"Can you find the wolves in this picture?"
Effing chills bro...
Just the rage that shot incites because you KNOW they’re monsters and you KNOW they’re gonna get away with what they do
Crazy fact is the real wolves in the story is DiCaprio an Deniros characters and both not in that shot
Asking us the audience while focusing on that group builds so much fear.
After years of teasing, we're finally getting DiCaprio and DeNiro together in a Scorcese movie, and not just a commercial
This trailer deserves an Oscar.
The nine-minute standing ovation at Cannes brought me here.
I only respond to standing ovations of 10 minutes or more. Didn't watch.
@@BeachBumZero 😊
Actually, the ovations lasted more than 20 minutes!
@@silviuc.5551 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
9 mins is actually not that good for a cannes ovation
So happy Brendan Fraser is getting back out there!
God, he was at his apex in 2006-2008 in my childhood movies.
YES, I am so sick of Marvel and Disney taking over theaters. It is a big part of the reason I stopped going to see movies because it was the same thing OVER AND OVER again.
I am so glad Natives are being recognized and appreciated through film. Our history needs to be told, and for Scorsese to do it says A LOT! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Weird way to praise this by hating on Marvel. Plenty of movies make bank besides them
It’s the same in every part of the world ,, the action non sense is taking over theatres everywhere while stories like these are not shown
Because they are boring af Leo is a terrible actor this looks so boring imo. Plus Leo kissing a woman over 25 that’s not realistic at all 😂.
A lot of marvel movies are ass, but I’d recommend checking out the newest guardians of the galaxy 3, I was actually really surprised at how good it was, had a really strong narrative
1923 slapped you in the face with the mistreatment of the native Americans during that time now this movie being a true story , will tell it even more and it needs to be talked about even more.
Now that's a movie that I will gladly pay over-inflated ticket & popcorn prices to watch in a regular cinema hall
Scorsese making Jessie Plemons a house hold name and one of the best supporting actors going right now. Dude was great in Black Mass, too
He is in another phenomenal psychological drama set in the West - The Power of the Dog (along with his wife Kirsten Dunst, and Benedict Cumberbatch). The actor who played the son stole the show though. What a mindbending film
Jessie is a great actor.
Finally, a good film with mature actors.
True bro
Finally a movie coming to theatres for the discerning adult who aren't interested in pre-teen and pubescent superhero crap.
That’s a pretty bad generalisation. I’m 16 and have read the book, and now I plan to watch the film.
As someone who is also excited for this movie, you shouldn't have to trash on other notable films just for the sake of hyping this one up.
@@shiny_charm This is my opinion and mine alone. You don't like it? Well then tough titties there is the door, don't let it knock you on the way out!
Nah I’m with this guy 100%. I’m beyond sick and tired of the Superhero genre. Time for a change and this is a great direction!
@@shiny_charm well, people have been hyping up the wrong genres for way too long
Lily and leo deserves multiple awards for this and the captain Mr Scorsese. I can tell by the trailer first 7 secs this movie is going to inspire and move millions
I’m 72 and have watched many a trailer but this one gave me a lump in my throat. Deadwood comes to mind. Can’t wait!!
Probably but let’s not be giving out all the awards until we actually see the film lol
100 years isn't that long in terms of human history and the constant betrayal towards the native Americans is just gross
Your history is fake Hollywood history.
Read something from written in the time the pure natives were steaking settler women after raping their children in front of them.
Definitely looks like a good movie to see when it comes out. (I like movies based on true historical stories as watching them is both educative and entertaining. I also have no problem with long duration movies if the plot, acting, cinematography and pacing are good.). 🤩 P.S. This is also a good trailer because it doesn't reveal too much of the plot.
Movies are not educational. They should pique your curiosity to explore and educate yourself on the topic. 99% of this film is fictional. The drama portrayed by film industries simply did not exist in these stories, they were just people living their daily lives. Hindsight changes everything.
Exactly. It's just tension building. The art of a trailer is a real thing. So many movies miss the mark (mcu I'm looking at u) even dc lol I know 75% of the flash movie by the 4 trailers released. They spoiled very impactful moments
The true crime book it’s based on is absolutely fascinating
Never educate yourself from movies..you do yourself a disfavor..
Robert De Niro ruins films
Got goosebumps!! Looking forward to watching this! And finally a real movie to look forward too! So good to see Leo and all the other familiar faces again
“Can you find the wolves in this picture?”
Looks like audiences are finally getting a quality movie again
Leo's face at 1:21 should be a meme material
Oppenheimer vs Killers of the Flower Moon, Nolan vs Scorsese, Cillian Murphy vs Leonardo. The battle for the Oscars will be legendary
No offense to those hyped for Oppenheimer but that movie seems like clear cookie cutter Oscar bait killers of the flower moon looks just good
Oppenheimer isn’t cookie cutter Oscar bait, it’s a movie based on the life of Robert Oppenheimer one of the most important individuals in history. Both Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon are going to be fantastic films by two great directors, filled with basically anyone who’s anyone in Hollywood
@@andrewverdon8711 you do know biographical and historical movies aren’t automatically good because they cover the story of a historical figure? How many bad biographical films have we gotten since the 2000s we had that queen movie and Nolan isn’t on the best leg right now after tenet
@@OfficialDjTalksick Couldn't have said it better myself
Martin scorsese for the win!
Just read the book last week on vacation. Riveting story that I’m very glad is being brought to big screen by someone like Scorsese.

The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson is very good. If you liked this style of book, you'd really enjoy it! 💗

Ahhh a movie for a viewer, not a consumer! There is hope
I've watched this trailer five times now.
This film will sweep the academy awards .. and it will be historical because I guarantee the best actress will go to the 1st American Indian Actress #lilygladstone .. this is the year of the INDIGENOUS ACTORS
But. Sacheen Littlefeather won best actor in 1973..

Shouldn't the movie win based on its merit as a great movie... Not because of your bias towards POC...

I CANNOT STOP WATCHING THIS AMAZING TRAILER!!!!!!
Wow!!! What a strange coincidence. I come across a Joe Rogen video about 2 months ago talking about Empire of the Summer Moon and the Comanche Indians. It peaked my curiosity so I bought the book off Amazon and just finished reading it a few weeks ago.
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!
One of the best books I’ve read in YEARS!!! The history of Texas, the Texas Rangers, and Cynthia Ann Parker and the Comanches is truly of the most fascinating stories in American history.
So I thought to myself. My GOD they need to make a movie about this book!
Two weeks later I see this trailer. Now I KNOW it’s a completely different tale. That it focuses on the unjust killing of the Osage Indians in the 1920’s after oil was discovered on their land.
But the fact that this movie is being made and at this level of quality and production gives me hope that hopefully soon in the near future we’ll get an Empire of the Summer Moon adaptation.
I live in Aurora, Colorado and recently I’ve been taking drives far out East, just soaking in the land the Natives and Buffaloes use to roam freely. Just incredible.
I bet I could read any of your other reviews or commentary on art and I’d probably thoroughly enjoy them. Your passion and style, combined with occasional the full on CAPS is… *chef’s kiss* 🤌😂
I don't want to disappoint you too much, but Empire of the Summer Moon is about the Comanche. This is Killers of the Flower Moon, about the Osage.
@@paulm3952 I acknowledged that in my post. I’m fully aware that they are two different events. I just see an new emergence and interest in Native American history and Empire of the Summer Moon along with Killers of the Flower Moon are both books being talked about with a lot of buzz surrounding it.
@@AT-yg4nk Ah. Missed that.
This is an awesome comment! I LOVED KotFM so much - I'm delighted to get the recommendation for Empire if the Summer Moon. It looks incredible. Cheers from Ireland ☘️💗
“Can you find the wolves in this picture.” got chilly

Read the book.
Recently spent time in Pawhuska. Went to The Water Bird Gallery and bought my copy of Killers of the Flower Moon signed by the author David Grann. Fascinating untold history, can’t put it down! Chilling. Anxiously awaiting the movie. I just want to say I am so sorry to the proud Osage Indians😢
Leonardo doesn’t make bad movies.
Martin Scorsese*, Don’t Look Up was pretty bad

@@redrapskin1056I found that movie was actually good though and don’t hate on me for it. I found it’s story very interesting and the movie was funny as hell. Leo did outstanding in it and was hilarious.
J. Edgar and Shutter Island were terrible so dragged out and boring. And inception… just straight up awful.
You know it’s going to be so good! Finally a film I might think about watching at the cinema
Oppenhaimer is another one worth it watching at the cinema this year
100%, also 'Oppenheimer,' 'Napoleon,' 'The Killer,' 'Ferrari' and my popcorn movie of the year will probably be 'M:I-7' (I would've said 'Indiana Jones 5' but the Mission films are known for doing what the Indiana Jones films used to be a big drawing point for - practical stunts, which means it will be thrilling to watch like most popcorn blockbusters from '85 - '08) - what a time to be living in where we still have new works from Nolan, Scorsese, Fincher, Mann and Ridley Scott keeping cinema alive all in the same year so very excited for those. I haven't mentioned 'Dune: Part 2' because although the first one was visually stunning, it failed to make me care about the story or any of the characters in it.
@@thetalentof Across the spider-verse is also going crazy rn
We had many quality blockbuster like John Wick 4, GOTG3 and Spiderman across verse in this year. Hope we will get quality movies from iconic directors like Oppenheiner, Napoleon, Killer, Ferrari and this
