We did this upgrade a few months ago. Very easy to do and worth the money. It’s nice to be able to see at night.
Thanks for watching! Such a novel idea to be able to see at night right? 🤣 Definitely a great upgrade.
That shadow is brutal
It sure was! We're so much happier with the lights now. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the heads up on headlights guys 🤍
Thank you for watching!
Well done - thank you .
Thanks and thank you for watching!
Excellent video. Well done. I will be doing this mod soon.
Thanks for watching - glad it was helpful. You will be happy with the upgrade - they are so much better than the stock lights!
Crap I need an adapter! Ugh! I bought Silver Holder LED conversion kit and they don’t lock in. Just ordered the adapters. Hopefully won’t need to modify too much. Great video!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully it works smoothly for you from here.
I read that a problem with this type of LED conversion is that the headlight housing is not designed for LED's (the reflectors inside it, etc) and you end up with light that inevitably blinds oncoming traffic.
Thanks for watching. We did not have an issue with that. There is a height/angle adjustment screw to aim them properly.
I replaced mine with LEDs early on. Didn't have an adaptor nor did I glue them on. The brights are fantastic. the low isn't as bright as I hoped for though. Which means its a promaster issue and not the bulb since all the bulbs are identical. My other problem is I my passenger side low beam will come loose occasionally from its housing and cut down its effectiveness. I don't know why since the driver side doesn't have that problem.
Thanks for watching! Which lights were you able to put in without "glue" and how did you do it. I was under the impression that it didn't work so I never went for it......but it sounds like you found a solution. I have a feeling that the light diffuser on the low beam is really the issue. Makes me wonder if really bright low lights would be good. We're stoked with this upgrade and it made it great for us. We finally don't mind driving at night. I'm not sure why I waited so long to do anything about it.
@@DrifterJourney I replied but it has a link so its either lost in space or stuck in your approval folder. also, mine is a 2021 so that will be different
I didn't know that I have an approval folder.....🤣
@@DrifterJourney in your youtube studios stuff. I was trapped in there before when I post a link to our channel that we quit on :)
@@hywaywolf I'll have to take a look.
Where can I buy this kit
Thanks for watching. They don't seem to be on Amazon currently but here is a direct link to the website. openglass.store/
Where do you buy it does it fit 2023 ProMaster.?
Sold by Open Glass Van Mods - not sure if it fits the 2023, but you can contact them to find out! openglass.store/pages/contact
Thank you
Hey where do you get adapter? And $$$
Hi and thank you for watching. It is in the video description. I pasted it again here for you. openglass.store/products/complete-h7-led-headlight-conversion-kit-dodge-promaster
I would encourage potential buyers of this product to look elsewhere.
When I ordered this product it came with missing pieces and the pieces that it did come with were scratched. Clearly used.
About one month in and even though the installation was perfect according to the instructions the headlights are flickering and going out.
The product was recently De-listed from Amazon from similar complaints and if you want to save time and headache I suggest going elsewhere .
Thanks for sharing. We never had that issue personally but would have been bummed out if it did happen. Where did you purchase them? I ask because I wonder if the scratches were because you received a set that someone returned on Amazon and said "new". Hopefully there isn't a quality issue with the lights being used and that it was just a bad batch. I'm sure we'll hear more if folks keep having this problem.
Hi there, I am the owner of OpenGlass Van Mods. This was an unfortunate result of Amazon accidentally sending you a returned kit as new. Very sorry about that. Happy to rectify the situation if you're open to it.
Looks like those are HALOGEN reflector housings, designed for a bulb that outputs 360°, not 220° like a LED. Thanks for blinding everyone on the road and being incredibly selfish 🙄🤦♂️
Thanks for watching! I'm no reflector housing expert but I do know that I followed the directions and aimed the beam to the level that was suggested. The lights worked great and we didn't have anybody flashing us so I'm guessing it wasn't causing an issue. The same can't be said for our stock LEDs on our new truck. People seem to be flashing us all the time.
