Khardung La Pass, located in the Ladakh region of India, is famous for being one of the highest motorable passes globally, reaching an impressive 5,359 meters (17,582 feet) above sea level. It's a must-visit for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
This pass is a gateway to the beautiful Nubra and Shyok Valleys, making it a popular destination for tourists. However, due to its high altitude and challenging terrain, it's only accessible by road and is typically open from May to October, depending on weather conditions.

Health Precautions -
1.All tourist/visitors arriving in Leh must undergo at least 48 hrs of acclimatization before initiating their journey to high altitude areas
2.Road travel does not help at all in acclimatization. It builds up the altitude effect progressively.
3.Tablet Diamox-250mg (acetazolamide) must be taken twice a day, after 4.breakfast after dinner at least two days before starting journey to Leh 5.and should be continued for two days more, after arriving at Leh.
6.There should be no active physical exertion on the first two days of arrival in Leh.
7.Tourists should have at least 2-3 ltrs. of water per day and should avoid alcohol, smoking cigarettes and sedatives
8.Tourists should have a light meal on the first day of arrival to avoid indigestion.

One information when you scroll to video 20: 33 nubra valley is a cold plateau with sand and extreme climate.. but that greenery patch is an oasis .. thats found in few parts of india 👌

It also didn't interest gautham is because the routes he took in the earlier parts of the video was like that. The landscapes that he saw before reaching khardhungla was like that it was just fab!!❤. Be it khistwar or daksum or the death pass everything had made him to rise his expectations of the ideal destination. But the travel and the stops were itself much more beautiful than destination❤.
This applies to life too, you run for something which you may not feel upto it's worth once you have achieved but the path and travel will always be amazing if you have enjoyed it❤.
