  • Welcome aboard, food enthusiasts! Join us, Michael and Laura Melton from Melton's on the Move, on an epicurean voyage to Faidley Seafood, a culinary institution steeped in history and revered for its unwavering commitment to excellence. Nestled in the heart of Baltimore's bustling Lexington Market, Faidley's stands as a testament to four generations of culinary mastery, tracing its roots back to 1886 when founder John W. Faidley, Sr. first began his journey.
Today, under the stewardship of Bill and Nancy Devine, descendants of the illustrious Faidley lineage, this iconic seafood haven continues to dazzle palates with its unparalleled offerings. From the moment you step through its doors, you're enveloped in the rich tapestry of tradition and innovation that defines Faidley's ethos.
But it's not just the storied past that sets Faidley's apart; it's the relentless pursuit of perfection in every culinary creation, especially their crown jewel - the award-winning lump crab cakes. Renowned far and wide, these succulent morsels of oceanic delight have garnered acclaim from near and far, becoming synonymous with the very essence of Maryland's culinary identity.
Beyond its delectable fare, Faidley's has become a cultural ambassador, spreading the joy of Maryland-style crab feasts to the far reaches of the globe. From intimate gatherings to grand events, Faidley's has left an indelible mark on the culinary landscape, even crafting crab cakes for the esteemed crew of the United States Space Shuttle.
As we navigate through the bustling aisles of Faidley's marketplace, we're not just indulging in seafood; we're immersing ourselves in a living, breathing testament to the enduring spirit of entrepreneurship and passion. And with each bite of their famed lump crab cakes, we're reminded why Faidley's holds a special place in the hearts of food connoisseurs everywhere.

@@nurlagrande The Lexington Market is a good place to start. There are a few other places with seafood also. Unfortunately, we only had one day in Balitmore on our way to Philly for a video shoot for the company Michael works for.

@@nurlagrande Understandable the media make us out to be a lot more dangerous than what we really are. We have gone to Chicago, Philly, Atlanta, and Balitmore, D.C., and New Orleans this past year. Burbon Street in New Orleans is the only place I felt uncomfortable. As always when going to big cities know your surrounding at all times and you will be fine.
