That was brave to go, stuff like clubbing gives me anxiety. I don’t drink anyway so I wouldn’t see the point in going. But kudos, hope it’s even more fun next time.
Awesome story time. The Gay 90’s in Minneapolis Minnesota is actually bomb. It’s a three level bar and some Sundays are 18 and up nights.

Sounds like a pretty normal first experience without a friend. Never hit on the guy someone tells you thinks you’re cute, they need to work for that and approach you themselves. For the drinking... go with friends, drink before. If you drink something hard, it won’t hit you for a bit so your buzz will last longer. Just always be safe and have fun!

I wanted to say more than one thing and didn't know if I should say them separately or just as one comment. But I don't want to spam you, so I'll do it as one comment.
1)don't worry about the haters. ("don't worry about what people think because most of the time they don't")
2) video ideas, I was thinking it would be cool to show off your soccer skills and somehow incorporate them into a video.
3)Also some inspirational/motivational quotes or advice for gays facing problems (homophobic parents or friends, dating, how to handle being ghosted by guys you've been chatting with)
If you were in Australia you can drink from 18 and up lol.. You are brave for going on your own. Thanks for shearing your story. And if you can take 1000mg vitamin C daily you will get better faster lol...

OMG it always freaks me out that in the US you have to wait until 21 to drink. Before Covid my Sat night would entail, going to XXL Club from 10pm-6am, then jump in a cab to Beyond which starts at 4am on a Sunday Morning and carry on hardcore clubbing until Beyond closes around 3pm on Sunday... however after too much drink and dancing - getting onto the Subway/Tube with your t-shirt stuck too you looking like death sweaty , clearly in clothes from the night before whilst everyone else has been shopping and is now looking at you. Eek god I miss this... cant wait for Covid to end and clubs to reopen
Oh when I ws younger I'd been to all the clubs between Providence and Boston. Found out clubs weren't my thing.

Well, sounds like you had a good (and wild) time lol. I'm from around Boston and everyone talks about Machine. Even people from high school went. Clubs aren't really my thing though.
Great story 🎥! I was same when I first went to gay club - very nervous and very surprised at number of 'str8' guys too! But I could drink, which helped! Would happily get you a drink as only need to be 18+ in the UK, so little chance of that happening unfortunately! 😕😳 enjoy the channel though, all the same!

I was an alcoholic when I was 24. I took pills and drank all the time. I am bi and decided to go to a club because I was bored and it had been a bit. So I go to this bar that has "octopuses" which are 8 drinks in a fish bowl. They have all these long straws. Most people share them I guess haha. I was just having like 3 of them on my own. I ended up talking with this guy for hours. In Buffalo last call is 4am. So the bars are really open until 5am. The guy I was talking to like knew everyone lol. So I just got plastered and woke up with him in my bed. We then dated for 4 years. I only remember about a 4th of that time of my life. I was kicked out of bars all the time because I would show up already drunk and fall and hit my head and stuff. I eventually went to rehab and have been sober for 2 years 🙃. My pancreas definitely remembers those nights. My bf actually never drank. So he would drive all over the country and Canada because he was into drag stuff. I personally never got it haha. I just enjoyed seeing him happy. I was at Toronto 2016 pride and it was like 3 days and hot. Like the temperature was insane and most of it was outside. I was drinking the whole time and when we got back to Buffalo I actually needed to get an IV. RuPaul was there and I had no idea who that was, but my bf had so much fun. Sometimes you just need to make compromises in a relationship. Plus be with a Saint that puts up with your baggage

Aww man, that was rough to get through. Everyone has firsts, so it made me smile. I admit my 1st times at several diff gay bars in Ft Laud & Holywood, Florida were on my own also, but Nova Southeastern University was nearby & tons of Medical & Law students were earning their advanced degrees there, so I met the hottest boys in my life there, after drinking myself a good buzz. What many of us had in common was our home states were not Florida, so 1 key is to figure out something you know you'll have in common with a guy (clothing, situations, same drink at bar, whatever. I was new, they were new to the university & all of them were hot! Hell I started introducing ones I'd just met to new hot ones the next night at another club. 3somes resulted, hot ones!! Also good to get to know the door guy, the more people you're introduced to the better - it benefits you in the most unexpected situations. The best gay life is 1 lived in a very very gay populated area, which can be judged by how many full-time gay bars & bathhouses operate in a 2-miles area (like Boystows in Chicago & Ft Lauderdale & nearby Miami) as well as well-known California cities I've still not been to visit. But Iowa-grown boys sadly won't find the thrills of "major" gay safe city areas. Like anything, the more you go out, the more tricks & techniques you learn & your "Bar G.P.A." will rise!
