Thank you! Those bonus eats sounds so good!!
MY CITYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Welcome to Baltimore Mark!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!
You missed coddies. A fish cake between two saltines with mustard. Delicious!
Goetzs candy I believe is made in Baltimore that's why it's always so fresh there. My great grandfather worked at Goetzs candy his whole life.
Natty Boh is no longer brewed in MD, and the Orioles stopped selling it at the Park in like 2016 (or if it’s there, it is not nearly as ubiquitous as it once was, and the big orange cans are nowhere to be found). It was quite a scandal, and it remains a sore point with me. Still, it’s the best ballpark experience in MLB, and the young team is super-fun to watch. We also put our state flag on everything.
Chesapeake Bloody Marys are the best thing ever. I live in Ireland 7 months of the year. Old Bay is essential, sooo good on chunky chips with vinegar.
So much crabs 🦀! I’m going there soon for my job. Thanks guys. We should collaborate one day!
You were down the road from us.... heading back to Germany in 3 weeks.
I'm going to add two things you did not mention that are awesome and unique about Baltimore and Maryland
Lake Trout smothered in brown gravy or Momo sauce on a wheat roll. You can find in the Bodegas in Baltimore.
Steamers.....which are the Maryland version of sloppy joes on a toasted bun.
Also.....A must visit is Ellicott City, which is one of the most beautiful small towns in the entire country. It's 25 mins outa Fells point
You should try the Old Bay beer from Flying Dog Brewing. It is better than it sounds.
Frederick native and Dead Float is a fine beer. 😊
YES to Berger Cookies!
Another thing to watch out for is imported crab. There are unscrupulous restaurants that sell gulf crabs from Texas or Louisiana as "Maryland style" but charge premium prices... Check out Maryland's Tru Blue Program as well.
Pioneer Pit Beef is awesome with tiger sauce... 🤤
For beers, I like Flying Dog Bloodlines (blood orange) and Big Truck Farm's Half Cab hazy IPA... both are Maryland breweries.
There is also a Guinness brewery though I heard they were shutting down their main brewing and only keeping the restaurant, tap house, and a small experimental barrel house. (BOOOooo!)
The Glory Days Bar and Grille near me serves honey old bay wings… I still can’t get over how good they are with blue cheese❤
Crab soup on the Board Walk with Beer and Full on Steamed Crabs !
Miss the crab. Crab soup and crabcakes are a must. Annapolis is highly recommended. Eastport Kitchen is a wonderful place for food and Adam's Tap House & Grille in Eastport is great for Crabcakes and ribs. You'll see MD style crabcakes outside of MD, don't bother, please.
He touched on crabs but they are never frozen and redone. In the winter months, the crabs in MD are coming from the Gulf from Louisiana or Alabama.
Virginia is for lovers; Maryland is for crabs! 😄
Utz, pronounced Uhhtz. NOT ootz, just sayin' hon. 😂
Mark doesn't know shit 😂
WE do LOOOOVE Old Bay! But second to crab, we make GREAT cheesesteaks (better than Philly IMO).
