I was 15 when this came out, and I remember being totally blown away by the animation at the time. The fact it holds up as well as it does is a testament to classic Pixar
I was 5 or 6 when this came out. I’m 34 now. Nostalgia is on point with this one. Amazing animation for its time. I love all 4 Toy Story movies. I hear they are coming out with a 5th one and I cannot wait. Tim Allen as buzz and Tom Hanks as Woody are amazing.
Don't worry, there's a lot for kids on the first level too! Plus, if a kid identifies with Sid, the parents can take action.
My only hate about Toy Story 1 is that I hated most of The Other toys for mocking and making fun of Woody and making him Feel like he was gonna be replaced, it's like they're all supposed to be somewhat friends and Help each other out in the room, and it's like it Feels like they almost hated Woody, and they started mocking him as soon as buzz got in the room, where they said oh he's a new favorite, and Then they start mocking Woody so much that it caused his inner Jealousy and his own insecurities come out and his fears of being abandoned, that was just cruel in my opinion. I just felt bad for him. But Buzz is a real weirdo, he is crazy in the head.
But I can understand kids minds like this heck even us adults sometimes like new things sometimes, but it doesn't mean that we forget that we like the old stuff too sometimes more because they have sentimental value to us.
The others were jealous of Woody even before buzz came into the room. When they all had a meeting before the birthday presents. Potato head stated of course Woody isn't worried he's been Andy's favorite since kindergarten. So, they played favorites with buzz and made Woody feel left out too and playing on his fears of being abandoned.
Woody has been with both Andy's. Andy is Andy jr. Woody's name on his boot. He belonged to Andy's father. So, woody has been around for longer than most of the toys in that room. At least that's the theory and stuff I read that Woody belonged to his father. Which is why Andy was so attached to Woody? Look it up on Google if you don't believe me after doing hours of research it shows that Woody once belonged to his dad who died. Which is why Andy has a strong attachment to Woody.
You need to react to forest Gump. It has Tom hanks as Forest and it’s a rollercoaster of every single emotion. It’s incredible.
