I love when these 2 do videos together
These guys could not have any better chemistry. “dudes id have a beer with” personified
Podcast!
Agree 100%
Dorr and Coch…….automatic like. You guys make one hell of a pair.
Plates/armor is evolving too. As they become lighter it would be nice to see more torso and side area coverage. You guys have any insight as to what might be in the works?
When you need to dispatch a cheesecake fast be prepared to create space.😂
The buckles were placed on the rear because the male buckle has the adjuster bar, allowing you to pull forward to tighten vs pulling to the rear of the buckle is put on the front of the vest. Each way has its downsides but that was the mindset
"There might be cake", big take away from this!
Have you guys ever considered showing us what the teams would've used on the green/woodland/jungle side on things through the time. Most modern kit and loadouts seemed to be tailored for desert/urban.
I've always been curious how team guys would kit up for modern jungle/forest situations.
The Maritime kit was used in the jungle in place of the AOR2 carrier.
Love how the evolution from my Era of LBE/Flack vest, buttpack days! That's what 10th mtn had in Somalia. Eventually what gets used in SOCOM filters down to the line units. Thanks for working out the issues!!! Dorr, my 1st squad ldr in 86,told me no matter what the mission was, time of day, expected duration, ALWAYS! Bring NODS!!!! Cause shit happens! RLTW!
What are nods? I heard him say that but didn't know what it was.

Why y’all need such a large knife for cake? 😂. Keep up the good, informative, fun content. 👍
…and there might be cake
My official answer to "why do you carry a knife" since I heard it in another "Coch’s bed time stories"
Boys lets get a video going through knives with Coch and Dorr.
Love seeing all your photos actually wearing the stuff.
Speaking of plates, I can't wait to fill mine with turkey and all the trimmings. Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃
Lovin' it!
Would be interesting to see some current near peer rigs.
Thanks for the history & insight!
Yah..🤣😂🤣.. how come there's dried CHEESE CAKE on the shank of this knife , there killer hahaha 😂 . Thank Dorr and Coach for showing us all these developments in P.C.'s
love all coch and dorr vids especially when together
sounds like socoms inventory control is still lacking... 🤣 they probably need another budget increase to do better.
It could be interested also a small talk about chest rigs and how and why they slowly faded up from 90s to nowadays
I like these videos moreso than the firearm, "how to" vids.
Once again, as with all your vids, love the histroy! Evolution is everything. The why behind the how. Keep these comming!
Great video thanks
I really love that gear evolution videos!

Now I looked again and the shoulder straps prove you right and me wrong:)
Very interesting looking at the history/evolution of gear lololol I hope we get other vids like this
Cool OG Frogman stuff and satchel charge hanging in the background🤙🏼!! Geeking hard on this as a 90’s tree suit Army SOF guy into GWOT, lots of commonality to our shit and your community👊🏼🇺🇸 Great content-keep it up!
Amazing 🤩
Please get the hyve online store stocked up!! I need some of those sweet hats and shirts!!!
Awesome stuff guys! Every video I click! haha
Nice. Learn something from the history
VA Beach ❤🤙🏽🙏🏽
Hey guys, love the gear evol series. I did riverine stuff in Iraq in 07 to 09, and then 5 years as a GM at Dev, big Gerardo, I admit. So with Dorr’s MLCS kit you talk about the clip being on the back vice the front.. I saw the downward curve at the top of the carrier, is it possible that you mounted the pouches on the Back plate side? Seems like the curve at the top would be for your neck/ chin? Is it possible that because it was your first kit that you flipped it? Or am I dumb? I used the same one for Opfor stuff ( DRMO special). Either way, great vid!
Great video!!!! Are you guys familiar with the stuff the Israeli's are making at Agilite?
True gear has came a long way since it first started.
Can you post a photo of the back of the plate. Looks like it’s a point Blank plate
Me too!
Great video! I was just curious what is the ballistic rating of the "Pork Chop Express" patch?
💪
Up to a nuculaer bomb
Coch is so damn funny haha
Moreeeeeeeeeeee of this
Coch. What make is your vest you wore in OIF 2003 (G A7) also, how does the unit markings work? G A7 is that for Gold squadron, Alpha platoon, 7th person in the command? i
This was a really good series from two experienced chads. It's cool to see what ideas and lessons went into the old stuff and how it led us to what we have today.
What’s that movie called where everyone shaves their junk and glued the puebs together to form facial hair?
Yeah, that guy on the right.
Jackass 2
Just imagine. In a couple of decades, we'll be prepared to fight the previous war.
Which type of knife (Tops, Kabar, etc) you recommend to have it attached to the plate carrier? Thank you.
Both of those guys ran with the Benchmade nimravus on there plates Carriers mounted to their support left side. Thx for posting
Since your talking about heavy, you guys never got the IMTV? Our command were side plate non negotiable, pack mule slave drivers.
What do you guys think about TYR-Tactical as a product ? 🤔
They issue Crye still
Did you ever use the Benelli M4s?
No not at work. Marines are the only guys using those that I know of.
Do you have a preference of the LBT vs Crye?
They are both great companies. There are certain items I like from each.
Imagine getting a brand new AOR2 rig for free
First and foremost I want to thank everyone for their service and second I would rather have over engineered then under engineered but maybe that's just me.
What kind of knife was that
Benchmade
The pork chop express
