They consider V more "handsome" than Chris Hemsworth for example but most western people I know (even some who are Kpop fans or hardcore BTS fans) don't consider V more "handsome" than Chris Hemsworth because Korean style is more of a "pretty boy/flower boy" cute style. I asked this to my Korean friends as well (since I live in Korea) and most of them said Chris Hemsworth was more "handsome" but V was "prettier" and that they would chose V over Chris as their ideal type because they prefer the smaller Korean body type and the flower boy style

I feel like they could've have chosen younger people who are more the same category as the Korean candidates in this video (Shawn being an exception). Idk, I just feel like they chose super manly and old guys, and obviously they don't fit the Korean ideal. People like Timothée Chalamet, Harry Styles, Dylan O'Brien etc. seem like more relevant representatives imo
I'd still choose V over any of them (and Chalamet and O'Brien are overrated, no offense). Furthermore, I don't think the western guys on this list lost due to simply being older; there are Korean men in their 40s who I'd choose over any of the three you just mentioned. It's really a matter of preferring asian aesthetics. Korean guys just have a certain softer aesthetic that western guys lack. Western guys age really fast, they look super manly (almost too masculine) by the time they hit 25 or so, while Korean men remain beardless and have softer, clean features even until they reach middle age.
