- "The Untold Civil War"
History is not an inanimate subject. It is the story of human beings: what they felt, how they acted, the dreams they nurtured, the emotions through which they passed. In THE UNTOLD CIVIL WAR, Robertson summarizes 132 little incidents in the war. Not one of them affected the outcome of the struggle, but they reveal in different ways the deep and sincere feelings that form the very foundation of the war itself.
Recorded at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center in July 2014 as part of the annual Sacred Trust Talks and Book Signings.

Outstanding talk!!! Dr. Robertson is absolutely phenomenal!!!!
His last sentence at the end of the lecture is so true. If we forget or ignore our history we will have no future.
Dr. Robertson is awesome!! Thought I knew everything but nope, still learning from this great Historian!❤️
The best I've seen
Requiescat in Pace Dr Robertson
RIP
The venom that Montgomery C. Megs had for General Lee is nothing compared with what many Americans feel today for General Lee.
And yet,
when General Lee died the entire nation, North and South, went into mourning on his passing.
Even the men who fought against General Lee morned his passing.
I have research historic events at different libraries around the country.
The last thing I always do, no matter what I am researching, is look at the local newspapers to see what they said on his passing. I have never found any animosity towards General Lee, not until the 21st century.
pretty dry crowd...
Was this guy just in from hunting wabbits?
WHAT???? Are you serious? Just what planet were you born on, slick??? This distinguished gentleman has more brains than a dork like you could ever hope to even imagine!!
You are undoubtedly a deeply ignorant as well as a rude fellow. Go and get an education for yourself.
That professor has just passed away from what I understand.
And l didn't agree with all of his beliefs, although we are both Southerners.
I have read his biographies of Gen.T.J. ''Stonewall'' Jackson & Gen.A.P. Hill.
He leftout very little or no details of either man.
His accent is from Southside Virginia along the N.Carolina border, being born in Danville,Va.
Saarn1823 hi, Grow up!
@@carywest9256 what is southerner? But an American that lives in the southeastern US.
George Washington warned against geographic regionalism, political and religious ideologies being placed above their identity as Americans.
Far too much editorializing based on the Lost Cause.
Actually no.
This historian is one of the most accurate you'll find.
I heard him give a talk once. During the question phase at the end he chastised something someone said as a "Lost Cause" inaccuracy and went on to correct the person asking the question.
You should exert less energy on hate and more on the evidence.
