Garou is a martial arts prodigy, the self-proclaimed "Hero Hunter," and a major adversary of the Hero Association and Monster Association. He is a disciple of Bang and was once expelled from his dojo for going on a rampage. Because of his fascination with monsters, he is commonly called the "Human Monster". The Hero Association views him as a grave threat to the organization despite being only a human. After the Monster Association incident, Garou is currently being rehabilitated under Bang, who has retired from being a hero and is intending for Garou to fill the hole he has left. Sick of being a helpless kid throughout his childhood, he became determined to be stronger. Because of this, he decided to venture to Bang's dojo during his adolescence, traveling very far to meet the martial artist. When he arrived at the dojo, he rudely demanded to know if Bang was strong. Sour Face chimed in and asked who the arrogant child is when Garou passed out from the exhaustion of venturing to the dojo. Sour Face asked Bang if he should throw Garou out, but the hero was impressed by Garou's determination, telling Sour Face to feed him until he was full when he woke up. After this, Bang accepted Garou as a student, and Garou quickly became the top student in Bang's dojo. After watching Sour Face make a fool of himself while smashing ceramic tiles as a training exercise, Garou out performs his sempai by smashing all but one of which after adding extra tiles to the already considerable tower of which. Bang voices his amazement but sites he missed one at the very bottom. Garou realized he still had a long ways left to go before honing his technique. Also a main antagonist of the anime and manga One Punch Man. A manga full of characters with heroes like Saitama Genos Tatsumaki Bang and the S Class Heroes. After the release of Spider-Man 2 and trying to come up with a way to bring back OPM onto the channel, I decided to make a little scenario and talk about both in one video, which happens to be Could Garou Hunt Spider-Man? I will be placing Human Garou in the insomniac verse to see if he could run the gauntlet and become the true strongest. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, and features a narrative inspired by its long-running comic book mythology which is also derived from various adaptations in other media. It is the third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, acting as a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and a follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). In this installment, Peter Parker and Miles Morales struggle to navigate the next steps in their personal lives while combating several new threats, including a private militia led by Kraven the Hunter, who transforms New York City into a hunting ground for super-powered individuals; and the extraterrestrial Venom symbiote, which bonds itself to Parker and negatively influences him, threatening to destroy his personal relationships. The gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple playstyles afforded by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men. The game expands on their existing traversal and combat abilities, including new web-based gadgets and suits that can be unlocked through progressing in the story. It also introduces the former Spider-Man's symbiote suit, granting Parker unique abilities from his previous playable appearance. Okay, yeah, the second you pulled up the calcs for Genos destroying a portion of a mountain, I immediately knew this win was going to Garou low diff. He easily scales to a Genos who is superior to his past self who performed that feat, so this means that neither Peter nor Miles have enough AP to physically harm Garou.
Speed is no different either. The two Spider-Men cap out in the Massively Hypersonic+ speed meta, while Garou is easily Lightspeed to FTL via scaling to Season 2 Genos.
And of course, all of this is in regards to a physically weakened Garou, mind you. If he were to be in peak condition, it would be EVEN WORSE for Insomniac's two web-slingers.
So yeah, Garou one-shots and speed-blitzes.

Because Massively Hypersonic+ for 616 is a lowball ngl, at least Relativistic without Spider-Sense (which is ridiculously OP depending on the story’s version of it). Of course there’s a huge gap between Light Speed and Relativistic, but with Spider-Sense, Spidey HAS reacted to FTL attacks/characters and fought them (though most likely a similar situation to Pre-Initiative from Kengan Ashura). I can go on to elaborate the range of abilities Spider-Sense has, but I won’t waste time.
Spidey is still City Block level consistently, which is WAY below Garou’s AP, but for some reason, he’s able to stagger (not hurt) the likes of a calm Hulk, Angrir Thing, etc, and has even knocked out a weaker (Norman Osborn) Carnage; these may come across as outliers, but keep in mind that they are VERY frequent feats to the point where they’re somewhat consistent, but it’s important to note that in these instances, Spidey is EXTREMELY desperate and quite literally fighting for his life, which can be attributed to the phenomenon of ‘hysterical strength’, or a massive influx of adrenaline that he’s somehow able to tap into whenever he’s cornered (this is a theory though, so take it with a grain of salt).
Garou STILL has a VERY notable hand-to-hand advantage, but if he makes Kanoh Agito’s mistake of trying to use Spidey’s martial art against him, he may end up falling back on his other martial arts given that Way of the Spider is specifically tailored to Peter’s unique abilities to be used as a substitute for Spider-Sense, but can use Spider-Sense ALONGSIDE it, making it much more potent. It’s like a taller person trying to use the Peek-a-Boo boxing style against Mike Tyson.
And given Garou’s stamina and determination, I think it’ll be a lot like his fight with Morlun, minus the life-draining touch and more martial arts; but it hardly matters if Garou literally evolves on the spot if Spidey somehow pushes him in a corner.
Base Garou and 616 Spidey would be a good fight, much closer than Insomniac’s, but the second Garou evolves, it’s a wrap.
Spidey is just gonna hold back again, and probably pretends to get hit by garou even though he has Spidey sense, and Spidey dodges every attack of electro Woth or without Spidey sense
@@aintlying9428 Dodging electricty only puts Spider-Man at MHS+, which I directly said in my comment. That's nowhere near fast enough to contend with a physically weakened Garou, who Tylearned just said is comparable to Season 2 Genos, who is superior to his Season 1 self that dodged light beams.
Also, I feel like you're using the "Spidey holds back" argument as a no limits fallacy, which doesn't hold up to scrutiny in this case.

Honestly yeah. The most like edgy debater-man that I could would be mentioning the city level scaling for peak Peter, “debating” the skill gap, and maybe pointing out Peter’s underrated endurance. Also thumbnail goes hard 😮💨.
The city level scaling really just relies on kraven’s statement of the box he trapped Peter in being considered “unbreakable”, which is obviously either just mostly unquantifiably strong or able to withstand any weapon on earth including nukes making it considered essentially “unbreakable” by whoever created it. I’ve heard people say that kraven/whoever built the box for kraven would have no reason to build the box with nuclear bomb level attacks in mind, but I mean it’s a strange world they live in. It’s a world full of superheroes with wacky powers, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they would build it with the measurable basis of the most powerful nukes on earth. Also the only other time we see a box that looks anything like it is the box that sandman was kept in after being defeated. Sandman’s massive sandstorms were stated as a city wide threat even prior to him getting buffed by extra sand. So if you want some kind of consistency for this nuke based city level box scaling, sandman was trapped in a near identical box and he generated city wide threatening sand storms, so symbiote Peter busting out of it would make him city level. At the very least the box would be strong enough to trap miles’ town level attacks, because if not then what were they even thinking about when they called it unbreakable.
Honestly I think Peter and miles by the start of the game were already above that town level scaling. It’s been a year, so obviously miles and peter are stronger than when we saw them last like you’ve mentioned in one of your videos before, and miles and peter both suspect that absorbing the lightning bolts from sandman’s sand storm might be reach miles’ limit (which can reasonably be assumed to be greater than miles’ limit in his game which was obviously the explosion he absorbed). Miles absorbs the lightning bolts anyway, and Peter’s robot legs absorb all the energy miles just absorbed, so both miles and base Peter would already be above that town level feat from miles’ game. I can’t rationally believe that the directors wanted Peter’s robot legs to be significantly more durable than his physical body if at all either, but that’s more subjective.
Then symbiote Peter fights evolved venom miles, and it’s honestly pretty blatant that Peter is significantly stronger. Round 1 of the fight shows miles and Peter try this rasengan vs chidori ahh clash, to which Peter kinda just farts on him, choke slams him on the ground and then they both wrestle their free arms before miles gets away. Then by round 2 miles has been spamming the bell and has begun talking sense into Peter causing series internal struggle as shown by Peter agreeing with miles before lashing out for round 3. Round 2 literally mirrored the round 1 almost exactly (nearly shot for shot at times. Smack, slam, choke, arm wrestle, then break up) but with miles getting the upper hand mainly from Peter’s internal struggle. Then round 3 just has miles literally spam the bell again like 3 times back to back until the symbiote is weakened enough for Peter to rip the suit off himself. Symbiote Peter > evolved venom miles.
They both then narratively reach their peak at the next Mr. Negative mission as miles gets to his strongest after letting go of whatever spite was still left inside of him for Mr. Negative after their fight as he says, and Peter similarly literally has the worst of his insecurities purged from his body. Both get an unquantifiable buff, so once again anti-venom Peter > peak evolved venom miles.
They fight venom and like mentioned this channel before, miles did perform very well against venom compared to Peter with them both barely surviving 2 rounds back to back, but this definitely would have been easier to scale if Peter weren’t literally fighting his dying best friend who he feels immense guilt towards and is scared of killing. Not to say that her suddenly win if not for that, but still. Peter does fight venom total for longer than miles though, and overall did perform better. He had open shots at Harry’s face multiple times and prioritized talked to him. He did seemingly get the upper hand in venom a few times, but part of that can definitely be attributed to Harry around the end having some inter struggle himself, and Peter having literally anti venom. It’s been mentioned on this channel that miles also likely had so symbiote countering properties with his abilities, but likely to a less extent. Overall outside of the impressive showing at the end (and even then I still think Peter overall did a bit better), anti venom Peter was over peak miles, black suit Peter was over evolved venom miles, base Peter was arguably closer to start of game miles than he’s given credit for, and all of these characters being above a younger miles from his own game who had the original town level feat. So I don’t think a growth so significant potentially being city level especially based off of the kraven statement and sandman statement is too unlikely. Anti-venom Peter could be city level and miles despite not really having any concrete scaling to this box feat should still be fairly close as he still fought peter and miles even though he either lost or situationally won due to being weaker.
And for skill, kraven’s goons are hyped up as hand selected hunters who are the best fighters around the world or something, and like even crisis has said in one of his videos, mj beating them might not even be a crazy anti feat for them as even the game director points out that he doesn’t care if she was made too op. Kinda dumb, but whatever. I mean the gun she has was somehow capable of taking out symbiotes and even symbiote behemoth 💀, so I guess it’s just busted. The fodder hunters are clearly portrayed as weaker than characters like silver sable and taskmaster, who are both described as expert fighters. So taskmaster with his photo-reflexive abilities that let him adapt to and copy any fighting style he sees is also described as an expert fighter even among the best around the world. Taskmaster even says that he’s taken on the avengers, and even though this doesn’t mean he could beat hulk or Thor, it pretty clearly means he’s on the level combat skill of even characters like insomniacs offscreen Hawkeye, black widow, Captain America, etc etc. they’re featless, but still, he’s a an expert among the best in the world and a younger and weaker Spider-Man beat him.
Peter’s endurance is also underrated too. He had 14 broken bones, was poisoned by the scorpion twice, defeated 5 of the sinister six, got battered again by doc oc to the point of being hospitalized and barely being able to walk, and then still defeated doc oc. It’s even crazier now as with the black suit on, he had a tech’ed out metal knife in his body and couldn’t even feel it until the suit spat it out. The suit’s regen powers would obviously also significantly extend how long he’s able to fight.
Peter and miles are way too slow for now though. That’s the main issue for me honestly, because I can’t really fairly debate the fact that they’re just faster than lightning. A weaker base Peter does repeatedly dodge electro’s lightning blasts while nerfed, so a better base Peter and of course symbiote Peter should be even faster, and miles despite not having feats of dodging lightning is on par if not debatably above base Peter, who’s better than he was before. Miles also fights and reacts to black suit Peter, admittedly while Peter was nerfed. I’d say Peter and miles especially now should be notably faster than peter from the first game who dodged lightning, especially while nerfed. Still not light speed though L. There are 2 of them though.
I’d say mid scale spider-men vs human garou would be exactly like this video said, and even the high end scaling I gave would still probably go to garou for now but would be closer mainly just because it’s a 2v1. W video, cool idea

I’ll stick with the spiderverse canon crossover for now instead lol. Maybe if something happens in the next movie we can use that. I also think the next time we see Peter in like Spider-Man 3 or something, he’ll have developed new symbiote abilities as he will have had it for like over a year probably (assuming he keeps the suit, which I hope). He could learn to heal other people which is a well known anti venom ability not shown yet, and maybe they could give Peter invisibility too since that’s something venom can do in the comics and rn pressing up on the d pad does nothing for Peter. He wouldn’t even need to be in antivenom mode all the time either, because we see in this game that going between regular suit and anti venom suit is something he can do at any time. He doesn’t even bother putting it on during across the spiderverse even though we know it takes place after Spiderman 2, so unless he loses it (it’s bonded to his cells), he just felt like chilling in base instead. It definitely feels like it could be more like a super saiyan type of deal potentially. My point here mainly is that there’s a lot of potential for Peter’s abilities, a lot of potential for miles’ abilities since he’s the main Spider-Man for rn, and both will get greater feats later in their next game or even potentially in the next movie. But the outerversal insomniac Peter comic crossover scaling is 💩
Just because Sandman can threaten a city with his attacks and Spider Man has more raw strength than him doesn’t make Spider Man city level lmao.
Sand Man has AOE attacks. Think about it like weapons, Sand Man is like a flamethrower and Soider Man is like a 50 caliber sniper rifle. The sniper rifle has “more power” in a direct hit, while a flamethrower is AOE

The whole sandman thing is more so supporting evidence to the unbreakable statement from kraven. The box statement potentially implies it could survive the strongest nuke known to man, that would scale to city level I’m pretty sure, sandman’s sand storm threatened the city, and he’s trapped in a nearly identical looking box. Based off the sandman statement alone, it doesn’t mean much because yeah, it can just be an aoe description. Granted, generating a sandstorm the size of the city would still obviously require a massive amount of energy. The only reason I’m claiming that sandman’s statement could be potentially be referring to more than just city level aoe is because of the city level scaling Peter’s box potentially has and the fact that sandman is kept in the same-looking box. So why wouldn’t sandman’s statement potentially also be referring to somewhat city level energy/potency from his sandstorms if it’s consistent with Peter’s box. It’s just supporting evidence is all.
I mean they have already been large town level from miles’ nuke feat from his game. Miles and base Peter at the start of Spider-Man 2 > younger miles from his game since it’s been a year since then already (I also pointed out why they would definitely be stronger in my first comment), and by the end of the game anti-venom Peter and peak evolved venom miles > base Peter and miles at the start of Spiderman 2. By the end of the game they’re much stronger than miles from his game, and small city level or something isn’t that wild of a jump from large town level anyway. It’s not a concrete scale but I think it’s a fair high end for now until the next game or movie

More like bad research. For starters dude is guessing how good superhuman martial arts experts in a different universe are. They are beyond what a real life expert is by miles in universe.
Secondly, it's a villain giving 200% effort vs a superhero that is never giving 100%. One is trying to do as little harm as possible and the other is trying to maximize the harm they do. You can't compare feats 1 to 1 without considering that type of stuff.

@@4Kslimy To be honest I really don't know because Garou is really ridiculously strong in his Cosmic form and he can copy anything as long as he understand the concept of the powers
but given that Spiderman in his Human form ( with radio active spider powers ) is superior in strength than Garou in his Human form so maybe Peter Parker given 100 times fold of his base strength with the powers of Captain Universe Peter is still superior given that powers can manipulate matter and energy and unfortunately that power can only be used in that specific original universe and cannot brought outside so Garou might either can copy and successfully overpowered Peter if he could survive those strikes he will get a chance but the power cannot be used in Garou's universe

I think Peter without the symbiote is nerfed due to stress from being spiderman he struggles pulling up 2 roller coasters even tho in the previous game he would casually hold and pull up an oil truck from train tracks so miles should only be stronger than a peter that's powers are weaker due to stress
Great video as always. I am a little skeptical of Genos fighting G4 and dodging " light beams" because the beams of light seem to bend and it isn't in a straight-lined fashion; to add to that, Genos at this time was fighting Speed o sound sonic which at the time his speed was around hypersonic - massively hypersonic + as a high end. And yes, there were times where Genos caught Sonic off guard, but Sonic had a slight combat speed advantage.
By the way, it should have also been mentioned that each time Garou gets a buff, it's by several times. Like the Garou that fought Dark shine would win easily win against the one that fought the 8 heroes.
I also noticed you had some showings of Garou that wasn't in season 2, like when he endured lightning from fighting Bug god/ Royal Ripper and getting attacked by Rover. This is still debated when Garou is still human, half human, or monster. Like is the time when he fought dark shine still considered human, still has some human traits but is progressively getting stronger and his eyes completely change or is he still human until he fully becomes Awakened Garou.
If human Garou is all the way up till post dark shine, then I feel like his instinctive reactions should've been included as it was kind of shown in his fight against the 8 heroes and when he blitzed PPP. I don't think it would matter, but also you forgot to mention Spidey senses which could potentially accommodate for the speed advantage Garou has.
Well that's the only excuse people who don't want to accept the feat use(not saying you're one of them though), in the manga the G4 robot literally called it "LASERS", if it is stated in the manga, why is it so hard to accept, people like arguing that the lasers bend like you said, the thing is if the author said those where lasers then no one literally has a right to argue with him, it's fiction after all
@@faithfulblase6731 Well the thing is in this case it would be a big deal which is because few people around this time were actually light speed like around season 1 & 2 really the only people, we know were light speed were Saitama and Boros (and also atomic and flashy but we didn't know much about them at the time.) Another thing that I mentioned is that Speed of sound sonic isn't light speed but was on par with Genos, and awakened cockroach said himself he was faster than light and Geno could barely perceive his movements.
I am confused with what you're talking about here in the last bit. Since when did all lasers equate to light speed. I have a laser pointer at home, and I could perceive it just fine. And not all beams of light travel at the speed of light; since characters have been able to dodge lightning, which is a literal beam of light, but of course it doesn't travel at light speed.
Anyways, just because the author says the lasers are light speed does not always mean it really does. Like in Baki, Itagaki (creator) says that Baki has light speed jabs which I would want Baki to have for scaling purposes, but it isn't consistent at all. And in invincible, Robert Kirkman (creator) said that Invincible would be able to beat Superman but Invincible himself doesn't have feats to be on par with supes. So yes, it is the creators' words, but they don't have showings of that character being actually be able to beat them.

@@jigosi8006 😓 genos while fighting awakened cockroach compared him to speed o sound Sonic and that was an upgraded genos, dude light and lightning are two different things, lightnins contain light and that is observed when you see it in the sky (it is instantaneous to our perception), while lasers are literally light (photons) there's literally no way around it, photons are the particles of light, just like atom makes up matter in the universe, photons or light has a constant speed (may differ slightly due to its medium of transmission), so please just stop the headcannons, also if you could perceive your laser(any type) that means you're light speed or FTL

Honestly Garou in gargoyle form is very strong for many marvel characters, excluding their strongest versions of course. If u take their movie versions, garou no diff them, even hulk and captain marvel stand zero chance against his planetary shockwave.

You don't need strongest versions, most of 616 even at normal levels, anyone in Class 100 or above might give that Garou a fight, the issue is it might take cosmic heroes to win. But this video is pointless given anyone who is aware of both franchises know the scaling in OPM is already OP from the start of the series
Where as the Spider-Man as characters in their franchise have a lot more growing and aren’t at absurdly high in scaling at least until they scale to characters who provide such scaling
For instance the wolverine game will showcase Login going against perhaps city level opponents
And will either be able to tank feats that would put his durability at a high end and his claws AP just as much so
Not to mention if any more speed feats come out and logon scales

Human Garou actually did some insane feats too. Matching Speed O Sonic is enough to put him far beyond Spider Man. Then there goes his fight with Metal Bat, where he scales as a human to punches equivalent of DCEU Superman.
Rock Crushing technique is enough to just kill Spider-Man, since he is more strong than he is durable - therefore, punches of equal force to the one he peaks at would just demolish him.
And Wind Slicing technique is simply unavoidable (high AoE), and if Spider-Man is even as much as GRAZED by that attack he will find his body be turned into diced meat (again, since Spider Man is less durable than he is strong, and can be hurt by bullets).
