  • Great Jumping Jehoshaphat! Why, this here's a TBS telecast of the Atlanta Braves hosting those Dodgers from L.A., taped way back in 1997, July 21st, to be exact. So sit a spell. Take your shoes off.

Honestly, and maybe it's just me, but the pace of play was just fine back in 1997 lol

Atlanta Braves first season at Turner Field, the site of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the last Summer Olympics to be played in America the year before.

As a lifetime Dodgers fan I remember this punchless Dodgers lineup of this era. On this day alone after Piazza was scratched from the lineup we had 6 automatic outs. We made Glavine look like Sandy Koufax. These were lean times for sure.

When all you have are WGN, TBS and ESPN on your analog cable TV system, yes, pretty much if you're taping baseball games to watch later, that's what you're going to end up with. That, and the Braves were pretty good in the 1990s. Still, on This Is Where You Find Baseball, you'll find 250 Yankees games. 113 Rangers games. Even 61 Marlins games. 65 Diamondbacks games. 218 Dodgers games. 117 Cubs games. 107 Astros games. You get the picture.
