Concerning #7, when I was dating my wife we went to a baseball game and we were seated beyond the net. A foul ball came our direction very close to us. I instinctively stood up in front of her and the ball went just out of my reach and hit a seat behind us and bounced back toward her from behind. I reached over and caught the ball with my bare hand. All this happened in the flash of a second. I sat back down and handed her the ball and said getting a baseball at the game was good luck (not true, I just made that up, lol!) She was obviously horrified at what had just transpired and she just stared at me speechless. I was as calm as a cucumber. (I was a baseball catcher in HS.) After she was able to compose herself she told me no one she has ever known in the past would have risked themselves as I did to protect her. Maybe that’s why she married me?

Being an old fashioned (well old anyway) guy it appalls me that men don't protect women whether they know them or not. It's instinct, or so I think, so it had to be ground out of "men" so they don't think to do it. Any culture that does that won't last much longer.

I am sure she cared about you before this incident, BUT if there was any doubt at all, I am sure this solidified it for her! A man that protects others without hesitation (especially the woman he loves and his family but really just anyone) is a huge quality to admire…..and a big turn on! (Not gonna lie) 😂 and I especially love that you made it extra special by giving her the ball and telling her it was ‘lucky’. Not a macho flex but just what you do….awwww I love that. Good job! I am sure your wife’s version of the story is pretty interesting….I can hear it now….and he leapt over with super human strength…..and with his bare hands….. ❤

@@neilreynolds3858 Men stopped protecting women when women started making false accusations again the for it, and getting men arrested, fired, socially isolated for protecting those women. There was a case not long ago where a woman filed a sxual assault case against a man for saving her life using CPR. That one made big headlines, but many others like it never even made it into local news. A woman filed charges against a man who helped her change a flat tire, and the only reason he's not in jail right now is because of his dash camera. There are also many cases of men getting dirt napped by the man they tried to protect a woman from, and then that woman slanders the deceased man on social media, and/or lies to the cops and claims he was actually the assailant. Men are tired of having all the responsibility but getting no respect, and having their rights trampled for women.

Yesterday I read a story about a symposium about the English language where they were discussing the difference between complete and finished.
Then a guy came with this example:
When you marry the RIGHT woman, you can say you are COMPLETE.
When you marry the WRONG woman, you can say you are FINISHED.
When the RIGHT one catches you with the WRONG one, you are COMPLETELY FINISHED.

So spot on Emily! In regards to #5, it always blows my mind how hard my husband is willing to work in order for me to be a SAHM. His work ethic has made it possible for me to witness all of our kids' milestones & be present at every school event. I feel so thankful & humbled that he would do this for me. Ex-wife never appreciated anything. I was mowing the yard with a push mower one day. Hotter than hell. I stopped for a drink, and she took over. After 5 minutes of her mowing, she'd gotten the mower stuck under the low end of the deck, and broke something trying to remove it. Then, yelled me, asking if I was going to "make her mow" all day. I told her get the hell out of the way. And, once while chopping ice out of the driveway, she came up to me and asked why it was taking me so long? I handed her the pick-axe. She took two or three swings and handed it back. Don't criticize, if you can't do shit yourself.

In all my failed relationships, there was one common denominator. A man cannot have a successful relationship with a woman that is still stuck on a prior guy that she had given her heart to and then was dumped. Doesn’t matter how much time has passed, she’s never going to bond with you the way she did with the other guy, so it’s a waste of your time to pursue her.

It lays out the good things as a roadmap.

Are used to have more strength in my hands but since I sprained my finger last year and develop some arthritis, my hand strength is not what it used to be, so I have to get a little creative with white rubber bands, wrapped around the lid or a rubberized oven mitt. Division of labor throughout, each one with their own tasks, divided by interest and skillset, with some tasks shared. One of the best things we ever did. Never had an argument about it. Appreciate the other one always. Say thanks.

Some vets will understand. What used to appall me was when people demanded that I tell them how I felt and when I did they condemned me for not feeling the way they wanted. It's a trap with most people who have no idea what combat is like and what you've seen and done and what it's done to you but that's on them not you. It's been over 50 years but there's still a lot that even the people who are supportive of veterans will never understand and that they've been lied to about. Just trying to tell them the truth can start them on a mental breakdown and trigger layers and layers of defenses. That can happen even to other veterans who had to edit their memories to survive afterwards. It's never going to be easy but you learn to live with it.

I had to explain to her that I’m 11 inches taller than her, nearly twice her mass; so pushing that mower is proportionately lighter for me. 12 years of private schooling and they never taught girls that men are usually bigger and stronger than them is basic biology proven by sports from golf (tees are closer to the greens) and tennis (a male pro seeded between 170-200 slaughtered both Williams sisters in back to back sets. Short kings are physically more capable than tall ladies, beautiful thing is men don't (generally) make it a problem. No man will mind helping out with heavy lifting, as long as you don't nag them for light stuff out of laziness or entitlement. Schools are run by feminasty broads. I know several teachers who are married (to my friends or family members), and they're pretty unhappy about how schools are basically female supremacist indoctrination camps now. Luckily for them, they're all close to retiring. But that's bad for the students. Schools teach "girls can so anything boys can do, but better, and while wearing high heels" kind of crap. I've seen some schools where they have all kinds of "girl power" posters on the walls (and this was 20-30 years ago). Some of those schools have had those posters replaced with the rainbow flag and now those have been replaced with the new trans flag. There are now even medical schools teaching the "social construct" gender garbage. And that's why we have so many violent women these days. They've been taught all their lives that they are just as capable as a man at doing anything, including physically demanding heavy tasks, but men have been told since we were little to never harm a woman. So women now just beat men without repercussions, and if a man defends himself, then he goes to jail. The cops, lawyers, and judges are now all indoctrinated into the Duluth Model during training/university, so it's always the man's fault.

Women would just have to look at world records eg. in athletics to see the truth, but most don´t.

Watching your videos makes me think that you are one of very rare unicorns :D I hope there are some more like you out there. I've already broken up with several women because of recurrent unacceptable behavior. Some of them told me they will love me forever, because I was the first man that constantly stuck to his plans and shew them what boundaries are. Well, this does not help much, when I've lost feelings because of her nonsense-behavior. Life would be much easier if people wouldn't even start to behave inappriopiately.

You really ‘get’ men, and know how we can dovetail with your life and needs. What a rare person you are! Do you have brothers. Is that how you came to know so much about what’s under the hood of a man? It’s not academic study that taught you all that, surely

It is so nice to hear a woman say that you actually LIKE what men are!
Most of these are things men like in other men, and want in the men we associate with. Admiration of these traits, whether by men or women is basically admiration of aspects of manliness and the results of masculine competence.
Several of the traits you mention resonate with classical Stoicism and other ancient traditions that define manly ways of moving in the world.
There is an exception for being romantic and partial exceptions for the deep voice and being childlike. (Men do not care that another guy's voice is deep. However, a high voice in a man can be a little bit off-putting, but is balanced by extreme competence like that of Mike Tyson. The childlike thing translates to the ability to just relax and be fun.)
The “right type of woman” simply acknowledges that she, like the rest of the world, needs strong, competent, zestful manhood.
