Thoma is definitely one of my favorite characters personality wise. I love him.
Thoma is one of the under appreciated units of the game due to his design not being unique enough, being a shielder, and of course being a male character.
But I like really like his character and the scenes he’s involved in.
Every time I hear his dome music, I think of the Max0r video
The dog tags were a pretty clear clue. When you do visit Inazuma, it's worth keeping in mind where Thoma is, with the position he has, living the life he does. Due to the storyline being a bit abridged, there are some very early clues as to what's going on and why that tend to drift out of most players' minds once out of sight. The Kamisato household is excellent at carefully separating what they know and what they speculate when relating it to you.
I think the Kokomi meme had more to do with the timing of the anime adaptation of Konosuba than anything else. These days she's been replaced by Furina, who makes for truly excellent material for the joke. Although there's one important difference: it seems like just about everybody who doesn't respect Furina is half-joking when they say it, and they clearly adore her in any event. Entirely sane people worship her. People who are grumpy, overworked, and whose lives should be being made more difficult by an incompetent goddess still love their Hydro Archon. Furina is far smarter and more socially aware than Aqua, and there is method behind her adopted role of court jester.
