- I don’t think modern football has ever witnessed a turnaround quite like Newcastle’s striker turned midfielder, Joelinton. But how did the Brazilian, who had played as a forward his whole career, go from a record transfer flop, to a revelation in the center of the park.

The simplest way to say it, is that for the second half of this season, Bruno G has been the second best Brazilian in our team. We think he's f*cking brilliant. What a player he's turned out to be.
Hes Brazilian
He only cost £40 million
And we think he's fucking brilliant
He's Joelinton 🖤 ⚪ 🖤 ⚪
And now he's been called up for Brazil! Nice video!
What a baller! Appreciate it
As a toon fan watching him get called up for Brazil makes me emotional. What a time the lads had. The city is so incredibly proud of him!
And does it all with with a big smile on his face - what a legend.
Joelinton is close to becoming my favourite ever player, and that puts him in some rich company.
I love the guy
I've said this on multiple joelinton videos but this man is a physical beast of a player, his added technical ability is almost redundant as he simply runs through players.
So happy for the guy, you can tell he's a gem of a soul and to see him shine on the pitch has been so gratifying.
great video!! joelinton is a fantastic member of our squad. when he doesn't play there's a huge hole in the pitch.
Bad Striker turns into Midfield Colossus, what a genius stroke by Eddie Howe!
great vid mate
Appreciate it 🤝
He is my favourite NUFC footballer. I'm a little biased being a Geordie but this man has turned a corner and is now pure gold. Joelintons transformation has been amazing but not unexpected for anyone who has watched him training. Steve Bruce on the other hand was completely clueless. One of the few terrible football managers who can be gifted a diamond player, break his spirit and turn him into cheap glass. Anyone else would have changed the teams style of play to bring the best out of a talent like Joelinton.
He's growing into his position now and is still improving, massive miss when not playing. Still has parts of his game he needs to work on. Sometimes gets caught on the ball by opposition, but at the rate he's building his game I'm sure this will be erradiated next season.
Goatlinton
Our best player for two seasons. One of his best qualities goes unnoticed....his mental toughness. He never once let his head drop when some of those around him started to doubt him.
Those quotes from Nagelsmann are classsss! Big Joe man!! ⚫️⚪️
Its crazy that i was just thinking of Joelinton. The algorithm knows me too well
He's an absolute credit to Newcastle and not he's finally got his break with Brazil. Love the guy.
Nice summary, well done. Big Joe is a beast.
Excellent video, thanks.
Excellent review.
moussa dembele is a great comparison, really good close control too and hungry to win the ball back
great video
It’s no secret his Premier League career didn’t get off to a good start, but now he is loved and revered by the Newcastle fan-base, and rightly so because he is one of the first names on the team sheet..?
And now he’s just extended his contract, so hopefully more success to come?
Great summary! As much as I heap praise on Eddie Howe & Joelinton himself for his superb turnaround, one thing that can't be overstated is the absolutely garbage management "abilities" of Steve Bruce. It's not just Joelinton he kept down either: Almiron, Schär, Longstaff & Murphy to name a few have all shown what they can do with an actually competent coach.
Tbf I think Eddie Howe is more than competent. He looks like he’s going to be an elite coach, the parallels between him and Klopp are hard to ignore. Both brought a tiny club up multiple divisions to the first division and share an almost identical philosophy. He has shown what he can do when given a decent budget and in his first 18 months has taken a club from bottom of the league and certain for relegation to a cup final and 4th place in the league, all with the best defensive record i might add. This dude is gunna win a lot of trophies over the next 10 years for sure
Eddie Howe used how he would develop JoeLinton is his interview for Toon the job
And he got his Brazil Call for the first time today!!
Can't wait for the fixtures to come out on the 15th June
Think he’s best deployed on the left wing. He can help out with the defence midfield and attack as he’s got the engine for it.
good video! If you had to decide what valuation would you put on him now? Oh and he just got his first Brazil call up which is long overdue
Thanks, he's gotta be worth over 50M at this point.
AND NOW HE JUST GOT CALLED UP FOR BRAZIL FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Eddie Howe is incredible also Joelinton
What's even more astounding is the fact that an Australian is interested in football 😂
Dennis berkamp if that’s how you spell it, wasn’t he a flop when he first joined arsenal?
Steve Bruce should never be allowed near a football team ever again. A squad that Bruce almost got relegated, and Eddie Howe qualified for champions league with them.... Is Steve Bruce the worst manager in the history of the Premier League??

No one In these comments will ever fully realise just how proud all Us NUFC supporters are of this man.
He was mocked and ridiculed week in week out for a solid 2 years, even by his own fans. The man stood up straight, faced it all head on and took every bit of it and came back fighting into this absolute beast we have the pleasure of watching week in week out now.
Joey we all adore you and we're insanely proud of you.
ONE OF OUR OWN!!!!!!!
He has a strong character and he needed it after his first two seasons and the abuse he had to take back then, then came Eddie Howe and just what a change, now he’s great and a huge part of the team. Best wishes for your Brazil call up mate all the fans now have to eat those words of abuse you had to put up with when you were badly handled by Steve Bruce. Joelinton now a big cog in the wheel that is Newcastle United.
