Still Fighting Algae | 3 Day Blackout

- Still struggling to get this tank back on track. I'm trying a 3 day blackout to fight the green fuzz algae that took over the aquarium. Never tried a blackout before so not sure what to expect. I really hope I can keep this aquarium going and don't have to rescape it just yet.

I think your plan with the new stems is going to be the thing that works - I'd even try and add some super fast growing ones like Limnophilla Sessilora or a Moneywort species just to really starve off the algae.
I'll take that advice and add some more fast growing stems, even if it's just temporarily. Thank you!
I went on holiday and decided to do a blackout for 4 days came back to a mush of plants . Took em all out cranked thr co2 daily all in one fertz, plants have recovered
I'm happy to hear the plants have recovered, careful with the co2... the fish might not enjoy too much of it đ
Have you tried high dosing Phosphate and Potassium? That helped mea fair bit in the past.
I didn't... and at this point, I'm open to trying anything, so I'll give it a go. Thank you đ
@@HobbyScapesHQ I had good success with greenhair algae it takes a while to kick in though.
well done!!! hows the betta tank holding up?
Thank you. The Betta tank is doing great. there are no issues with it
