Great. Love acrylics. Thanks
Fascinating to watch Jed’s magic appear.
Thank you Jed ! That was awesome 👍🤩🥰❤️
I’m really glad that I found your painting instruction on CZcams. I’ve only watched a couple but I can’t wait to try out some of your tips. In my experience we would use the words negative space versus negative painting and translucent when the layers of color show through. Thank you!
Jed is my favorite artist!
I’ve been watching for the last two years and I loveit
Great show!
Thank you ! Jed👍
Hi Jed ! This is awesome wow ❤
Excited about this live today. I always love watching you paint, Jed!
This was such a gift! Thank-you, Jed! Feeling so much gratitude to be able to sit and learn from the comfort of my home. Life is good!
You are so welcome, happy to be able to do it! :-)
holy cow. What a great demo. Thanks Jed.
Excellent! Thank you Jed!
Thank you Eric ! 👍🤩❤️😊
Jed your incredible! Fantastic teacher ❤️ thank you!
Love painting light and win magazine. Thank you for inspiration!
I've been looking at, working with this negative space approach to painting. At times I am ok and even successful with it but it is a head twisting shift. This time around, while watching you Jed, I felt like I understood the process better. I wasn't automatically and unconsciously shifting back into seeing and thinking in positive space painting nearly as often. Thank You for doing this presentation and for openly expressing how to approach doing this on the fly. Very nice to be more at ease with this approach.
One of the big pluses for me about going through this shift in how to view a scene and then illustrate it, is that it kind of demands that you challenge yourself to see in a diametrically opposite way. Sort of like Yoga of seeing and painting, to me.
Wonderfully presented just subscribed to your site
Jed you this is fantastic!!
Thank you sir
So much time look forward to each day
Thanks
Thank you so much for this lesson. I've been hesitating using zinc white for a back light sky behind a night cityscape I'm working on. Now I can stop dithering and proceed with more confidence.
Dude this is sweet!!! Gonna try this.
Hi Jed from Canada Ontario 👋

Thank you! I've struggled with the concept of negative painting/space for a while. This explanation and demo clicked things into place in my brain.

So glad you're enjoying it!
Interested to how he accomplishes such great art. Hi from Shelby in Green Valley Arizona
As someone who does watercolor, acrylic, digital, and pastel, I love that you bring in other mediums. Because of schedule I gravitated to watercolor, which I love, but I’ thrilled every time I get to use my acrylics and my French Easel. I’m so glad you have great artists in all mediums on!
