You guys have been saying this wrong for months. I’m pretty sure the CFP committee doesn’t evaluate the entire conference, it’s the 5th highest ranked conference champion out of the remaining non power conferences. For example, if Memphis wins their conference and is ranked 17th and Liberty wins their conference and is ranked 23rd, Memphis gets the spot. It has nothing to do with how the other teams in the AAC perform. Like I said I could be wrong, but that’s how I interpreted it.
This is correct. The CFP committee has never officially ranked entire conferences, and there’s nothing new in the language that suggests they will begin doing that.
A group of 5 playoff would not make a lot of money, you say this alot, but it would get CFL level viewership. I'd rather see if they can get some upsets in that first round.
