challenged the net only manual but was relieved to get this response from Squarp;
"A printed manual is included in the box.
The full manual is only available online at the moment, but will be available as a PDF soon."
Would love to see comparisons with the Pyramid on this. Love the Pyramid, but wonder if this would be better...?
If Loopop hasn't reviewed it does it really exist?
Jokes aside, looking forward to demos. I haven't seen a new sequencer with this many buttons in a few years.
Wow. This looks very much like a Deluge on steroids!
are those mini jacks for eurorack. please god say yes...
Looks a bit like a DeLuge…❤️✌️
when does it get a HDMI output for a screen ?
Holy shit....also wondering how Mpe works with this
oh-oh
It's sold out!
I don’t need this, I have a cirklon, but still cool!
bruh i just bought a novation circuit rhythm i bet this gonna be 3 bands too
Sploosh.

So curious about the Song Mode (the previous SEQ mode) .
* + just an addition :
No SAMPLER? Deal Breaker sorry ....
I don't pretend any synth engine in there, but nowadays a fair sampler is necessary to can compete on the market.
I stick on my staff...
Thank you!
Looks lovely"
Yeah, I had problems with SEQ mode. I hope Song mode is more user friendly.
@@joemcginty7 This is why I sold it for Deluge, which has a premium song mode, the arranger view which is amazing in Deluge and superior to the one in Pyramid, muuuuch superior.
Just dug through the manual. Coming form the deluge, it would be hard to go backwards to program step melodies. Its something very intuitive when you hit a note, hear the sound, place that step(note) while holding it then selecting another step in the same row to set the length. Its perfect. When I have to hit a step then turn a knob to select the note (lets say C5) then turn anothe rknob to set its length, I check out. I understand this is your typical step sequencing workflow...then the deluge was created and all of that went out of the window and I work more efficiently. Cant wait for a step sequencer that implements the same workflow when programming steps. The Oxi One looks the same too. When you can create a 1 bar chord by holding 3 steps and then pressing 3 other steps in those same rows, any other way feels slow. I could be wrong, it is a squarp manual and I've had my run with the Hermod and that manual.
To get it straight: did you mean that the OXI has a similar workflow to the Deluge or the Hapax?
@@RetningNord First off, dont own either, just the Deluge. Looked at the manual for the Hapax and watched a few videos of the Oxi One, loopops in particular that shows the oxi has a similar workflow to the deluge, I mean when entering notes and note lengths. I didnt get a full understanding of the Oxi and what actual note you enter into the step. The deluges notes are laid out vertically so turning a knob allows you to scroll through every note where a lot of other sequencers have to select a step and turn a knob to select which note you want that step to be. Thats less intuitive for me since I'd rather have a single row represent a note on a pad matrix. Hope that makes sense.
Anyone know where a comparison of features vs. Pyramid can be found? Mostly, I am curious what my Pyramid does that this cannot since it's clear that this has capabilities the Pyramid doesn't.
I think the Pyramid has more patterns per song, while this is limited to 8. That's enough for me, and this also has the ability to load in two songs at once and transition between them. I'm so excited.
Looks amazing! And contrary to what I thought it's quite different from Pyramid, which seems to give more freedom and is way more generous of some aspects ("infinite" length for patterns, etc.).
If I could get that "infinite" patterns length on the Hapax, then I think I would switch to it. For now I'm just extremely tempted :D
same here, very interested but they lost me at 32bar track length, that's a real shame!
does load midi files?
I didn't know that the Digitakt and the Circuit had a son.
Needs a workflow video to be sure of a sell TBH.
does this thing sample?
This is MIDI only?
Will the Hapax read my Pyramid files?
Deluge?
innit
Oh no ....not the big pyramid squarp
Where’s the X?
track id anyone?
I think I still prefer the Pyramid
Un-wow! Holy un-new! How about a device that has the brains to listen and make melodic, harmonic and percussion suggestions? There are SO many existing devices out there doing what this device offers.
The device that listens and makes melodic, harmonic and percussion suggestions is your BRAIN.
@@XanderEwald I agree. Or another member of the band. Or a daw plugin. Or running random whatever through a particular scale / key.
And I thought the Oxi One was the ultimate sequencer… 🤔
It still is for me.

what is MPE?
With today's dirt-cheap super-high-resolution LCD and OLED displays, why do synth manufacturers insist on continuing to produce products with these dismal 1980's-era 320x200 displays, and then try to cram tiny text into them that show up as awful, illegible blocky characters?
Style, baby, style.
It looks better.
Let me introduce you to the deluge 😂
Nah
Go fix the Garbage Hermod first then create new things. 4 Years, 500$ later and still nothing. What a Waste.
