Great vid. Gaz really does have a way about him that makes for a very watchable video, whether it's a tutorial or an interview like this. Good flow and it comes across that he's genuinely as interested about it as we (the subsequent viewers) are. Keep them coming!.
Great to see the wonder that is Beardyman interveiwed in the enthusiastic style of Gaz Williams, a GREAT combination. I bet you were itching to have a go on all that tech Gaz :-)
What a great vid! I found that first 909 pretty spot on btw... too bad he didn't try making an 808 kick to round that up. What a great guy! Hope he watches out for himself so that he doesn't become "Busyman".

Thank you Sonicstate for this very nice interview. 909 - 808 nice one Gaz! :)
the release of the MPC Live got me very hopeful for the first portable DAW/live looper... but i had the chance to try it out and it still has SO MANY LIMITATIONS and bugs... the fact that the live is an OS by itself does mean the software/hardware could be upgraded over time but seeing as Akai has such a terrible customer service I can't imagine a proper "LIVE" DAW coming out any time soon. Also because Akai chose to release the LIVE and X without REALLY finishing the products, it remains to be seen if it'll become popular enough for other companies to keep building further on the idea of standalone/portable workstations... Autechre and Beardyman are to my knowledge the only ones in the game that are successfully pulling of live electronic music improvisation. It's my dream to one day get to that point and be able to have the means to create music anywhere without any filter! let's keep our fingers crossed for these guys to share their knowledge with us ;) much respect!!!
I've read that he had plans on releasing the looper to the public. Do you know any details on this? His last ETA was 2014 for bringing it to the public but I haven't seen anything recently.

Amazing! Beardy's gear savviness is just as impressive as his beatboxing.
About VoiceLive: "You beatbox into their preamps, they tend to explode"
can you do an 808 vs a 909. gaz you are the man~!
A legendary musician

Yep. Its official......I know nothing. What a set up !
Beardyman is the greatest!
I'd love to hear more about the software that someone made for himself specifically. It's insane
I heard him say in a newer video that he also programs for himself.
OK that was pretty darned interesting..
iConnectivity is a company you should look at if you're using iPads or phones
When he says "bespoke" he means they are custom? but within Touch OSC as a layout editor..
@beardyman helps the set up ..every artist should do that..every.
What is that software he mentions for the first iPad?? lyma? lima? limer?
Lemur. visit liine.net
I find your lack of facial hair disturbing
+saltygrasshopper Good point. He should be 5 O'clock Shadowyman
What are those iPad stands?
dope
What were the things he used to connect his iPads? Grifty Nuetals?
What the hell....😳😳😳
This is crazy shit!
😭😫
I would love to understand everything....😞
What does he use for looping?
+Tom Wilson A completely custom written bit of software like much of his rig.
I've read that he had plans on releasing the looper to the public. Do you know any details on this? His last ETA was 2014 for bringing it to the public but I haven't seen anything recently.
Hmm...
Beardyman is awsome I loved him using hardware...not fond of ipads
