I have the privilege of meeting DMX in 2013 as airport security in Miami. I cannot tell you how humble and cool this dude was. He was very skinny when I met him and told me he was headed to rehab at that time. I told him how awesome it was him working with jet li and 50 cent. He was one of my idol...a superstar.

DMX is one of the most vulnerable artists I've ever heard. Brutal honesty. Even when it doesn't paint him in the best light. 2pac was the only other artist that I think about that was like that. Fears ,pain,joy anger etc. They rapped about life not just a lifestyle. When I see DMX and watch his interviews no matter how grimey or aggressive he comes across he's always sincere. Almost child like at times. Just my observation.
