The Iki, opens/closes bassed on your spooling.
If you watch when to shoot something it will open. Also it will open more and more to a max when it get to max spool

Hi Benzie, I started living in a wormhole due to the "nomads tale" yt series And your series on wormholes is helping me a lot.
I have been trying to hunt players coming in and got my first pvp kill while recruiting them to live with me. Now I'm trying to get a fleet of triglavian ships to kill some structures and those videos are a godsend 🙏

If you keep your dscan/probe launcher map open you can hear an audible difference when something new pops up on dscan. This helps me tremendously when im trying to multi task. And when im huffing gas and watching netflix. 😊

Sorry to dredge up this old comment but how does this work? I've always wondered how people seem to psychically know when I land cloaked (and don't get decloaked) on their grid. I've tried to search for info but the closest I could find was something about turning up a specific audio setting.
@@TheLime-wd3yu it's as the comment says, of D-Scan is open and your SFX are high enough, you hear a warp noise when they land. It's subtle, but it is there apparently though I've not tested.
@@captainbenzie which sound setting / what does it sound like? My audio settings are pretty standard except for disabling in-game music
@@TheLime-wd3yu honestly, I think that's all you need, just to be able to hear your ship sounds clearly
I highly recommend trying out meson ammo, especially for frigates since even though it is T1 ammo and lower damage, it also has the best tracking and highest range if I am remembering correct, I rat quite a bit in the iki, not the most optimal ship for the job but it is the most fun to be in for me and looks quite cool :> not to mention anyone in their right mind would think twice before trying to drop on an iki

Agreed I always use Meson ammo for the frigates as it has great tracking and impressive range. The damage ramping brings it up to par quite quickly. Occult of course for battleships up close and Mystic for cruisers. I ❤love❤ this ship in abyss and for wormhole sites too

The tracking is the same with all T1 ammo, just the ranges change. You are right on there, meson has the longest

I run multiboxed Leshaks for C5 sites. Meson is amazing ammo against the Cruisers for the battleship guns, try Meson against the frigates, or just let your drones deal with them.

Do you think you might be able to start including the other anomalies in these videos other than Fortification Frontier Stronghold? I've come to the realisation recently that while FFS is the "best" and easiest site, they're typically in limited supply. We don't necessarily need a full demonstration of them, but perhaps a little attention to how the ships hold up in other anomalies also wouldn't go amiss?
A ship that can handle all four comfortably and at decent speed might be more desirable than one that sets records on FFS, because it opens up more opportunities to make isk with less overhead effort dedicated to securing a wormhole.
I do usually talk about which sites a ship can and cannot run during the combat section, only showing the FFS to stop the video being an hour long, and to give clear comparisons. That said, I will be showing more too! Recently showed the Solar Cell in the Tengu video, for example!
I believe when the ship is unfolding, its visually showing that the weapons are spooling.
Possibly, but then why does it fold up whilst still shooting?
i believe the ship opens up when it starts to spin up, opening more and more as it spins up.

If you use you use armour tanked drones and you have a utility slot free, then it is also worth taking a small remote armour rep - a little repair between fights is always a good thing

Hey Cap I was wandering why you were running the nosferatus, because they didn't give you any cap back. So was it because you didn't know that the cap needs to be very low for them to kick in or is it for another reason that I ignore?
Nosferatu's only drain if your capacitor is lower than theirs, so yes, it's mostly used when your cap gets lower. Good practice to apply it early though ☺️

hows that ikitursa has less dps than drek?! I mean I dont have skills for iki but i have used drek, and pyfa sais iki has a up tp 1400 dps while dreks about 900? is the spooling time the problem or what?! I really expected iki to be much faster
The Ikitursa has a higher DPS ceiling but considerably slower spool

The spool breaks when the ship loses either lock or weapon range, so they're actually quite vulnerable to EWAR. Tracking disruptors can mess with either their tracking or optimal range depending on the range, or in small gang an ECM ship can completely shut them down by breaking lock every 30 seconds.
Wont tracking disrupt just make them miss, but not interrupt spooling? Whereas ECM and SD will break lock, resetting the spool.
Can ecm jam this ship and make it lose its targeting ?

I noticed you use two cap batteries. Using one battery and one cap charger will give you better results and is cheaper.
Cap batteries also have the Neut Resistance. Cap Rechargers do not have this.
What would be the best smart bomb to use against a Nergal in pvp?

most trig ships have a kinetic resist hole, do with that what you will ;)
For the First time I will disagree with Captain Benzie. I exchanged one repairer for a radiation sink. I can run all C3 Combat sites faster than a Drek where as a Drekavac can ONLY do Frontier sites. Yes, the Drek is half as much as an Ikitursa, so there is that. But, if you have a Corp that runs through the Frontier sites and leaves the Outposts and Solar Cells alone, well.... The Ikitursa can do it where a Drekavac cannot. Additionally, I can fit for pvp and still do Frontier Sites waiting for someone to try and fight me.
What drones do you run? And would you link your fit?

@ottomcannick7698 I don't use pyfa, but I usually use Hammerheads. The only real difference is changing one of the low slot repairers to a radiation sink. I also use the T2 turret and have HAC V

Dunno for C5 or C6 ( when capital size can fly ...way beter ofc ) but Ikitursa can cost Up to Fully fitted Titan lol and when put on her High-Grade Omega clone Mimesis , give her Zorya's look"" like ... some x4 Abbys rolled to >damage only ! Try get Rolled Yourself !!!! Officer rank ! ( officer tank+rep) = GG wp .....mini Dread more than 4k dps . ..15k+ volleys...at max spool can and Do wreckings up to 45-65k .. Great Video !!!

It's probably optimal because it triggers at 25 sometimes

So innacurate video... , i recomend fully research and use the ship for some time before making preview about it.
You miss the point of the video. I'm not giving some kind of official "review" here. More "I used this for a week, and here's what I found". My videos aren't full on tutorials, more "I'm having fun, here's how you can too".
I'm open to learning more about the ships and showcasing my updated knowledge. Perhaps, rather than a trite comment, you could offer some advice on how you'd fit it and fly it? I'm just finishing up Heavy Assault Cruiser 5
