      Cool - Need to replace my control unit for Radio - Media - Phone - Seek - Track ... Looks like they all separate units?

    J P, I just bought the 2022 kia sportage and I want to put Sirius xm in it. Can you tell me which unit you put in and where did you place it? I would appreciate it very much. Keep your videos coming, they are very helpful and you explain things very well. Thank you.

    Thanks for the video man. I have to remove my instrument cluster to replace the lens. Do you think I have to remove the plastic trim that you removed with the air bag light on it to expose the screws for the instrument cluster, because I have no any idea where they are. Thank you!

    Hey JP, did you see a USB Port on the back of the unit? My unit is have a software issue and I'd like to try to debug before overpaying a dealership to replace the whole unit

    I have the Sirius XM tour I’ve installed. No aux, can’t use Bluetooth bc of Apple Car play. FM is the only way and it’s trash. So this thing actually works? Can you send a link? I assume my 2020 Sportage is exactly the same but the ones I see online are with the wrong connector meaning I’ll need an antenna adapter on top of this.. Please share link where you purchased or did you add the antenna adapter to Sirius adapter?

    JP I had the radio removed and a new system
    Put in. I love my new speakers but hate the new radio. Can I put my stock radio back in? The guy at the stereo store is telling me no ! At this point I just want the old radio back I don’t care about the money I spent on the new one. Am I crazy ? What do you suggest ? I’m overseas so my choices are limited .

      You should be able to put the radio in just fine, I get a few clients that want the old radio as well. Even if you put a new speaker system in with amplifiers there are ways to keep all that stuff working with the factory radio sometime the installer just doesn't want to do it

      Thanks for getting back to me. I did find someone locally who said he will do it . I think new speakers and basic system will be fine. The WiFi controlled media deck is not worth the bells and whistles .

    Hey JP I have a question, I have an audi a4 b7 and I bought a plug and play radio but it won't come on I got it to come on 2 times but I think the canbus is bad is there a way to bypass or fix this?

    • @jptheinstallguy
      @jptheinstallguy  Před 2 lety

      if it has anything to do with can then probably not i just ran into a similar issue where the kit wasnt allowing the can data to communicate so client had to return everything. the only thing i would say that could work is if you bypassed everything and i do mean everything. like 12v constant to battery 12v accessory to fusebox and bypass speakers wires from each speaker to radio.
