22:54 Bob's example didn't do justice to the point he was trying to demonstrate on the issue of textual variance. A more accurate example would be this. If I write an essay in French and wrote this statement as my last statement:
*"Et donc je suis arrivé à la conclusion que tous les auteurs des quatre évangiles ont proclamé la mort et la résurrection de Christ"*
And one person translated the above statement from my essay into English as:
"And therefore I came to the conclusion that all the writers of the four gospels proclaimed the death and resurrection of Christ."
And another person translated the same French statement from my essay as:
"Hence I arrived at the final judgement whereby all the authors of the first four books of the New Testament declared the passing away of the Messiah and Him rising the from the dead"
The two different translations use significant amount of different wording but both translations are absolutely faithful to the original intent and meaning of the French statement being translated into English. This aptly demonstrates what happens to the many different versions of the Bible in the English language. I have had discussions with muslims and they seem to think in a bizarre manner that different versions of the Bible means Bibles with vastly different content and meaning not simply different wording used in the translations of the same Biblical message and theology. I am assuming their religious leaders lied to them about this issue like many other issues to prevent them from getting to the truth of Christianity and the real message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The instructor warns the climbers that they must be watchful and NOT to listen to a different instruction from someone disguised as an instructor, wearing an instructor's orange uniform and instructing them to take the WESTERN route instead. True to the climbing instructor's warning, after 3km the climbers meet a man in an instructor's orange uniform who instructs the exhausted climbers to take the WESTERN route!
Dear Muslim, which instruction will you listen to? The instruction you received at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro or the instruction from the man disguised as an instructor at the 3km point?
So it is with Islam: After the gospel of Christ had been preached, 600 years later a mysterious ANGEL from heaven (disguised as the angel Gabriel of the Bible) appeared to Muhammad the SERVANT of Allah in the cave.
[The mysterious angel never introduced itself to Muhammad as Jibreel. It was Khadijah who CONVINCED Muhammad that this was the real angel Gabriel of the Bible]. According to the warning of the apostles, this angel was in fact Satan disguised as an angel of light.
600 years before Muhammad, the apostles had warned Christians to be watchful of such an angel:
"And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an ANGEL of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as SERVANTS of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will correspond to their deeds."

Just like the instructor at the base of the mountain, the apostles warned Christians 600 years before Muhammad, to be watchful of anyone, even an ANGEL from heaven, who would bring a new gospel of Christ different from the one that was being preached [gospel means good news/message (of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind)]:
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an ANGEL from heaven should preach a gospel different from the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!"

How does this all relate to Christianity and Islam?
CHRISTIANS listen to the instruction from the instructor at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the gospel of Christ taught by Jesus, the disciples and the apostles. They will reach the top of the mountain, which is Heaven.
MUSLIMS listen to the different instruction of the imposter at the 3km point disguised as an instructor. This is the "ANGEL from heaven", "Jibreel", who appeared 600 years later bringing a gospel of Christ (QS 4:157) different from the one preached by Jesus, the disciples and the apostles. The WESTERN route is a death trap and they will not reach the top of the mountain.
Because of the different message of Jesus brought by "Jibreel" which the Muslim has believed from the Qur'an, the Muslim becomes confused and cries "corruption!" when he goes to the Law of Moses (Torah), the Prophets of old and the Gospel to check for harmony with the Qur'an, only to find the following.
• Jesus is not Prophet Isa! Jesus is greater than prophets. The Messiah, the ONE to come, is the Son of God, as revealed by the prophets, starting with Moses in Genesis 49:10, 1 Chronicles 17:11-15, Daniel 7:13-14, Isaiah 9:6.
• Jesus was crucified as prophesied in Isaiah 53
• Jesus is prophetically speaking from the cross in Psalms 22.
• On his return in the end of the age, nations will mourn when Jesus reveals himself as the crucified Lord (Zechariah 12:10).
• The Muslim realizes that the eternal and covenant name of the God of the Torah and Gospel, "the God of Abraham, Isaac and the God of Jacob" (Exodus 3:15) is not one of the 99 names of the 7th century god, Allah.
• The Muslim reads that Islam is ANTICHRIST:
"Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist-denying the Father and the Son."
1 John 2:22.
"The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them."
John 3:35-36
In the Hebrew Old Testament, God prophesizes about his coming and that the world will instantly see him as the God who was crucified:
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they PIERCED. Yes, they will MOURN for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
Zechariah 12:10-11
In the New Testament, it is Jesus who is coming with clouds (600 years later Allah (QS 2:210), also claims to come with the clouds and angels!
“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matthew 24:30-31)
If you believe the lie of Isa coming in the end times to break crosses then, beloved, you will be stunned and you will weep bitterly on that day. You will mourn bitterly because you chose to believe a gospel different to the one Jesus, the disciples and the apostles preached :
"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who PIERCED Him. And all the tribes of the earth will MOURN because of Him. Even so, Amen."
Revelation 1:7
Muhammad did not know where he was going to go but you are blessed to know that you will be SAVED and guaranteed eternity in heaven TODAY, not on the day of Judgment, if you accept the crucified and resurrected Messiah as your savior and do the will of God.

When I read the comments I see oh my Bob did a excellent job he crushed Islam when it's obvious these guys do not understand Islam very well. To be fair sometimes Muslims are talking to Christians who don't know Christianity very well that doesn't mean Christianity was crushed. I listen to the points that I've been made to see who wins a debate especially when both people are qualified. To explain what that verse was talking about is when Islam was a ruling system and the Jews and Christians were allowed to implement their books on their own rulings between themselves so when they were told to go back to what they had and judge by that. And it's very clear in the Quran it tells people to convert to Islam if they want the truth but this particular situation was about a ruling system matter.

Did they refuse the offer of a gift of a Bible each? A shame if they did, and, as Bob mentioned, despite what Islamic Imams tell their congregations, the Jewish Torah and Christian Gospel remain intact and uncorrupted from the time of Muhammad and the centuries that preceded him. If Allah only revealed Torah / Injeel for a specific time / place or they were corrupt this does not make sense. As Quran should be only valid truth at the time. Another problem Allah says why do the Jews come to you.... The Jews rejected Jesus so either Jews would be right Todo so or they would be wrong. Christians and Jews couldn't both be right with God at the same time as beliefs contradict each other? All knowing Allah didn't think that one through.

The Gospels and the book of Acts, as well as the letters written by Paul, can be dated from 15 to 30 years after Jesus died. The Quran by Haffs? How long? And the Hadith were written at least 200 years after Mo died.

It actually makes sense to ask the Jews to follow the Torah because Jesus himself said that he did not come to change the law.
He said that only until everything is accomplished in Matthew 5:18 . On the cross He said in John 19:28 "After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
Actually, Jesus said (Matthew 5:17) “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them.” Jesus fulfilled the Torah and the prophetic writings of the Old Covenant. Part of that was to bring the New Covenant which those prophets had foretold (see e.g. Jeremiah 31). And because the ceremonial and sacrificial law of Old Covenant was fulfilled by Jesus, we learn from it, but do not need to practice it any longer.
It does not make sense for Allah to tell the Jews to follow the Torah and Christians to judge by the Gospel, if he was providing a Quran that supersedes those scriptures.

Until everything was accomplished we were to follow the Law, now everything was accomplished since Jesus was on the cross 2000 years ago we are no longer bound by it.
