Nf is probably the most relatable artist out there at an emotional intelligence level...and hyper self aware able to do rare process of self introspection and growth and we watch that through his music. His songs just hit me hard...perfect night drive stuff...
This song is brilliant. He’s battling fear from Mansion and he buried “him” in his backyard or back of his mind
NF usually has videos for his intros but as you can see this one didn't have one because he had said in a tweet that he was shaking while recording this song, it was so real for him and one of his best songs ever written at that time ...
But maybe one day he will change his mind and make a video for it, we'll that's our only HOPE to us fans lol

So many good NF songs, but this one of my favorite because it is just so well written, and relatable, and with a banger delivery. I just can't get over how well he connects all of his songs. If you know Mansion well, you can almost visualize what he's rapping about. Just so so so good.

@@Tremend_ sorry i just saw this comment, yeah man, I made it a point this year to go to as many events as i can, whether i have someone to go with or not, and now I’m up to about 30 events (mostly local concerts or dj at venues in town, but a few major festivals and concerts) this year alone.
Now that you heard it, go back and listen to it again knowing that FEAR is speaking. “FEAR” is speaking like 90% of the song and “NATE” on speaks about 10% of the song towards the end.
I wasn’t quite sure if you caught that, maybe you did. Lol

How in mansion he mentions how the basement is where he goes to write when hes in a bad place. He also implies this is the room where he was abused. Many have said Johnny is the name he uses to represent the man who abused him. So he said he will need anger to write that song. Always wonder if that song exists or if he ever finished it or not.
I wonder that too. He probably wrote it 10x but doesn't think it's good enough to come out. Or maybe he is past that point and doesn't see the point in bringing it out now.
But I would have loved to hear it and know what his emotions were about it and how he dealt with it.

Just a technical criticism: the two camera jump cuts are odd for this sort of content and I find it very distracting.
