    The noise or rattle you’re hearing at about 2200 rpm is from the butterfly valve in the power control valve on the other end of the plenum.

      Can you change that out or is it built in the plenum

  • @mrdev5281

    Let it be known this would have been a good time to change the hard to access spark-plugs on the passenger side, as 1 is almost impossible without doing this process.

    250k miles.Started missing on cyllinder 1. Replaced coil. Then missing on cyllinder 4.
    Replace all coils,all spark plugs, all vaccuum lines, all Intake gaskets, and throttle body gaskets and PCV valve. Then no power above 40mph and NO power when going up hill ect. and random misfire code. Removed insides of catalytic converters (which were definitely plugged) and replaced VVT solenoids and replaced both front O2 sensors and cleaned MAP sensor.. STILL no power above 40mph and still random misfires. What is there the replace next? I plan to replace spark plugs once more though for good measure.

    • @zash008
      @zash008 Před 4 lety

      @@hifiman4562 i am thinking fuel pump or maybe timing jumped a tooth when i was pushing the truck hard when catalist were plugged which was causing so much back pressure it was pushing oil out of every seal and really holding the engine back so much causing jump in time. OR new plugs are so fouled because i replaced plugs first not knowing at the time catalist were plugged which in turn was causing so much back pressure fouled the plugs badly and now thats my issue. Im gonna change plugs again and drive it and go get the fuel pressure checked and go from there. Before all this the truck never used any oil even with such high mileage.

      @@ericnazario8350 truck never again had power under a much load (accelerating above 50mph or going uphill). Although it ran smooth as brand new after I replaced all the parts I mentioned. I concluded after all I did that It likely was the torque converter. I decided to sell it instead of spending the cash on replacing torque converter and risking finding out that the torque converter may still not be the issue. I informed the buyer of everything I replaced while trying to fix it. He kept the truck for a month and sold it. It appears he also could not fix it.
      I bought a 2018 Ram 4x4 5.7L Hemi. The Ram has unbelievably more power than the Nissan Frontier and also I am getting over 20mpg!
