Wow! how beautiful the short story not most people understand, or respects nature anymore weather it's the moon, sun, or stars, I love seeing them all every day, even at night especially the moon when I can't sleep just seeing what God has made for us to enjoy is a miracle, and when you read that poem made me tear up & think people don't appreciate nature anymore now like I use to in the 60's, and now, still will forever! These pages are all so wonderful, you have a great eye for composition. The first one I was telling you to cut around the bird more and thought you had because of cutting the border pieces to slip it in, but you fixed it with the extra flowers. Thanks for that because now I know how to fix a couple of my pages were I don't like certain areas. I hope that made sense! I spent the last few days cleaning out my garage freezer, during a storm last week apparently the electrical outage tripped more breakers than I realized and everything in freezer was a smelly mess. Didn't take long in the heat we have had too. I hope you are staying cool and enjoying your time drying flowers.💕

I just bought my very first issue of Daphne’s Diary. It was issue #3 that you are working with. It was so beautiful and so unique from other craft magazines in the US, I was having trouble cutting into it. Thank you for your designs and for giving me permission to do as you did. I have no worries. I subscribed to the magazine and in a few weeks will have another!

Good morning Lena. The second I forget to check what’s on the other side, I am bound to find I’ve cut up something better, haha. Thankfully the bookmark was still intact and perfect. I think many of us feel guilty if we keep a page simple, as if somehow we haven’t done enough, but there is often beauty in simplicity. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Love this journal and all the beautiful pages you have done. I am so close to making the decision to order Daphne's Dairy with the birthday money I received...oh what to do! I really want it, but as I get older I find I have less and less time to look at magazines. But then you seem to get so much enjoyment out of it. Ok...made a decision, I'm going to order it for one year! That's 8 magazines and that should do me for the rest of my life...hahaha. Thank you for the inspiration and for helping me to spend my birthday money :)

Love your pages so much! The R was for a game in the magazine, you search the whole magazine for letters and make words with them, and put them together to create a sentence. There are some duplicates of the letters.

Love what you did today. I have been following along with you as you do Daphne’s diary. I made a cover just like yours and am doing my own pages with the Diary. You are always an inspiration for my crafting. I hope you do an autumn/winter journal next.

Love the way you use Daphnes Diary magazines. I am making an art journal in a composition book with only Daphnes Diary magazines. The only thing I add sometimes are flowers, butterflies(die-cuts, stickers etc) which go well with the pages, for the rest I use only stuff from the magazines.
Thanks Astrid, it’s very liberating limiting yourself to just using the magazine isn’t it as it reduces supply overwhelm and of course everything is always cohesive. Glad you are enjoying creating in your composition book ❤️
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Yes it is. Also if you stick to 1 theme, like animals or color etc, it is much easier to find things in certain magazine instead of going through 20, 30 or more magazines to find what you like. You can stick to a minimal amount of magazines. And should you find something anywhere else you can keep it seperate from the rest.

I don't have any magazines, I'll have to go hunt for some. Journaling hasn't been my thing but I can see where it would be satisfying cutting and pasting things. I bet it really trains your eye for color too. I have art glitter glue in my amazon cart but like you I have so many glues already that I feel secretly bad about it.
Hello Wendy. I don’t want anyone to feel pressured into going out and buying magazines, although many of us collect them and they sit on our shelves gathering dust and this is a great way to enjoy them. I have to say I am managing just fine without my art glitter glue, although I still think it’s my favourite. Whether I will be able to justify the cost in the future, I am not so sure 💕
In this diary there were hidden letters to find that spelt out a special message. It was a competition for the anniversary of Daphne’s Diary xxx

Art glitter glue can only be shipped when the temps are not freezing and that makes it hard to get more in the winter months. Just be aware!!

I am always amazed to what detail you use everything in "Daphne's Diary". Lot's to learn for me :-) All your pages look beautiful! By the way: You will find out more about the meaning of the "R" on page 38. There were 13 letters hidden throughout the whole issue which made two words. If you emailed the solution to the given address, you could have won a surprise package. It is intersting to hear that you already received issue #5. I am still waiting for #4 to arrive ... But meanwhile I ordered all of the 2021 issues and those keep me busy until the new issue arrives :-)

Hahaha I agree with you about the glue bottle packaging. I just won't buy Alene's Tacky Glue anymore even if was the very best glue on God's green earth simply because I HATE the bottles. No matter how hard I have tried, I can never get the tip end cut off small enough and still get the glue out, and it ends up being messy to use, I lose the top and end up wasting a lot. If I accidently knock the bottle over or it gets knocked off the table, it's a major headache. EVen when I manage to keep up with the top, since the top doesn't fit snugly down, the glue gets really thick over time. Plus, it isn't very portable.
And yes, I admit to being a total KLUTZ, btw!
I just use plain ol Elmer's Glue-All (NOT the school glue). It is cheap, I can get it anywhere (and since I don't drive anymore this is a BIG plus), I can control the amount of glue bead easily, no top to lose, even if it gets knocked about with the bottle in open position, there isn't any mess and I can throw it in my journal kit and take it on the go without worry of it leaking. And mainly I just haven't seen where the Tacky Glue outperforms the Elmer's just as a glue.
Have yet to try the Art Glitter Glue, but I have ordered some precision tip bottles to put the Elmer's in to see how we go with that.
Let’s hope these manufacturers take note hey 🤞💕

I use my heat gun to take the pages apart. Then keep them tpgether with a clip until I am ready to use them.

Nina, always so simply put together and sweet. How do you keep your magazines and where. I find I’m overflowing with them and they do seem to take over my space. I hate parting with them.
I’ll share a clip of my collection in my next video, but I’ve been keeping the recent ones that I have been cutting up in a clear plastic wallet. I’ll share that too in the next video 💕
