      you got hacked because this paramotor doesnt have a cripplezone and faceplant protection. for the audacity of yours to fly something else then theeee beeest in universe the audio sync decided to leave when you edit that video! 😅
      all jokes aside: i think this thing is super nice too. the torque compensation things are carbon fiber? looks so nice! how does that feel compare to lets say a torque strap connected to a harness? i got one of those strange things on mine and i also dont feel any change of direction when squeezing throttle. that being said: i am still beginner pilot and know nothing compare to you guys. keep it up trevor! 🤛

    I flew this frame for 15hrs at Bad Apples and loved it. One thing though make sure that you keep the strap that holds the seat up securely behind you. I had it find its way into the airbox and give me 2 engine outs b4 I figured out what was going on

  • @davidyoung518

    I have the same issue with the spring on the throttle rope. Best quick fix is to use a small section of fuel line to protect it. Slice it length wise and then use electric tape to hold it in place.

    • @moonsynth

      I used heat shrink and it's been good for 75+ hours.

    • @davidyoung518
      @davidyoung518 Před rokem

      @@moonsynth That's cool. I'm assuming you had to remove the handle and spring in order to get the heat shrink on it, and then put it all back together.
      I just split a fuel line, popped it on and held it together with some tape. Easy Peasy!! 2 years later...no problems!

    • @moonsynth
      @moonsynth Před rokem

      @@davidyoung518 yes, correct. Another funny mod I did was to saddle stitch a rectangle of leather on the shoulder strap. The starter rope kept burning it! Probably could fix by adjusting my technique, but I didn't want any more burn marks while I was figuring it out.

    Overall how does it compare to the Limitless? The fuel tank filler looks slightly inaccessible on the MacFly.

    • @TrevorSteele1
      @TrevorSteele1  Před rokem +1

      Fuel tank is easy to get to. It flies better than the limitless in my opinion. Weight shift is better. Weight sits closer and higher and it’s lighter. Torque compensation is a little better too. Limitless is stronger and can take more abuse.

    Just out of interest, how does cage fex affect power forwards? I never do them and I'm trying to imagine what effect it could have.

    • @TrevorSteele1
      @TrevorSteele1  Před rokem +1

      If there’s lots of cage flex it’s best not to do forwards. Stronger cages are better for power forwards. The macfly wouldn’t be the best for power forwards.

      Yeah dude it’s super hard to find someone to trust. I would say don’t let it deter you because this is one of the most magical and life changing things you can do. If you’d like, I’ll connect you with some pilots in your area and you can pick their brain. I’m always happy to talk over the phone about any questions you might have. The usppa is also a good resource for learning about this sport.

      @@TrevorSteele1 there is someone that has me considering if I don’t fly a certain thing or get their training, I am probably going to die. Then there is you doing something different now. I don’t care about anyone’s community drama. I don’t want to die. It’s not very enticing. It’s fair when the stakes are that high for me to have concern on who I trust. Not throwing shade at anyone. Ultimately I have to take responsibility for my choice and without confidence it’s hard to want to step off into the sky.

      @@CraigThomas2070 i know where you're coming from. I had the same thoughts.
      No one paramotor is so safe that you dont have to worry. I will say the guy who trained me also trained a super student who couldnt launch once he left the beach with no wind.
      The guy is trying to sell his FT paramotor for the last 6 months. Hes given up and bought a more logical paramotor. Ive only got 4 flights under my belt and haven't flown in 3 months do to weather. Been windy in Florida. It is a safe sport. Get good training and new equipment and use your head when it comes to launching in windy/questionable conditions and youll be fine.
      Dont fall into that 17 thousand dollar fear trap some guy is selling.

      @@libertyforamericanow Just in case you're seeking out Florida afternoons for flying and avoiding mornings because of how miserable it is to wake up that early, and just in case nobody has told you this yet, which was my situation, at this point in the year you should only fly in the morning and skip afternoon/evening flights until some time in September, possibly early Oct. Trust me on this. It sucks, but it will keep you safe!
