My Granda was from Carlingford and this was his favourite song. He used to sing it to us when we were younger. It was fitting that it was the song played at his burial. I get emotional every time I hear it especially with Luke’s voice.

My ancestor’s are from Mayo also and I’m 81 just discovered Luke this year. I don’t know how I missed him all these years but thank goodness I found him on Utube.

He was always a gentleman and our brief discussions on "world affairs" were brief but informative. Luke was not just a singer, he was a sage, may he rest easy.
