- Quick video to show how to format an SD or USB card as FAT32 if it's larger than 32GB in capacity. Had a few requests for this from people struggling with their RG350s and other similar devices.

Thank you so much! I was struggling with this for days with 4 different people until one of them found your video. It's so simple and straight to the point for solving the problem. I needed this for my 3ds before the market closes next month.
Same
Same but for wii u
Glad it helps, surprised myself that this still works even after uploading this almost 4 years ago.
@@EetioI thought I needed a Mac to format because of the same issue, thanks for the fix!
i've been clueless to hopeless for days figuring out to resolve my issue regarding with my dash cam. and you don't have no idea how much your video/tutorial helped me out.
saved this to my favorites to share with someone whoever in need.
thank you so much! cheers! 🇵🇭
You're a king for this. Only tutorial I could find that didn't require downloading some sketchy software. Appreciate it!
What an absolute legend - was struggling to get this to work and then found your video. So clear, concise and it worked! Thanks so much! :)
Glad it helped, I need to upload a more recent version I think :)
Fantastic walkthrough! Straight and to the point without having to download a bunch of things worked perfectly thanks!
This has been a very well put together video, congrats! I bought 4G surveilance cameras that need SD FAT32, and I bought SDs of 128Gb. I tried formating on Mac, it didn't even detect the SD card. I tried it on android, no FAT32 formatting option, just regular formatting. You could download some third party apps, that required rooting which I didn't find safe and found it complicated. I tried windows CMD like 2 times format FS=FAT32 G: and even in diskpart subwindow, and it didn't work ("too large volume bla bla bla"). But this method in the video has worked! I spent one and a half day to get this done and even considered going to a pc service shop, before I found your vid. You sir, rock! My camera accepts it now.
Thanks for the lovely reply and I'm glad your camera is all working now! It's so nice that after many years this video continues to help you!
Excellent walkthrough!!! Thank you for being so clear, concise & walking through each step.
This was exactly what I needed to get around the 64GB SD-Card limitation for my new AKASO Brave action camera.
I greatly thank you. I was struggling to get my Sandisk As card to work on my phone. With this info I got it fixed and now I can get my photos backed up. Thank you so much for this.
thank you very much i am an aging technophobe and following your tutorial i downloaded the format thing and turned my usb stick to be compatible with my tv in a couple of minutes. you are a total gem
Excellent!! This worked! Been looking for past few days for way to do this and you accomplished it in a simple manner. Thanks.
Straight to the point worked for me extremely well, I’m subbing that’s the content I like
Very informative video. Thanks for taking the time to explain step by step so well! Easy and fast even on my old computer.
A quick, direct to the point video Very helpful ❤
This still works!!!
I was running into so many issues trying to figure out how to do this.
Thank You!!
Thanks so much! I love this guide. Straight to the point, no time wasting.
Straight to the point, thanks for the help fella
The link you dropped is a life saver. Thanks pal.
Thank you so much for this. Best explanation I've seen yet!
Amazing! I did exactly what you said and the error came up and I have to say it worked. Thank you very much!
This really was quick and easy- Thanks so very much
It is now 2023 and still works perfectly, thank you!
Thank you! I had forgotten I had even downloaded guiformat before!
thank you! i got so worried when i saw so many people saying that i need an sd card under 32gb cuz i only had a 256gb one but this helped so much!
Thank you so much; this tutorial worked like a charm and fixed my Micro SDXC card in the process (I tried following another tutorial to format my Micro SDXC as FAT32 and caused it to give me a "please insert a disk into SDXC" message whenever I attempted to open it, using SD Memory Card Formatter made it accessible again. I also didn't encounter any kind of error when I followed this tutorial.)
Needed to format my Micro SDXC as FAT32 in order to use it on my New Nintendo 2DS XL (wanna buy as much as I can before its eShop shuts down, so I'll need plenty of space to fit the games I want). Again, thank you so much for this tutorial and ending all the hassle I've gone through just to get some extra storage on a 2DS lol.
what an amazing vid. had this issue for a few hours!
Thanks! Was unsuccessfully trying to do this all day with command prompt and PowerShell.
Thank you so much! Your video is easy to follow, and gets the job done. Fantastic tutorial.

Exactly the video I neeed with clear direct information! Thank you!
Quick walkthrough showing the tools needed. The quirk of running system format twice on one of my SD cards so it could be run by the FAT32 formatter helped.

Thanks this helped a ton!
Thank you so much for this it really helped
Thank you this helped Very much! :)
Thanks for the concise vid! I was able to get it working eventually. I had a bit of an obscure issue so I'll write it here in case anyone else needs help. I kept getting the error message from the guiformat.exe even though all my file explorer windows were closed. The issue was that I usually have another microsd card connected to my PC, so I had to keep that card in as my D: drive and put the other sd card in, at the same time, with an adapter. Then multiple drives showed up in the guiformatter including my C: drive and choose the new drive which showed up as G: for me. Then it worked! I don't understand why though.
I also read a forum post that suggested I go into task manager and end the background process of "Windows File Explorer" or "explorer.exe" That makes your screen turn grey except for open programs. Tried reformatting but that didn't work. To undo the grey screen, click "File" in Task Manager, then "Run New Task" and type in "explorer.exe" then File Explorer will be restored. Unfortunately, that wasn't my issue.
Hope this might help someone!
The last one helped out. Ending the explorer task then reformatting worked! Even after a year your comment helped. This shit was making me lose my mind lol
@@edxander7169 Oh so glad to hear!
Thank you! You're a lifesaver.
that was so easy thank you
great and straight forward video another option is ease us partiton master aswell
fat32format was giving me that message every time no matter what I did until I unchecked "Quick Format"... then after the format starts you have to option to click stop and have it switch back to quick format. This worked for me and it was fast too.
Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!🙏🙏🙏
thank you for this tuorial. it helps a lot.
Dude, thank you
thank you so much it works
ty 100x over ty ty ty this actually helped me unbrick my 3ds as well
thank you for the guide :)
worked! thanks!
Dose it ❤❤❤❤
WOW! Worked for me!
Thanks!!
Thank you
Thanks . Worked well but with a little twist. I did receive the error in step 2 and I tried formatting again in step 1 but it didn't work. So I overwrite format, then reformat, and then went to step 2 and worked well. The FAT32 link is dead but I found the same link somewhere else. Got my 128GB micro SD card to work on my dash cam, which only took 32G max.
I just created to size partition I wanted in disk manager and then used powershell to format.
Works great tnx
This worked for my 256 gb sd
Legend Subbed
Thanks!
thanks a lot subscribed and liked
Great explanation and walkthrough, I am now able to hack my Wii U! Thanks!
Thanks mate :)
still works in 2024 in case anyones wondering. just have to find the link to the tool elsewhere.
I'll see if I can update the link!
if it doesnt work for you try unplugging it and plug it back in and also make sure SD card Formatter is close then run it and you should be able to format it to FAT32. this worked for me after getting an error
thank you!!!
thank you :)
Thanks pal
THANK YOU!!! I'm going to share the💩 crap outta this video. Even your links are all still good on this one! 😁
Glad it helped, I'm surprised the links still work as I made it a while ago now!
