Clovers are typically 3 leaf. 4 leafs are rare and if found, considered good luck.
Yeah, Four Leaf Clovers bringing luck is an Irish thing brought to popularity by St Patrick's Day.
@@swordmonkey6635 Actually it was the Three Leafed clover originally, used to explain the Holy Trinity.
@@TheMarrowMan But St Patrick's Day made the notion of the Four Leaf Clover popular to non-Irish. That's not taking away anything from the symbology of the Three Leaf Clover.
Inna, Tears For Fears is a BRILLIANT band! Their music is so good! Please go down the Rabbit Hole with them! You will fall in love with them!
My first impression was absolutely positive! 😁
@@InnaSoloMusic Nice reaction to a brilliant band. I highly recommend you react to their song "Woman In Chains" form their 3rd album The Seeds Of Love - a very powerful song with deep lyrics (you can Google the song meaning later)
"Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" are probably their most well known. And their best in my opinion. Also from 80's.
Like the reaction! "Elemental" is a great song. "Woman in Chains" "Sowing the Seeds of Love" "Mad World" "Break it Down" plus the ones above are also big hits from them.
Much agreed. I graduated from college in 1985 and these songs wafted throughout our dormitory on a daily basis. This band was solid.
So many good ones. This one and shout were my personal favorites. But hey.. it’s all good . Icons
I much prefer The Hurting album, but Songs From the Big Chair is an amazing album as well.
The walking bass-line in this song is very underrated.
Exactly what I say. I've been a musician for 55 years, with Bass as my favorite instrument. This song has one of the best Walking Bass Lines Ever. It's always been so much fun playing it. 👍
Absolute Masterpiece. Tears for Fears is TOTALLY amazing !! MORE please !!!
Great song! Songs from the Big Chair is an amazing album
This is my favorite Tears for Fears song. They were really amazing.
The leaves of four-leaf clovers are said to stand for faith, hope, love, and luck. It's often said that Ireland is home to more four-leaf clovers than any other place, giving meaning to the phrase “the luck of the Irish.” If you're lucky enough to find a four-leaf clover, look for more!
Consider the actual history of my homeland. We are everything but lucky. My grandmother, from County Claire, said the phrase is sarcastic at best. I don't know. I was born in Tampa lol.
Only 3 leaf clover here is Québec, Canada ... we always try to find one with 4, as kids... for luck!
🍻
"Luck of the Irish" is meant ironically because they had so little good fortune historically. Is everyone this ignorant they don't know that? "If you had the luck of the Irish you'd wish you were English instead"
@@docsavage8640 TRUTH! 🍻
Passion and emotions are the right description for 80s music. Great productions by real musicians, strong melodies and harmonies, excellent instrumentation and music arrangements set a high standard
Finding a four leaf clover in the grass is considered good luck. Might me an old Irish myth.
'Shout' was a song they did from the same album, that was later covered by Disturbed in 2000. 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' is another one, and used to be used as intro music by the Dennis Miller show on HBO in the 90's. 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' is a later song of theirs.
Woman In Chains is another good one.
Hey Ina.Born in 1966 and coming from the Netherlands the eighties for me was a time of absolute freedom.
"Pale Shelter" is my fave T4F song but this one is very good.
Best band from the 80's, great songs.
Apart from Marillion. 😛
Yup they are 100%!
One of the best bands to come out of the 80's. ✌️
Perhaps you remember this song's chorus (la la la la, la la la la, la la, la la..) from the movie "Donnie Darko". Long live the 80s!
Tears for Fears are amazing. I've seen them live twice recently, and they've still got it. I would 100% recommend Sowing the Seeds of Love and Woman in Chains. Masterpieces.
In 1985 I was 9 and remember hearing this song on the music show called Video Hits in Canada. Lots of great memories. *0s feels so alive and passionate in my opinion because it was a time of great optimism and entertainment and real experimentation.
In my top 5 bands of all time. Easy.
Tears for Fears is one of the 80´s faces, a mix of British rock and new wave, since 1981. They have great songs ans many success, as Mad World, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Break it Down Again, Woman in Chains, etc. Great band, certainly,, thank you Inna by react.
4 Leaf Clover is considered "lucky" as most clovers have 3 leaves.
If you liked this Tears for Fears video, "Shout" & "Break It Down Again" are must watches.
Inna, a "Four Leaf Clover" is traditionally a symbol of good luck. It comes from the Irish culture and lore. Finding or "walking over" a four-leaf clover is thought to bring good luck. A clover is a plant or a grass.
One of the leading units in the UK. Two great talents.
Fantastic band, I see them every chance I get. It is amazing they are still touring.
They actually have a new album out that came out last year called "The Tipping Point" you should hear the title track.
The "literal video" version of this song is hilarious.
Yes 80’s new wave is absolutely awesome, some 80’s teenagers were grouped into friendships by being new wave fans or fans of (hair bands) heavy metal😅 or just getting together and having Music 🎶 M/TV in the background 😊
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is my favorite of theirs. Cool video too with three wheelers in the sand dunes.
As a native English speaker, I am very impressed and proud of you for learning our language. Not only is it a mixture of many different source languages, but it's also full of slang terms and different pronunciations. Your accent is beautiful too, by the way.
This band was one of the pillars of the 80's. So many anthem like hit songs.
Elemental and Sowing the Seeds of Love, best Albums
one of my favorite bands... my favorite song from them is "Memories Fade", a song a lot of people know but maybe not from TFF
"Shout", "Sowing The Seeds Of Love", "Everybody Wants To Rule The World." My favorite '80's band. I just saw them in concert
last year. Still going strong! They put out a new album called, "The Tipping Point." Quite good...
Black Label Society - In This River (live doom troopin) You wont regreat!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
still going strong and sounding pretty darn good....
One of my all time favorites 😊
Clovers usually grow with three leafs, and it is very rare to find one with four leafs, so it's traditionally considered to be a sign of good luck and fortune to find a four leaf clover. I think this extends across several cultures, but for some reason I don't really know why, it's commonly associated with Irish culture, and leprechauns, or whatever.
Great great band! This song one of the best (shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Pale shelter).
many many awesome songs in the 80s for you to enjoy
did not realise that i knew every word to that song. until now.
one of my fav songs
The four-leaf clover is a rare variation of the common three-leaf clover. According to traditional sayings, such clovers bring good luck, though it is not clear when or how this idea began.
A four leaf clover is good luck
Clover grows close to the ground in grassy areas. Most clover has three little leafs....some have four but not as common.
Plenty great songs from them - Shout, Everybody wants to rule the world, Mad World, Woman in Chains, Pale Shelter, Sowing the seeds of love ....
Clover normally has 3 leaves, it's possible to find ones with 4 leaves but they're really rare. If you find a 4 leaf clover it's supposed to be lucky.
faith, hope, love, and luck
Best band ever
Tear for Fears - Everybody Wants to the Rule the World.....probably their most popular song.

In answer to other songs by Tears For Fears to react to:
Shout
Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Sowing The Seeds Of Love
I agree about 80s music being more passionate. That decade was about romance, passion, and finding the true love of your life. And all of this comes across in the music.
A four leaf clover is a good luck charm- because they are rare.
This isnt just from the 80s, this is the 80s
"Songs From the Big Chair" is one of my favorite albums. You should check out the whole thing.
4 leaf clover means, 'it's my lucky charm'
1985. I remember when this video premiered on MTV.
One of my long time favourite 80s bands. My sister actually was a huge TFR fan and has seen them live a few times. A four leave clover ... if you find one ... is a sign of luck.
I listened to this album (on tape) constantly on a trip to Italy with my family when i was 14. As a result, I think of Rome whenever I hear this song.
Tears For Fears are Curt Smith vocals and bass and Roland Orzabal vocals and guitar. They are unique in the fact that both guys sing lead vocal, Roland sings Head Over Heels, but Curt sings lead on what is probably their most famous song Everybody Wants To Rule The World. They have loads of great songs, check out Shout, Mad World, Advice For The Young At Heart, Sowing The Seeds Of Love, Pale Shelter, Change, Year Of The Knife, the list is endless. Tears For Fears recorded a new album in 2022 called The Tipping Point, you should check it out it is awesome. The title track is about the death of Roland's wife in 2017, other great songs are Rivers Of Mercy, My Demons, Long Long Long Time and No Small Thing. A four leaf clover is supposed to be lucky.
Definitely an 80s band. LOVED them at the time. This song is still on my short list.
When I was kid we would look through clover patches all the time looking for the rare "four leaf" clover, which is meant to be good luck if you find one.
Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair great album all the way through. Had quite a few HUGE hits.😉
Four leaf clovers are considered to be good luck.
Inna, this was prime 80s music videos at it's best and the music was TOTALLY 80s. Soooooo good. 4 leaf clovers(a flower) is supposed to mean goooood great luck. :)
Clover usually has three or fewer leaves. If you find one with four leaves, it's considered exceptionally lucky. Hence the reference to "four leaf clover" in the context of the lyrics
Thaks, one of my favorites song ¡¡¡¡¡
Just about anything from Rare For Fears will be good. They were one of the best bands of the 80s.
In general i love the mid 80's to mid 90's its just great music!!!! love the early 80's too but a lot of the recording co's pushed a ton of one hit wonders so if you werent around it makes it hard to sift thru
He believes she will be his Lucky Piece, or FOUR-LEAF CLOVER. You also should react to their official music video EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD, which was an MTV mainstay for a long time beginning in 1985.
For an 80's suggestion, try I'm No Angel. From Gregg Allman. One of his solo hits. Great showcase of his voice, and the solo- from "Dangerous" Dan Toler- is a goodun!
O.K. ......... BUT WHAT ABOUT : - Sowing the seeds of love , Adwice for the young at heart , Womans in chaince , Break it down again , Bad man's song , Elemental , Secrets ?
biggest and best 80s band. so many great songs. "shout", or "everybody wants to rule the world". huge huge hits.
Real Life--Send Me An Angel (29m) 80s
4 leaf clover are rare but if you find one it brings you good luck and you feel lucky
Head Over Heels is my favorite of theirs. But Shout has become a really close second. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is like the perfect 80's song. The one that really surprised me is Sowing the Seeds of Love. I don't think Tears For Fears has put out any bad songs.
Normally, clovers have three leaves,
but some have mutations that cause
them to grow a fourth, so they're rarity
is seen as lucky.
Four leaf clover 🍀 good luck.
I love the 80's too. I was a teen in the 80's. This is music I grew up on. Such a great variety of artists. I also love films from that decade.
Outstanding selection. The 80s was a very underrated decade for music. Great songs/videos. The Police, Duran Duran, Dire Straits, Van Halen, etc. Too many to mention.
Hi Inna! I'm sure someone has suggested this but this band has a song called "Mad World" that was popular and would be a good reaction. It's a cover version but still a solid song. The four leaf clover thing is just that it's a symbol of good luck, so he was saying that she was his good luck charm. See you later!! 😊
I was a freshman in highschool at this time. I was more of a hard rock guy. But this is one of those albums that everone kinda got into. Gosh dang you're cute and I love the reactins. Keep up the good work! GO BOSTON BRUINS!!! 🤟🍻👏
Hello Inna,
You can't imagine how happy I am that someone from your generation is interested in Tears for Fears.
Roland Orzabal is an underrated singer like many others.
I place him with Jon Anderson (Yes), Greg Lake (King Crimson & ELP), Freddie Mercury (Queen), Steve Perry (Journey), Brad Delp (Boston) Steve Walsh (Kansas, Steve Hackett and several others) etc.. .
Roland Orzabal is at the top of his art on the album The Seeds of Love, particularly in the song Badman's Song where he pushes very high notes for the time. For me, it's the cult Tears for Fears album. Like Selling England by the Pound by Genesis, Aqualung by Jethro Tull, Close to the Edge by Yes etc.
4 leaf clover they are incredibly rare
A four leaf clover means good luck for someone who finds one... Calling something or someone your four leaf clover means you have a strong feeling good things will come from having that thing or person. 🙂
There was a pop side to the 80s but there was also the artistic side to the 80s with artists like The Smiths and David Sylvian. Look Up "Forbidden Colours" by David Sylvian. Another interesting artist is Nick Cave.
This song reminds me of school. The heart of the 80's for me is the period between 80 to 83.
May I suggest two songs with the greatest intros of all time.
Lotus Eaters - First Picture of You 1983
Alan Parsons Project - Sirius and Eye in the Sky 1982
or the "godfather" of the 80's Visage - Fade to Grey 1980
Yeah the 80s was my teen years this is the heartbeat of the 80s And Donny Darko !
spot on about putting feelings into a song it really makes it pleasant for the listener when theres feeling and emotion , and relatability
If you love the 80s then you NEED to check out The Midnight if you haven’t already. They’re a modern synthwave band with music that sounds like it’s straight out of the 80s.
A clover 🍀 always has only 3 leaves 🍃. If you find a 4 leaf clover, it means that it is good luck for you. It's a good luck charm.
Four leaf clover means lucky charm.
I was 8 with this came out. 80's was the era of ballads and fun. Great great music. I think the 90's maybe early 2000's was when music was good. You tapped into a good band here.
4 leaf clover = lucky charm, good luck
Great song and great band. You need to check out everybody wants to rule the world, shout and woman in chains.
May I ask how old are you I was 21 when this hit the airwaves back in ‘85 wonderful years!!❤
When in Rome - The Promise
You should listen to "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" too
Most clover leaves are 3. Kids would search thru a whole area for a four leaf clover. They would save it in a book or binder for luck.
Four leaf clovers don't exist but the legend is that if you find one, you will have good luck, so i guess he is suggesting his love is his four leaf clover.
Hi Inna! Good reaction to one of many "Synth Groups" from the 80s. They were called that, because there would be at least 1 Synthesizer in the group. The Keyboard you saw in the video was a Synthesizer or "Synth". I bought my first Synth in the 80's, still have it. 🙂"Head over Heels" was actually one of Tears For Fear's hits. Other hit songs were, "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" and "Mad World". Feel free to listen to them when you have the chance. Good job, keep it up. Greetings from Sweden 😉❤
Good reaction. Yes, they are a band, and yes, this one is such a massive hit from the 80's, so you've probably already heard its chorus somewhere.
If you want to know more about their music, I got some suggestions for you: "Everybody wants to rule the world"; "Sowing the seeds of love"; "Shout".
