- Well the time has finally come, when I can say that the ST220 rear end chassis is one step closer to paint. The Vactan Rust Converter treatment is finally under way and its feels like it has taken ages doing this, but my dad once said to me that if a job is getting tedious then your doing it properly. Next Step is to do some Seam sealer and then painting can begin.

I just want to thank you from France.
I could do a lot of reparations on my 2005 Mondeo 2.2 TDCI titanimun X (ST style);
I replace the radiator, driveshafts, front roll bar supports...and your videos were a very good support and helpfull.
So thanks a lot, you do a great job under a car, but an another one as much great to filming your job, cut it, and upload it on youtube.
The time that i spent under my car let me thinking that Ford do a great car, not so hard to repare,and a solid one which can pass 20 years without rust (for mine)

Got my subframe back on and car rolling again after doing mine.
Found the worst bit was under the mounts for the trailing arms.
Can I advise that you do a test piece with the Etch Primer before fully applying.
I was using Halfords Etch Primer directly over the Vactan and had no issues. I then ran out of this so ordered a few tins of U-Pol Etch Primer, as its good stuff.
I used this on the other side of the car the following week. When I went back at a later stage to apply paint, I found that the U-Pol had reacted, so had to rub it back down.

Top work Chazz! I know how you feel but keep going. What primer/top coat you gunna use? Id recommend cavity waxing whn you're done painting 👍
