    I own a Fat Bob 2019, now i have done 6000 km on it. Yesterday i try a little bit speeding on the Autobahn(High way).
    easy 200 km/h. Sat & Sunday we was riding in czech republic (country roads) lots of curves, this Thing is fantastic and it is just fun to rid it.
    Its everything what i want

    Being 45, and an "old man" I guess, lol, I'd like the:
    1-Heritage
    2-Fatbob
    3-Slim
    As for now, I'll stick with my 2007 Nightster. Love that ride. Thanks again for your video's. After 20 years of being off bikes, your "How to ride" Vids got my confidence back up and got me riding again. And with my low self esteem/confidence, that's saying something. Thanks from Northeast MS.

    I was between the slim and the heritage, ended up with the heritage 114 solely for the price they offered, I practically had to buy it. But that slim is the sexiest bike out of the lot to me. Even at 6 ft 225lbs, it was still comfy. (Except the half skateboard of a stock seat)

    The Heritage all day long. My first ride on a Harley Davidson was a kid and my mom’s boss Mr Phil took me for a ride around town on his Heritage. I always wanted to ride after that day so I definitely associate with that bike.

    The Slim is a great bike. I have one and the stock seat does suck. Added a Mustang seat and now it’s good for all day rides. I did think I would like footboards but now I love them. Going from a 2016 XL1200C to the Slim was easy transition. Slim, Heritage then the Fat Bob.

    im 5 foot 4-- i got a 2019 softail slim and its perfect for shorter riders! i did put the harley 1 and 3/4 risers in it tho and kept the stock bars.( w/ a little wiring finess i didnt even need the extension kit) so far i only have a 2 bros 2 into 1 exhaust fp3 tuner and a big sucker on it and about 4k miles. i would def say the seat is lacking-needs a little bit more lip on the back to prevent sliding back. going to try the fatbob seat and see if that corrects the issue.

  • @CraigSmith568
    @CraigSmith568 Před 4 lety

    I have the Heritage 114 and I love it. I love that the windshield comes off in about 2 seconds and the bags come off with two bolts each. Unlike a touring bike the Heritage looks good without the bags and windshield. Basically it is a blacked out Deluxe. The Slim is nice, but it is more of a Deluxe with a bobber style to it. The stock seat on it is terrible though. I like the floorboards because I move my feet around on them. I don't leave them in one spot. Also why I don't like a heel shifter because it locks your feet in one spot. I would like to ride the FatBob though and see what it is like.

    I just demo'd all 3 of those.
    1. Slim had the nicest throttle response, but the worst suspension and ergonomics. Seat is way too low.
    2. Fatbob is a really nice riding bike, but it was warm this weekend and the bikes had been ridden several times before I got on it, so I learned on this ride that its exhaust kisses my leg and gets really warm.
    3. Heritage is hands down the best Softie they make. It's looks don't do a thing for me, but it flat works.

    It really depends on you and how comfortable you are at being less comfortable. You can make it comfortable enough to do long rides for sure. Also because they’re lighter and smaller. If you get somewhere with windy roads they’ll handle better. I have a street glide special. But if I had to pick a bike to customize and do touring. I’d go with the road king. It has the best handling of the touring bikes and you can take the windshield off so making the bike yours has a lot more options imo.

    FYI at 9:30 you mention not enough room between the floorboards and shifter. You can actually raise or lower the angle/height of the shifter based on the size of your feet and where they land on the floorboards. I thought the same thing when I sat on it but the salesperson told me you have to adjust them up or down per your physical attributes... lol

  • @mrvwbug4423
    @mrvwbug4423 Před 4 lety

    I actually found the Fat bob to be really comfortable, and I'm about the same size as Block. The seat on it is way more comfortable than you would expect. If I was going to build a touring bike out of any of the new Softails, probably the Sport Glide or a Low Rider S but converted to forward controls, the Heritage is nearly perfect out of the box, but too much old man vibe there. The Fat Bob is comfortable enough, at least for me, but that 3.5 gallon tank is a deal breaker

    Shawn Smoak got me liking the Slim and I really like the style. His bars and bike overall seems to look better in the denim black which I like better. #2 you can't go wrong with the classic styling of the Heritage. So that leaves The Fatbob which would just need to many changes to make it right for my taste. 😎✌

    I really like the Fat Bob, but it's just waaaaay too expensive. I got a triumph bobber for half the price and have zero complaints.

    I don't think Anna has liked any bike she has test rode yet? Lol
    Blockhead you might want to look at the Road King Special? I know it's a bagger but just barely.
