🙏 See below for the Act of Spiritual Communion:
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

Thank u fr. Mike todays homily spoke directly to me
As a young 39 year old i suffered a medical crisis like the italian girl. This left me with a pwrmanent braun damage a mobility disabilityand some visual impairment
.despite trying to carry on as before i eventually had to rwtire earlyand fewl so frustrated at my declineprwvwnting me from doing anything i consider worthwhile as a disciple of Jesus. But aftwr ur homily i know u can love others and pray and reset my goals. I also conjoin my pain and suffering to jesus' passion and death on the cross to lessen his suffering for our forgivenessand salvation. Bless you fr. Mike. Love from ireland
You have a beautiful and a beautiful never ages. It can love as strongly as day 1
Asking prayers that I may understand and listen to God’s will for me and my family.
Prayers
Prayers 🙏🏻 and Blessings for you and your family. 😊
Begin again! Another wonderful homily, Father Mike. It spoke to me in many ways. I am going to try to practice the things you spoke about. Help me, Lord Jesus, to begin again every day. If I fail, help me to try again and again. Help me also to love like you love. Thank you Father Mike. You always inspire me to live a better Christian life.
Thank you Father Mike. This homily speaks exactly to me. I’m tired of trying to keep up . Instead of being persistent I will be present. Thank you for allowing God speak through you.
I thank you Father Mike and everyone there at U of M Duluth for this ministry. You all are my source of Mass when I'm on the road working and I cannot be at Mass. God bless you all.
Thank you, Father, for your thoughts about "decline", and"Beginning Again" with a new strength...God often speaks to me through your heart...thank you, and God Love You... Pray for me...
Thank you Fr. Mike, once again; your homilies speak to me. Again, at 94, the neurons are getting further apart, but I still can do most of the math puzzles on CZcams. I'm not doing original research any more, but I'm trying to spread the word that there is no war between science and the Church, that science is one of God's gifts to man, like art and music. Your remarks about synthesizing and integrating versus creating at different ages are very apt. And, indeed, it is necessary to learn to love well now. I'll have to take that as my new vision.
Father Mike,
Every week you deliver the most profound homilies. Number one podcaster but also number 1 in your gift to communicate such amazing content. This one really spoke to me as an aging athlete. Thank you.❤
Remember that we Catholics believe in the resurrection of the body. The best is yet to come!
I literally said to God this week that it would probably be better for everyone in my life if I were dead. This homily was such a comfort from God. Thank you Fr Mike.
I have had that thought, too (not recently, but I have been there). I am glad you are still here. We can ask Jesus to carry us in His arms like a little lamb, and rest in that trust. Wishing you peace.
Please pray for my 94 year old mother Anne marie
Peace be with you, Fr. Mike and Front Pew Crew. Thanks for online Mass and Thanks for being a big part of my prayer life, Ascension Presents Ministry. Between all of you and Bishop Barron's Word on Fire, Mass wouldn't even be an option for me. God bless you.
I offer this Mass up for all my Deceased family members and friends. Lord have Mercy on their Souls Amen 🙏
I’m a truck driver, sometimes it’s hard to find the place and the time to congregate. this is been a huge blessing that I can assist to Eucharist so I don’t miss it even when I can’t go to church. Thank you all so much and may god keep blessing this great service! 🙏🏻
Thank you for the blessing of this Mass. I was stuck at home today, now grateful for Father Mike's meaningful message in the homily. At 64 years old, i can relate to every word. God bless everyone attending this livestream Mass today 🙏
Love like Jesus and be willing to begin again. It may look different each time but keep reaching and pushing towards Jesus.
Thank you Father for putting God’s plans for us into human language. The language of God’s love
Best Homily, Father Mike, "I have still have a HEART to love!!!!, replied by a paralyzed 19year old lady!!!amazing!!!
Thank you, Father Mike. This homily deeply resonated with me.
Thank you so much for this precious gift. We homebound folks are so blessed to have this opportunity to participate in Mass and transcend time and space. What a sweet reminder ❤️
I was also extremely grateful to Fr. Mike for acknowledging that some of us are homebound and that these Masses can connect us and transcend time and space. It's so encouraging.
* Great homily and examples today. We must embrace reality and find new strengths as we start to decline health wise.
* We must begin again.
* What does winning mean? Money, fame, things?
* Jesus' message of loving each other and following His commandments to remain His friends.
* Arthur C. Brooks- From Strength to Strength (book)- Awesome book recommendation
* We peak at age 20 to 29. We decline from our 30s
* 2009 survey where people think that 85 age is when we are getting old
* Air Traffic Controller mandatory retirement at 57 age
We must look at things
* We will be judged based on how we loved- St. John of the Cross
* Loved the story of Chiara Badano, who was from Italy was in hospitalized yet she consoled and cheered people who visited her. She couldn't move physically but she could move hearts using her love through uniting her suffering with Jesus.
* Winning is being like Jesus. When we fail, we must begin again.
Thank you Fr. Mike, Team Ascension, and the Front Pew Crew. God bless you all and the fellow attendees
Thank you for summarizing the points made in the homily. 🙏🕊️
Thank you so much for your kind words, Nancy! God bless you @@Stemp638
God Bless Fr. Mike and all this VFP. This Mass is such a sacred connection when I am unable to get out of my home. Thank you, Jesus, and Ascension Press for bringing Holy Mass to us every week. 🙏🙏🙏
A wonderful homily. Thank you Father Mike.
Amen, thank you Fr. Mike for a great homily. those who have taken the wrong path can always begin again.
If you feel decline, ask your children how they would miss you if you were gone. Your presence encourages and comforts them....if just with a smile...
I hear you. How would you extend that to apply to the large number of people who don’t have children?
I beliEvE you Ask your mother...our Father delights in you child!!!
Thank you and blessings and grace of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you Fr Mike & the front pew crew. You are all in my prayers. I so appreciate this mass, your homily’s and prayers. I’m recovering from a recent lumbar spinal fusion and will never take walking for granted again. I offer up all my pain and suffering for the poor souls in purgatory and especially for our Lords scared heart. For the sake of His sorrowful passion have mercy on us and on all the world. ❤️💕✝️✝️💓
Peace be with you all, from myself, as well as my cats Tessa, Pumpkin, Dova and Mini.❤
Thank you Fr Mike 🌟
Since God intends to make us like Jesus, He will take us through the same experiences Jesus went through in his life.
Difficulties are a reality for all of us. It is God's way of inviting us to serve and trust in him.
God is our strength and help in all the seasons of our life.
The person who has experienced light and darkness, war and peace, rise and fall, can teach us the lessons and meaning of our life.
The one who strives and goes after the Lord never stops saying Now I begin.
When our strength fails, we must simply say Let's begin again.
Winning is to be like Jesus and love like Jesus🌻
Father Mike Thank you so much foe all you are and all you Do Loving like Jesus is winning Thank you PRAISE GOD!!!!! Amen
Wow! Thank you Father again yuy bring me to tears. I so needed to her this today. I will now make sure to do this simple thing ; to say this to myself every time my mind wanders and goes to a place where defeat wants to take me down. I now begin again with You Jesus ! 🙏🏼 Amen
This was the most fascinating homily.
Amazing homily today 😮 THANK YOU 🙏💙❣️
Great message. Thank you. How do you think the new generations can “need” the wisdom of the elderly in this time of so much education and new technology…???
Amen, and thank you. Also another wonderful sermon that leaves me with a lot to ponder in my heart.
God bless you Father Mike
Father Mike, you give me peace and strength, please give the peace and strength to the students around the world to oppose oppression, promote freedom and justice ❤
Winning to me is having two kids, a home, and enough income and time to comfortably live. Yesterday I bicycled at a charity event. Blessed to still have parents alive to watch the toddler, and time to do what I couldn’t afford in my youth.
Oh, wow. I was a champion sprinter, and I miss it. Thank you, Father. Obviously this homily speaks to a much broader audience than sprinters, but thank you for the wise words.
Thank you Father Mike may god bless you and us for today❤🙏
Father Mike, this is the second time I’ve tried coming to you to announce my arrival
Thank you Fr Mike . May you have a most blessed day. God Bless. Claire.
Another inspirational homily. Thanks so much
The sermon was perfect and so on point.
Thank you, Fr. Mike, and the Ascension staff!🙏✝️
Nunc Coepi! Asking for prayer God knows my intention!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Joining you now listening to your words and looking up scripture. This homily is so needed in our world. Thank you.
How relevant this is to my daily life right now! I’ve been stuck in a bad mindset but the Lord is waiting for me to renew my call and need for him. Nun coepi! I begin again now!
Thank you Father Mike.

❤Thank you, God bless you 🇨🇦🙏🏻
Timing for this is PERFECT. My 85 y/o father is struggling
Father Richard Rohr has a book called Falling Upward which talks about living out the second part of our lives, our older years. I recommend this book. Found some helpful insights as I am nearing 60, which is crazy because in my head, I am still in my 30s.
I know, sometimes I look in the mirror 🪞 and say, " Who is that old lady? Lol.. Ty for the recommendation. I'm going to find that book. I could use more knowledge and suggestions. Ty and God Bless ❤
Praying for many donations for your new chapel and Newman center. God be with you.

From Michael O’Brien’s Father Elijah:
And the boy said a second time, “Arise and eat, else the journey will be too long for you.”
Elijah arose and ate and drank.
“Why did you leave me?” he croaked.
“I did not leave you.”
“I was alone.”
“You were not alone.”
“I was afraid.”
“You were in great fear where no fear was.”
“Why did you not protect me?”
“The darkest place is where I will give a great light.”
“You could have stopped it.”
“If I had stopped it, there would be no harvest.”
“I understand nothing.”
“That is true. You understand nothing.”
“I am finished. Leave me. I want to die. I know nothing.”
“You know nothing, but you have obeyed.”
“I want to die.”
“Now we can begin.”
Thanks! And Gods blessing to each of you
Thank you 😊
So good. Thank you
Father Mike Schmidt : so awesome that you were at our church Our Lady Of Grace in Edina Mn yesterday: welcome.
You just pressed my button. I'm past my decline. Im ready. ButGod is not ready for me yet. I packed my bags, bought my ticket, I'm at the train depot....but the train has not come yet. But I'm so ready. I do not want to begin again. I want to go home.
I love you ❤!
Thank you!
Amen 🙏 Amen 🙏
🙏🏼
Pray 🙏
🙏
Thanks
This is a tough message Father Mike! 😢 I’m stuck. I’m declining and not able to keep up but I also don’t want to spend my declining years just being present! It is depressing, hopeless and unpurposeful to lower the bar from purposeful production to just accepting decline until I meet my maker.
Don’t feel this way at all! With all due respect, I think this message was depressing and uninspiring, and parts of it were not true. There have been many people who have accomplished tremendous things in their later years of life. Please don’t take this to heart! Even talking with and guiding kids can be a huge comfort to them in this confusing and fallen world!! 🙏🙏🙏
//I was disappointed that there was not a prayer to protect Jewish students on our campuses,

The 79 years average life expectancy of Americans is the result of a comprehensive study includes the Blacks and the Hispanics.., which brought down the average life expectancy of the entire nation considerably.
❤🕊️🩸✨…😊🙏✨
otherwise, I listened to the Master and Margarita's analysis. Originally for YT preview because the author has Mc in his name and I have a certain weakness for the Scottish appearance . I am honestly surprised that anyone managed to read and more, to anayze this our novel. Anyway, the whole idea of Christianity was revealed to me through the Master and Margarita and the Brothers Karamazov at the age of twelve? Earlier? so no wonder I'm a little weird :)
If i may, i'd kindly ask for prayers from everyone, as i start school on May 20th to become a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Prayers for your journey
May God bless you and guide you on your way to a wonderful career!🙏💜✝️
"I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me."😊 How great is American education and the science you will learn that helps your scared patients! I pray the Holy Spirit will abide in you and lead you into your Divine work of healing the sick!🎉
Lord, we your children, ask for your blessings and grace Amen!🙏
God is ALWAYS with you. Physical Therapy helps so many people. God gives us all we need. I pray he lets you feel his presence as you enter your program. Remember you can do and be anything you want . Believe in yourself, know God is with you and you'll be working with your patients before you know it. 😊
Does anyone have contact information they could share for Father?
Google for his email address.
Please pray for a new definition of abortion. No need to lose our loved ones by not providing essential health care. Pray that our young people cultivate empathy into their lives.
lovelyly. pls slow down. Giving me anxiety 😥
Why are so many bishops and priests afraid to stick there necks out and stand up for Jesus Christ and his teachings? God bless the ones who do. Dominus Vobiscum.
You refuse to acknowledge me
Usually your homilies enlighten and uplift me but this one is depressing! You're not innovative after 40??? Bill Gates started Microsoft and that company was considered an "old" company, now it's at the forefront of innovation and the AI revolution. John Williams is like 90 and up until recently was still creating innovative music for movies. Mother Teresa made the biggest impact on the world after 40. Barack Obama was 47 when he became the first Black President! Stan Lee was 40 when he invented Spiderman and that was just the beginning! Sorry Fr. Mike! I refuse the idea that you should accept your rocking chair at 40! Haha!! Or the myth that young people know more. If any of those folks I mentioned believed the myth that you're done at 40, none of their accomplishments they made would've happened. I know you work with younger folks so maybe that amplifies the myth. That myth also pressures young people in their 30s who may feel they're not going to amount to anything because the clock is ticking. Some of the very best things happened in my life in my late 30s and early 40s. Even now, there are parts of my life that are LIGHT YEARS ahead of where I was in my 20s when I truly felt "old" and over the hill. Maybe Mythbusters is gonna call Fr. Mike!
HA damN you made me laugh so hard AI thank god it dependZ
I felt the same exact way after hearing this Homily! I thought it was very depressing and uninspiring. Many people create so many amazing things later in life!! 🙏🙏💖
I like you better when the topic isn't homosexuality and I am compelled to argue.
