The electrical back box is useful during a new construction so your roughed in wires do not get buried during wall closure by other trades. You can also create conduit runs to the box with string so you can run new wires in the future. This will be especially useful when this technology ages out and we have to run a new type of wire to this location.
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing that info Shawn. Much appreciated 👌
I totally love the farmyard install job that is totally what I’d do to 😂😂😂
It is the only way.
the new G2 Reader looks so much better then the old G1 reader
Way more modern feel to it, for sure.
Hey Lars, thanks for the video :) Do you know if the video from the camera can record to Unifi Protect?
It cannot currently. The video is only recorded on events as well, and only lives in Access.
Hey Lars, if you don't mind sharing.. who do you use as your primary store/seller for new Ubiquiti kit?
I use a variety tbh. I have used Ubiquiti Warehouse (UBWH) a fair bit, but also Kogan, Scorptec and 4Cabling. In this video, Unifi provided the device for me to test.
Could you also use this as a regular doorbell?
I believe so. I haven't done it, but you have 4 aux outputs from the Access Hub, which should enable that.
Use 2.3 watt less 👍
Oh, I forgot about that! Very nice improvement too 👌
It's nice but too expensive
I guess that depends on your use case as well. If you have 50 users to manage, it might be better value?
