When muslims have no intention of listening, as these 2 clearly demonstrated, my advice is to go on offensive and start to take apart the Koran and Hadith. Change tact and make them listen! It’s frustrating when they don’t even attempt to learn. It seemed obvious they were basically there to score cheap points. Bob handled it great tbf. It’s a tough job trying to engage with brick walls.
Agreed ask them bring copies al quran hadith or just download it..just make sure you know which one of it,why it been reveal,or derived arabic word by word..learn arabic at least basic..both in arabic..if unable need to refer tafsir..commentary in your languange eg english..there many way to tackle them..better bring white board bcs the debate will be hot..or surely will revert.

Also about Jesus praying, we know that the cup refers to judgement. So when Jesus asks for the cup to be removed, He is crying for the souls whom He will judge who do not accept.
Salvation(outside the cup). But that’s the only way, which Jesus is conveying to the angelic realm who is watching Him.

So the wine vinegar Jesus has on the cross is the 4th cup which is the final cup which signifies that the sacrifice is complete hence Jesus said that 'it is done'. Need to look deep into Judaism for this one. They (juice) still participate in the passover sacrifice and meal to this day :)

Even though I'm a hindu who's graduated from an catholic run college for Science, the most common questions I see about Christianity from Muslims is that how can there be three gods, no it's not 3 gods it's one god in different manifestation. The prophet, Daniel, supposedly received a supernatural dream in which he saw a tree so tall “its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the ends of the whole earth” (Daniel 4:11). This would be impossible on a globe. Those on the opposite side would never see the tree regardless of how tall it might grow. Moreover, there are no “ends” on a globe.
Do you understand that "to the ends of the earth" can be understood as an analogy or a saying? We still say "going to the ends of the world" or similar things today. And the whole tree is an analogy for King Nebukadnezzar, his power and glory and his subsequent downfall.
So your objection to this verse portraying something unrealistic can be answered with a simple: so what? It was not meant to be scientifically accurate, it´s an analogy. It was in a dream
I have an issue with the argument “Jesus was praying in gethsemane to save him from crucifixion”. The Christian church has always taught that Christ the word of god emptied himself and became human, he dwelt amongst us and died for our sins and was raised by God the father.
Historically speaking this happened in the early 30’s AD. Between the 30’s and the 60’s when the gospels started to be written these beliefs were already in place. It doesn’t make sense regardless of whether you believe or not to interpret the gethsemane narrative as Jesus praying to spare himself from crucifixion. Even if christianity was fabricated the people who authored the gospels would be clever enough to know after 30 years of the religions existence (under intense intellectual scrutiny) not to contradict the gethsemane narrative.
It would be the equivalent of me saying that the Qur’an is misinterpreted by Muslims, Mohammed never wanted us to acknowledge him as prophet. Obviously he did and if a passage seems to suggest otherwise the fault lies with the reader who has failed to understand.
Bro isn't the answer that Christ the Lord became human and engaged with God how humans should, for he was living a perfect human life on our behalf? Jesus praying to God for soverign help was the same as Jesus commanded us "ask the father anythinf in my name" If Jesus didn't pray to his father he wouldn't be living the perfect human life for us. "It is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness" (jesus being baptised)
