17:15 we used to do that on our old Bissell Velocity Dual Cyclonic, then our old Dirt Devil Vision Cyclonic, our recently retired Dyson DC 24, my previous Bissell Powerforce Helix Turbo, & I haven’t really done it on my Clarke CarpetMaster 112 in years, nor have I ever done it on my Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Lift Off, & I barely use it on our Bissell Cleanview One Pass (my family uses that one)

I’m pretty sure it’s not him slightly muting it, I think it’s his microphone volume hitting its peak level and turning itself down automatically to prevent distortion.
On that dyson, i think they never cleaned the filters! Thats why is probably burned out and surprisingly it kinda startled me!! Lol

I recently got a dyson dc33 from someone's trash, it literally had a bottle cap clogging the hose, I checked the trash cans for any extra attachments and found out it was actually a recently refurbished vacuum as the box was in the recycling bin.

The old one is a motor burn out Dyson dc33 blue vacuum cleaner
It could be drywall dust or liquid maybe, vacuum cleaners do not like that stuff.

The dc33 burnout was unexpected I heard when you plugged it in was R͟R͟R͟R͟ (completely burns out) my vaccum is a Bissell powerforce helix its very dirty and even I used it for my first time it smoked. I don’t know why it did that it was just because the belt needed a replacement and we waited and didn’t replace it and a month after it went back to normal and worked again.
My dc14 full kit is a 2005 model. I’ve replaced the hepa filter because was clogged/black and smelled when I got it. Only things it needs now is a new hose and wand/handle assembly because both cord hooks are broken. I took the clutch apart and replaced the belts and got a new brush roll.

What type of motor do the early (non ball type Dysons use in the us) I’ve heard it’s a Panasonic one which seem to be a lot more reliable than the ones we got in the uk called the YDK type. One final question can you get cheap non genuine motors for the us early upright dysons like we can in the uk for about 20 dollars
