- Taking a look at the Glock 45 chambered in 9 millimeter.
Is it the best duty weapon ever? I think it is.

US Veteran here, this is my winter edc. Got it through Blue Label program from primary arms with night sights. Under$500
great choice.... hard to go wrong with the blue label program. Thanks for stopping by.
Carried a G17/G22 on duty when I was in law enforcement and a G19 as my off duty weapon. I still like both pistols but the G45 was perfect for me. The balance is amazing and it shoots great! The G45 became my new edc.
I carry mine in the winter when it's hoodie time and or a coat. Does not print under winter clothing at all and has plenty of capacity. I still like my G19 for summer or my Masada Slim...... Thanks for checking out the video and stopping by. Something here for everyone.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors same here fall and winter G45 and spring and summer G19 and occassionally G26.
If you ever have the opportunity to hold a IWI Masada Slim.... DO IT!!!.... you won't regret it..... your wallet might... but it is nice.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors i've heard of them i'll definitely check it out.
That’s a great Glock 45 gen5, chambered in 9mm. It shoots great, precise, flawless, and a light ccw pistol ether owb, iwb, inside car, backpack, or fanny pack in most friendly states.
absolutely... thanks for checking out the video....
The G45 is my current duty pistol. It is issued with Ameriglo Spartan sights that are custom ordered by our agency. Great gun!
Glad you like it. If went back to working the road tomorrow that is what I would carry for sure. Thanks for checking it out.
I run the trijicon HD Orange on all my glocks. Great choice and thanks for sharing a great video.
I appreciate you checking it out man.... thanks for stopping by the channel.
Dig the honesty man - solid review, thanks for making this!
I try..... I don't always get it right but I try. Thanks for stopping by.
My favorite ccw pistol for vehicle carry and fanny pack carry with a leather holster. It’s flawless, fires accurately, lighter than expected. I’ve bought mine 2021 + extra mags, some are 33 rd mags for home defense reserved loaded. I ❤️ my Glock 45 gen5.👍
they are great pistols for sure.... I daily mine. Thanks for checking out the video.
I have g20 and recently got 30rd mag, loaded with fmj and three 15rd mags with hp ammo for all of it as home defense 😂
Would like to see Glock give the same treatment to .40 S&W with a G23 slide on a G22 frame.
ehhh..... I mean the .40 had its day.... not something I even own anymore.... yes of course I know lots of people still own them..... but I prefer the 9mm. Cheaper.... and ammo is more popular now more than .40..... but yeah I get it. Thanks for checking out the video.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors yea 9mm is cheaper but 40 is still over all a better round
If you want to take the lanyard loop off you can. There’s videos on it. You have to take the loop off to put a flared magwell on
Oh totally... I figured it out later on...... I thought I mentioned it in the video.... I learned about taking it off after making the video on the 19x
Beautiful pistol, blessings
Thanks man... have a great day. Appreciate you stopping by and checking it out.
I am a veteran never owned a glock but I am getting ready to buy one the G45 is the one I like for a carry weapon the trigger up grade was a good tip I agree the factory one is not good enjoyed your content.
I appreciate it man.... thanks for checking out the video.... yeah I daily carry the G45 in the winter and the G19 in the summer.... and sometimes I carry the IWI Masada Slim in the summer as well. The G45 is just kind of a sweet spot for me. Come back and see me some time.... something here for everyone.
You're the real thing. Enjoyed the video.
appreciate that very much. thanks for checking out the video.
You should look into Johnny Glocks version of the Glock performance trigger. It has the pre travel fixed, a more suitable connector, and a better trigger shoe. It’d be a good review and pull some more viewers in since people always want to see his triggers in action.
Ooooh..... I bought a trigger from them one time..... honestly I thought it was awful.... it was for a Gen 3 17....... I ended up taking it out and going back to stock...... then sold the trigger and glock both.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors not gonna lie. I bought his combat trigger for my G45 and went back to stock too lol. But I just hear he made the Glock performance trigger better. I agree with you I didn’t think it was all that
I got his trigger shoe for it and it makes the GPT absolutely amazing. I also got the + connector and it makes it about a 4-5lb pull
Great video
Thanks man.... something here for everyone
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors I just put a down payment on the g45 the other day. So anxious lol
Your squared away Joe you got a good sense of humor and your cool
appreciate the kind words man.... thanks for checking out the channel. Come back and see me anytime.
Love my G45 mos. I kind of get a chuckle that our Swat team uses the G34 with a dot. Should have went with the the G45 mos. Now if you're just using irons that would work, but when sight radius doesn't come into play I think the G45 would have been the better choice imo.
I really like the G45 as well.... great pistols.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors Try it with the Radian Ramjet Afterburner. 15lb. recoil spring. My favorite build to date.
I'm not a fan of glock I've had a 43 for summer carry in Texas but I happened across a G45 I appendix carry this when I'm in Houston or bigger cities in the summer and absolutely love the G45 so much that I have 2 1 for home defense and 1 for carry
I dig the G45..... it's the perfect size for many different roles for sure. Thanks for stopping by the channel.
Definitely the best duty weapon ever made , I rather take this to war rather than the m17/18
I would agree with you..... glock over Sig all day and twice on Sunday.....
19x I take war to bro ha allsome guns
Cheap ass government gives other countries millions and cuts out men of war to cheaper guns trump 24
I carry the g45 when I'm wearing a hoodie or something a little baggy. Other days it's my springfield xds .40. That being said the g45 with my holster does tuck in really well and only prints if I make a wrong move with just my t-shirt on.
Pretty much same story for me.... I carry my G45 daily when I can get away with it... and the Masada Slim or G19 on days when I just have a T shirt on...... Thanks for checking out the video.
I have a lanyard loop on everything. Don’t mean I have to use it but it’s there if I need it . I tie down everything.
Not a bad idea in some situations..... thanks for checking out the video. Something here for everyone.
I do like the M17. Neither myself nor anyone I’ve served with has had an issue. I got my 45 out of personal preference for grip angle and ergonomics.
In the early phase of them I knew a lot of guys still in that said they were crap.... but I know sig worked real hard to sweep that under the rug. The 320 has been full of bugs. Maybe they have them all worked out.... but the military would have been better off with Glocks. They went with the cheaper option. Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.
Just got one today over the 19x
essentially the same gun, but yeah I like the G45 alot...... thanks for checking out the review.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors - It took me about an hour to decide between the 19X and G45 and had to make the right decision being my first Glock. Thanks for you time and youtube videos it's helped me out alot.
Glock performance trigger comes stock on the G45. Why would you change the triggers?
so where in the world did you hear such a thing?.... G45 comes with a bone stock glock trigger..... unless they have changed something in the last month or two......
As for money for ukraine or where ever.. its much easier to launder or get kick backs or favors once you get the money offshore..😉 just saying
Yeah no doubt..... Thanks for checking out the video.
G45 is a great duty pistol. But EDC? It don’t meet the criteria. It’s a little too big for me to carry concealed. But as a duty gun carrying in a holster outside the waistband it’s perfect. My EDC is the G26. It doesn’t print at all & hardly notice it when I’m carrying it. I tried carrying the G19 for a week but it wasn’t as comfortable as the G26. But hey a lot of people carry the G19 or the G45 so it can be done. Just not for me.
I'm tall and skinny, so my 19 does not print at all.... and in the winter if I have a hoodie or a coat I don't print with the g45. I also have larger hands so I like the larger grip on it as well. Thanks for checking out the video.
My department issued me a Glock 22 gen 4 and I have to say it made me hate the gen 4. So I bought a G45 for my duty gun. I felt someone’s 19x and it felt slightly better then my 45. Gonna put black grip tape on my 19x and try to carry it on duty lol.
I think it will make a great duty weapon..... I have a friend who works in TX..... he carries a G45 on duty.
Why would a 19X feel slightly better than a G45? They're identical other than some minor aesthetics.
Did I say one feels better than the other? If so, that's one for the blooper reel maybe..... yeah they are the same firearm essentially with minor differences. I know I have a large backstrap on the 19x and left the g45 just like it came..... maybe that's what I meant. I would have to go back and watch the final cut and check it out again. Thank you for checking out the video. I appreciate it.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors oh I don’t think you said it lol. I was saying I feel like my 19x felt slightly better than my 45😂but I think it was just placebo since, like you said it’s basically the same gun. Although I feel my 19x feels slightly larger
My GLOCK 45 is my EDC
I like the heck out of mine..... it's perfect..... maybe a little big for summer time... but I say carry the biggest thing you can conceal...... thanks for stopping by and checking it out.
i held this weapon and it felt good in my hand and i have to buy one for myself i haven't shot the gun yet but i will go to the range and shoot it and see how well it shoots and see if that's the weapon for me. my brother said it's the best glock ever so i have to find out myself
I really hope it works out for you man.... I consider it a great weapon, and if I was going to go back into law enforcement tomorrow that is what I would carry. Thanks for stopping by the channel, something here for everyone.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors that's great i can't wait to get my hands on one what do you think about the canik tp9sfx? i notice a lot of people have a lot of guns but i think 5 should be well enough. i want 3 full size guns and 2 compact guns one to carry one for just the range and two at home and one in my vehicle
The canik mete SF is great.... it's glock 19 size.
thanks coach@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors
But you did go there.
go where?....lol
You got my sub because you are a honest Glock loving American patriot 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 TRUMP2024
FJB
yeah I like glocks for sure.... carried one for over 20 years now.....
Fully retired from everything. Lol. 5 more years for me.
wish you the best when that time comes man...... thanks for checking out the video and stopping by the channel.
Very disappointing. I see a subtitle of “Best duty weapon ever?” and naturally assume that I am going to be watching a video on the Sig P226 Mk 25.
Well the Mk 25 is just a shadow of what a 226 from Germany use to be....lol. Sig QC has gone off the rails in my opinion. There is a picture of a Glock model 45 in the thumbnail. So I dunno what would be so disappointing......If you want a nice sig. Go buy a German made sig 226. I appreciate you stopping by and checking it out. Thank you.
@@AverageGIJoeOutdoors Touchy, not much on tongue in cheek remarks on the title eh? Rather meant as a joke. Anyway, as you said, it’s only your opinion and I’ve got mine as well which is equally valid. I have a history with the Mk 25 and the Sig X5s are exemplary. I know these guys in the link below aren’t on your level of expertise, but they’ve got some really good insights. Point is, there’s a lot of Glock bandwagon garbage out there and a lot of ignorance when it comes to Sigs. czcams.com/video/lElS7twnbzU/video.htmlsi=Niu5eKboi1itG83l
I appreciate all the insight..... one of the reasons I do this is to have great conversations with people about firearms and outdoor related stuff. I've carried both on duty and would trust my life with either manufacturer, although Sig is not exactly known for having great quality control here lately. The early 365's had some really bad growing pains.... the 320... well we all know about the large concerns that continue to grow over that firearm... and the sig cross was junk when it came out. Some of the rifles that have been issued to our troops also do not work as advertised...... I guess my point is.... I would have to have put alot of rounds through one to trust it these days. I believe the last one I carried on duty was a 229 or 226. It was in 2005 and can't remember. It was a German made Sig and never let me down, I even carried it off duty. But I always gravitate back to a glock for duty use or the world ending. I appreciate you stopping by.
Is that the one that shoots by itself?
Yes, that’s why it was the official gun of the Navy Seals for many years, because it shoots by itself.
Glock paper scissors Shoot 👍
LOL, thanks for checking out the video.
Nice gun there lk the 19 x tho both allsome guns
They are both nice... and yes same gun essentially. Thanks for watching.
43x do all the big boys dur and conseal better
In the winter when I have a hoodie on I prefer a larger pistol with better magazine capacity.... but to each their own brother. Thanks for checking out the video.
