    What I think he should do is produce for Brandy. That could be incredible.

    Great interview. He actually did the right thing by following his conscience. And, now he is still here to tell the story. So many artists did NOT survive the 90's and are NOT here today. Money is NOT everything.

    From ‘99 to early 2000, he “retired,” & got tired of “gansta” wanna be’s. I can relate with how he felt. “Bryce Wilson presents GT or Groove Theory.” That’s broad, thats dope, cause it’s like throwing paint on the canvas & see what happens, without pressure. Independence, in music, business, & life, is what our people REALLY need!, to survive. Good luck with that, Bryce!. Electronic DJ’s, over Rnb Producers, is better. Teddy can probably relate to that!👍🏾

    I respect you, Bryce Wilson. Leaving the industry based on what was in your spirit. Smart man. GOD gave you that sense. Blessings, Brother.

    I understand him having the feeling of wanting to retire around 2000 after achieving so much success in the R&B realm, but he never really made music for the rap genre to that degree outside of Mantronix. I think back to the talent of that time from Maxwell, D'Angelo, Bilal, Musiq Soulchild, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Raphael Saadiq, Lucy Pearl, Jill Scott, Floetry, Alicia Keys, Common, Mos Def and a host of other artists that he would have fit perfectly and wonder what could have been.

    Damn... I always wondered why we didn't get more from Groove Theory and Bryce Wilson... but Everything he's saying makes a lot of sense. I'm a 90s Teen... I love music... and I only listen to music that catches my ear... or I'll search for specific Artists... I don't listen to any radio stations for music... lol... Only "Talk Radio" - I also listen to a lot of Young Artists... but these are the Type of Artists that are not at the Forefront of the Music Industry... because they're Authentic... Have Real Talent... and Are Not Pushing Foolishness on to the Youth. Hopefully Things Will Change in the Main Stream... with Conscious Hip Hop... Positive Music... and some Great R&B... Soul... this is what the Youth is Missing.... When I was growing up... had the Combination of All Of Those... along with all the other types of Music... Classical Too... so I wonder what goes through Minds of the Young Who Are Lost. #JustMyThoughts ☮

    I think Bryce needs to move completely away from a 'Bryce Wilson Presents Groove Theory'. I think he needs to drop the Groove Theory part and showcase music nobody has heard and new songs. Maybe cover the non Amel stuff.
    What Bryce doesn't really understand is that just getting two unknown singers to sing the music may not give it the push it needs, unless it is something longer term that will make them known.The public in general like to relate to the singer singing at not a random. I am not sure Bryce realises this.

    The track is called 'Dreams' but Nikki copied that too!
    I reckon Kim made him annoyed on that song

    What's the slow instrumental playing at the end of the video? It sounds real familiar but I can't place it and Shazam can't figure it out because you're talking over it.

      @@clairedaniels1877 Yes, he's fine and still look the same at 51. You can tell he took care of himself. I'm glad to see some people have morals. I'm glad he left the business. You hear what people are saying about the industry. Wow! That's something no one really want to have anything to do with period. It's a professional makeup artist left Hollywood and moved to another country. I'm actually subscribed to her channel. She saw too many drugs and other things. Trust me!

    New York vs the world huh? I think he got outta there when he realized that all eyes won’t always be on NY. That was when the No Limit/Cash Money era was real popular. The west coast rise was enough but the SOUTH did it for ya huh?🤔 I see you homie but whatever. I don’t understand how the plan was to get a new vocalist for new Groove Theory projects but he had material with Amel to make another album with her. The guests have a tendency to say weird and contradictory things on this channel that I catch right away.

    • @HalftimeChat
      @HalftimeChat  Před 8 měsíci +8

      Perhaps the material with Amel is locked by business (their working relationship ceased) so no need to release it

      You have no idea what you’re talking about. Music today is even easier than before a true producer can make this same trash today
