    I guess that even a Landcruiser needs some maintenance after 30 years. Best truck ever, but still a machine! :)

    Subscribed. I just got a 94 LC and am having similar issues you've had from day 1. Fuel leak is top priority since it's smelling up the garage. Haven't seen any followup videos yet, but was wondering if you eventually had to drop the tank and check the fuel pump? Thanks again.

      Hey @Tommy Ha! Thanks for the support man!
      So there's a few things I understand can happen as far as the fuel tank goes:
      1. The filler hose and breather hose like mine in the video.
      2. The top of the tank where the fuel pump access is leaks. This can be accessed by removing the rear seats and right in the middle under the carpet there's an access panel to service the fuel pump, I have yet to do that on mine, but it's coming.
      3. The fuel tank itself has a crack in it, which is worst case scenario. Usually due to it taking a pretty heavy hit, so if your fuel tank doesn't look like it's been hit, it should be alright.
      In the case of number 3, you can probably drop it, and let it dry out for a few days with no fuel in it, and then weld the crack if you can find it. But gotta be careful there because you're potentially working with an explosive if you're not sure it's completely dry and clean 😬

      @@motor.mausGarage The hole or crack in the tank could have possible been made from pressure cycling due to a clogged charcoal canister, as well. If you had you're LC before the leak, it may have heard some hissing from the gas cap before the hole was made.

      That's a good point! That may actually be an issue with mine, as I do have air escaping when I take off the gas cap when it's near empty, thanks for the tip!

      Thanks for taking the time to respond. My 80 has been sitting for a year now 😂. Definitely a project now lol. Will address the whole fuel system at this point including dropping the tank and swapping out the charcoal cannister. Your channel is not only educating me, but huge motivation as well. Thank you!

    What is the part number for the gas filler hose?

    Can you tell the part number to the fuel tank

    • @motor.mausGarage
      @motor.mausGarage  Před 11 měsíci

      The fuel tank itself is 77001-69036
      Tbh I'd probably spend a little bit more and get the LRA replacement tank for a bigger capacity

    Is it possible to extend the fuel lines and move the fuel filter to a more accessible position?

    • @motor.mausGarage
      @motor.mausGarage  Před rokem

      It can probably be done, you'd just have to get some custom hard lines made I would imagine.

    sorry if I didn't catch this, did you replace the fuel breathe tube as well?

      I actually didn't in this video because I couldn't find the part number, but I have it now and will be replacing it soon! 👍
